  • Yes scene in ST8 when Cockrane, Riker and La Forge piloting first warp ship is just epic!

    So only 50 years left!

  • best :)

  • ...lets see what shes got!!!

  • Loved the tunes from Zeph Cocrane... for an old guy liking the younger stuff. I guess that and the booze got him to warp out ........... lol cool video. :D

  • @darian1968 You mean a young guy loving really old stuff (2060's liking 1960's music)

  • My favorite warp scene is when the Reliant detonates and the Enterprise boldly goes to warp faster than any starship has ever gone before.

  • only less than a century till real warp drive!

  • Only 53 years to go...

  • OHHHHH If we had warp drive and starships today! Just imagine some of us instead of being truck drivers we would be star freighter captains!!!! :D Damn why does real life have to suck with primitive technologies!?!? I'm not a trucker but if starships were around today I'd either be an engineer or starship captain.

  • btw, this video gets hilarious near the end... leading up to the nerdy-voiced:

    "space. the final phuntier."

  • Geez. I think the old version of star trek was intended to be watched while completely baked. Very trippy.

  • @Jorgon01 That is all too true...

  • navigation deflector dish

  • What keeps the Enterprise from bumping into a star or planet when going at warp speed? i realize the amount of visible matter in proportion to space is infinetesimal, but at some point i would expect a collission.

  • Sensors detect objects too large to be pushed out of the way by the Deflector, and a course correction would be made. It's never been mentioned, but I'd assume such things are automatic.

  • New question. Why is Geordi always reversing the polarity? You'd think if he's leave the damn polarity alone once in a while the thing would work itself out, but, oh, no, "Let's try reversing the polarity, Captain." i think he gets off on reversing the polarity. And how come no mention is made of any toilets, or whatever passes for toilets in the future? When you gotta go, you gotta go.

  • @tommerrigan1956 Deck 1 actually. Look for 'Journey's end' youtube video. unless

it was removed by the user still should be there. 1 bathroom for the entire ship.

and it is in the saucer section.

  • The ships computer follows a plotted course.

  • @tommerrigan1956:

The course is plotted by the starship's navigator before going to warp in order to avoid such mishaps.

  • It just does not get any better than the disco tunnel~

  • SWEET JESUS! O_O

  • You have to accelerate spacetime around the car using an ultra compact particle accelerator using deterium nuclei. It exploits Einstein's general and special theory of relativity.

You have to know Gravity is a result of spacetime flow into the center of the Earth of which objects follow like a conveyor belt. Gravity is a manifestation of that and NOT a force within itself.

  • Love all the yelling in the midst of all that warp :)

  • I also like the warp speed "look" in the new movie. Seems more realistic to me. Think about just how fast warp speed really is....you wouldn't see any kind of light. You would see the ship, and instantly at warp, it would just literally disappear.

  • Pretty much like the 4th of July! I loved it!

  • The Ent D never looked better than it did it Generations, that warp out at the amargosa observatory was class :D

I always loved the warp effects from the first movie though, something "big" about them. Shame they never re-used that style effect.

  • TMP warp effect is my personal favorite. But I must say the warp effect in the new film is really cool.

  • same here

  • @BobM925 Yes, TMP Warp drive is my favorite. If only someone had it with the original sound fx.

  • Excellent! wish I could give it a higher rating. wonder if youtube would frown on me making a warp drive video?

  • "Sweet Jesus!" lol such an awesome line! Nice showcase there rifle.

  • Zefram Cochrane =)

  • God I love star trek.

  • Definantly better than any Star Wars jumping to 'light speed'! Great job, Rifle!

  • lol the ent.-D looked like it crashed at a rather high veloocity

  • another good one
