E4 bought the rights to show season 1-4 here in UK so they are probably planning to show all of it and be somewhere through season 5 over here when season 6 starts in US (i'm sure there will definately be a season 6)

I love both shows but what I loved about HIMYM is how the storylines seem to tie together and I love the flashbacks.

Another thing is that my favorite couple(M&L) on HIMYM got married early in the show instead of being on and off like Rachel and Ross did on Friends.

I never got into Friends.. not saying it's a bad show, because although I don't like it, I can see how popular it is and continues to be even though its finished.. HIMYM hooked me from day one.. The jokes are a little more my sense of humour and I love the cast :)

Because it is. Friends is very simplistic in the way that it was written, and none of the characters were very complex or grew much at all over the ten years. HIMYM, is very intelligent and has character growth in spades.
