Excellent ideas, I'm going to try them out tonight, I bet keeping the carto wet like that prevents any burnt taste too. That was my main complaint about refilling, you have to do it very often or they start tasting bad, and it was a pain to have to keep removing the hard plastic cap, plus they got deformed after a while, again thanks for the ideas.

@wildpitchernae Yeah! ive seen that, it looks really sweet. I wouldnt mind trying that out, but my current passthroughs are working fine still.

question! is those auto batts on the passthru there not sealed are they? and the manual ones are eh?

Yeah, I used to have a manual button passthrough and my brother pulled the wires out, but it was sealed. The automatic passthrough isnt sealed.
