I went to MU and I've heard that Pitt left because he was accused of cheating and steadfastly denied it; and that he go so pissed, he ended up just leaving, which would explain why he seems reluctant to associate himself with the University of Missouri.

I'm surprised the university didn't just hand him the degree making up something just so they could claim that he graduated from there. I agree that he wouldn't have earned it that way, but it's clear he has no real incentive to go back. There's only a few exceptions of millionaires going back to finish their degrees, and the only example I can think of is Steve Wozniak.
