@Jelboo its one thing for the lions to kill and eat the damn thing its another for them to maim it and then the creature get away only to be put down my some cheap ass zoo
Should of let them eat it, free food without having to pay for the meat lol....but if i was the lion..I'll find a damn way to hop that unfenced wall...lmao.
poor deer the lions did nothing wrong their wild animals doing what comes naturally to them but as for the humans (zoo officials) they just stood watch they made no atempt to call the lions back or trank them to save the dear so what happend? that baby died
its food the lion is a hunter how is it sad you eat cow and pig and chicken why not say Oooo poure cow had a very terible life and you gave money to the care taker
Within this series of videos you can see the degradation of the internal hunting instincts of caged and or confined preditory animals. In the wild the deer would have been dispatched immediately and feeding would have begun. I believe zoos in general should encourage the preditory instincts of preditory animals within the habits created for them. Whatever the harshness of nature or the reality of preditory animals is, it should not be hindered or interupted by zoo keepers or the public.
@MrSaturdayNightSpecL They naturally chase things that move/run, and they are curious animals naturally... They are TAUGHT how to hunt by their parents its not like they would "naturally" know how to kill anything. There are videos of wild lions chasing down gazelle and not knowing what to do with them. That killer instinct is learned behavior not natural. This is exactly what a wild lion does before it's taught how to hunt, its not like they know to bite the neck till the animal stops breathing
@allstarpcg I disagree completely. In a hungry state and without human interferance the deer would have been dispatched and then eventualy eaten so long as no other sustanence was provided by zoo keepers. This is the natural order of things. To kill is never a learned behavior, its instinctual to eat and if one must kill to eat then one would do so. Mind you also that those are not lion cubs either.
@MrSaturdayNightSpecL OK, try to understand what I'm saying. A lion learns how to hunt. Lioness' teach their cubs how to hunt and also how to kill. It is not "natural" or a "instinct" for them to go chase down an animal, bite him in the neck (knowing it is the best way to kill) and stop the animal from breathing, that is learned behavior. I'm sure if you put a lion cub with an animal it would eventually figure out what to do, but it would not be efficient and probably be pretty slow and gory
poor deer...deer are diseased vermin that damage property and spread disease. If this was so disturbing for the zoo goers..why didn't they wander over to watch the fat lazy pandas chomp on some bamboo. that seems more their speed
@alohafunnygirl Deer are not vermin. Nor are they diseased. They damage your property because you moved into their natural habitat. There are more diseases amongst humans and yes even your house pets and the rats that live inside your house without your knowledge than most natural animals ecounter in a life time. I am not sure if you know this, but most diseases that effect deer, don't effect other live stock, pets or other domesticated animals.

these videos disappoint me, i want to see that deer ripped to shreds, as a matter of fact throw some hyenas in there so they can fight over the poor sap. if these cats were raised in the wild that deer would have been dead already
stupid fucks lol, oh poor thing. Deer like that get killed every day and i can tell you they don't get help, its nature so i wish the person in the video would shut her fuckin trap
One does not take one's children to the zoo to witness killing of animals. One takes one's children to the zoo to witness preservation of animals. Although it is natural for the lion to make a quick meal of something like a deer, most would not want their kids to see it first hand.
to watch an animal that has been so stupified and made so weak through the captivity forced onto it, that it cannot even function as the animal it is anymore? it is tragic.
Yeah, only that in TV they cut out some parts because it actually isn´t that quick, the lions will even play with their prey, and seeing it in real life is different then in TV...
@j0xer ya dude i know! i bout a lion the other day: 800 bucks! thats also how many it ended up eating! haha. get it? buck, like a male dear? i crack myslef up!

they can't just "let the lions eat it" their food is highly regulated and they wouldn't risk the lions getting sick from eating contaminated meat.
lions are expensive, meat is cheap.
