This is sung by the bass player of the band, Scott Sorry - he has taken lead vocal on about 3 of the newer WH songs. He's a bit of an old punk fan and as someone said earlier, it's in respect to a band he likes that not many prople have heard of and thinks everyone should check them out!
Let me clarify my last comment. I honestly think that Chutzpah was one of their best albums but JNR has been one of their worst... Its not terrible though.

It's not better than the original. This doesn't suck. Whoever's singing is just fine. This isn't a f@cking contest. It's called "Rock 'n Roll." Jim Carroll put his mind dribblings to rock 'n roll, and it worked. I've gone through 4 copies of "Catholic Boy" in my life so far. The Wildhearts are one of the greatest rock 'n roll bands ever, for many, many different reasons. It's called giving a f@cking shout-out. Like they did with "Understanding Jane." You missed the point.
