  • RIP Bob Sheppard.

  • RIP Bob Sheppard.

  • where did this come from i got chills looking at that

  • RIP Mr. Sheppard.

  • I remember the announcement he made at Yankee stadium when Mickey Mantle passed away and Ave Maria was playing on the organ

  • Amazing find...but that means that the "old" Bob Sheppard voice used in "61*" was totally inaccurate (though it was very touching)

  • were did you find this?

  • Amazing piece of history featuring an amazing and legendary voice.

  • He sounds so young.

  • Wow I have goosebumps. This clip is over 40 years old and that was Bob Sheppard the voice of Yankee Stadium I can't believe you found this. I am a diehard Yankees fan and have enjoyed listening to Mr. Sheppard introduce the players at Yankees home games for my entire life. What a voice he is the best PA announcer in sports history.

  • its sad that he is retiring. and eveyone is SO used to him hes been doing it for morethan half a century - since 1951

  • I can't believe he isn't going to be the PA announcer anymore. It seems like at least at the old stadium he was part of the Yankees lore and the dignity of the Yankees. I don't like the new guy at all. Jim Hall is better than Paul Olden.

  • this is incrediable where on earth did you get this?
