ABC= Lush melodies, romantic lyrics, and a wonderful union of classical music and pop.

A very distinct and appealing sound to this group!

I saw them perform at a night club in Toronto in 2007....they still had the magic!

Thanks guys for a lot of great memories growing up in the 80's!

@6inbox Yeah, but there was a lot of crap that came out in the '80s, too. Sure, it was million dollar crap, but crap nonetheless as far as my preferences go. I remember having to endure MANY top 40 songs, hair band junk, and the like just to be treated to a song like this on MTV. There's some pretty decent songs out now, but not much to get excited about. We need a music revolution like the late 70s and the early '80s saw.

Classic Jam!! This was 1982-83, the year of the Brits: Culture Club, Madhouse, Dexys Midnight Runners, the Clash (an old punk group who had a resurgence in the US), the Human League, etc.

The video was also about 15 years ahead of its time. They don't make them like these guys anymore

Loved ABC for years and years!! But this video perplexes me! Is it cheap, or is it supposed to look cheap? Did the record company pay too much for the lush ABC film 'Mantrap'? "OK lads, we spent most of the budget. For the video we rented some cardboard sets, a paper clown suit, and an old Punch and Judy stand." lol I do like that hungry crocodile in that part!
