It was a Sunday Night game with Al Michaels and John Madden with the play by play AND opening Day for Indys beautiful & brand new stadium. Kyle made plays and was fun to watch. Orton was 9-6 as a starter this year before he got hurt, and he played on a team with NO offensive talent, a decent RB, which still had the 24th ranked rushing attack. ANd most importantly 21st ranked Defense to go along with no offensive talent. Facts are Facts bud. Cutler also has a better 2 minute drill rating, a better 4th quarter rating, and gets better as the game progresses whereas Orton falters as the game progresses.

Being mobile still helps a lot. Cutler used his mobility a lot more in 08. The Bears didn't even give up 30 sacks last year and they got even better this offseason. The D didn't do that bad. They "fell apart" because of the scheme by the D coordinater who didn't change anything and got demoted this offseason. They also got worn out by being on the field longer than any D in the NFL because Orton and the offense sucked and got too many 3 and outs. They still did OK and forced a lot of turnovers. They also have the best special teams. Orton got a lot of help by the D and ST with great field position. He still sucked and he won;t have that in Denver.
The Bears actually ranked 11th in pass protection last year. They got 3 new guys who are good so they are getting even better. I don't think 1 sack in 14 games is washed up. Hester is still returning punts but now they have Danieal Manning returning kickoffs. He was #1 in the NFL last year and is really good. Marshall's stats are going to go way down with ORton. Hester could have ad 1000 yards last year if Orton could have connected with him some of the time but he couldn't. That was with Hester only starting half the season. I Think Marshall is going to be a FA next year and not re-sign with the Broncos.

The similarity b/t orton and cutler, both of them are from mediocre college football teams and had above average careers during their college. However, Cutler proved that he can be 'really' good before the draft but Orton didn't. Brady did not either, but he is currently having the best career among quarterbacks. Orton was 9-6 as a starter this year before he got hurt, and he played on a team with NO offensive talent, a decent RB, which still had the 24th ranked rushing attack. ANd most importantly 21st ranked Defense to go along with no offensive talent. Facts are Facts bud. Cutler made the Broncos offense what it was. Orton's inhabiting a receiving corps that lead the league in drops going into week 15 of last season, and had one of the worst rushing attacks (went through 8 different running backs).
And how the hell can you call Moreno a feature running back? He hasn't taken a single NFL snap.

Uh no, those are not the facts. Cutler was one of the top scrambling QBs in the league - think that had anything to do with his o line's success? And he's one of the top 5 QBs in the league when rushed or under pressure putting up an 85 QB rating as opposed to Orton's 59.7 rating when rushed.
Cutler also has a better 2 minute drill rating, a better 4th quarter rating, and gets better as the game progresses whereas Orton falters as the game progresses.

Being mobile still helps a lot. Cutler used his mobility a lot more in 08. The Bears didn't even give up 30 sacks last year and they got even better this offseason. Here's the thing, Orton is a pure pocket passer. Cutler is not. Cutler helps the O line by being able to make plays with his legs and Orton can't. The D didn't do that bad. They "fell apart" because of the scheme by the D coordinater who didn't change anything and got demoted this offseason. They also got worn out by being on the field longer than any D in the NFL because Orton and the offense sucked and got too many 3 and outs. They still did OK and forced a lot of turnovers. They also have the best special teams. Orton got a lot of help by the D and ST with great field position. He still sucked and he won;t have that in Denver.

Hester is still returning punts but now they have Danieal Manning returning kickoffs. He was #1 in the NFL last year and is really good. Marshall's stats are going to go way down with ORton. Hester could have ad 1000 yards last year if Orton could have connected with him some of the time but he couldn't. That was with Hester only starting half the season. OK Yeah Orton was tough, had a good work ethic, and managed the game. But you have to look at whats true. He wasnt that great of a QB. You have to notice the negative things. His legs go stiff when hes throwing, he stares down his WR's and makes it obvious to the defense. And his deep arm is very unpredictable. He missed alot of good opprotunities. On the upside he had a good arm in the middle of the feild and on short range accuracy and was good at checking down to the RB. But c'mon who isnt.

The haters can say what they want about Kyle, but as a starter with Da Bears hes 21-12. If our suspect d-fense didnt blow 3 leads late in the game last year, hed be 24-12 and we would have gone to the playoffs. Cutler with the Broncos is 17-21.

the Bucs game, if Kyle didn't throw a Pick 6 to a DEFENSIVE END, they win. Carolins Panthers game, he missed WRs WIDE OPEN downfield MULTIPLE times. There was a play where Marty Booker was all alone and he completely missed him. the Broncos defense is PURE trash and they have no real threat at RB. They had sucess because the D had to respect the passing game. If Cutler was on the 05 Bears, he woulda won 15 games. Orton sucked and had one of the best Ds ever. You are really sucking his dick.

Notice how all of his passes are around the 1'st down marker, notice how players like Greg Olson have to slow down to catch his passes.

hese not bad i guess! we got a bargain tho! cutler which didnt wanna play in denver anymore 4 2 first rounds, a 3rd rounder and kyle orton! my fave player is utler but like McD said, its a business and you gotta do whats right for the team, and right now we're rebuilding and we need all the players we can get! thats my opinion, dont hate me for it, believe me i luv cutler, i got a poster, and his name written on my walls lol so yeah its hard!

Im a HUGE Orton fan and am sorry to see him go. I think most Broncos fans will grow to like him throughout training camp and preseason. He has yet to reach his peak and has a winning record during his tour in Chicago. Jay Cutler WANTED to be traded because he and the head coach didnt click. I just hope hes worth what we gave up to get him.

clady will be better protection at left tackle than st. clair or whatever. i see some potential in him though. i think with mcdaniels help orton could do well with the broncos. but now he is not only going to be compared by bronco fans to elway, but now the fans will be complaining about how cutler is better.

Why is everyone against orton? He has done a better job than grossman and hasn't peaked. Im not saying hes perfect but the Bears have got shit at a lot of key places and no-one ever talks about that. Where the fuck were his WR last year the OL was shit and the D is a shadow of it's former self. The QB is the only problem area thats got better over the past two seasons

I can't believe how fickle some of our Bears fans are. It disgusts me. Orton had minimal mistakes this year. I fully support him for 2009, even got me an Orton jersey. I think with the right coaching and training, Orton could mold into that franchise QB we have been waiting for. Screw the rest of you bickering supposed Bear fans. You are the same people who walk out before game is over when we're trailing, boo our players and expect perfect or near perfect performances every game.

BEARS FANS : The bottom line is this: Watching the Bears beat the Colts on ESPNs Sun Nite Football @ Indys Lucal Oil Stadiums first game with Madden and Michaels calling the game was an amazing and magical experience! Kyle was calm and kool walkin to the line of scrimmage and calling out assignments be4 the snap. Thats what Im talkin about! We need some cheerleaders like the Colts, though and I loved them till they beat us in the Superbowl.

Kyle Orton started 15 games in '05.He has started 32 games in his life, for a 70 QB rating. He is a bad QB who tore up shitty defenses like the Lions, and when it comes to average defenses he gets his ass ripped up.
He was the worst 2nd half QB last season, and he sucks when the game matters.He has no passing game past 15 yards.He was basically the 25th best QB in the NFL last year, it's PATHETIC how we have so many people who support him.

Ive been disapointed over the years because the OWNERS are cheap asses and dont wanna front the $ for a McNabb or Manning. Watch Johnathan Quinn and Chad Hutchinson and Cade Mcnoun was no fun at all. With Kyle, hes got his flaws as I mentioned, but with a good qb coach he can resolve them and take his game to the next level.

Orton is not a top 15 guy. He is not a top 20 guy. He just BARELY gets in the top 25.

REAL Bears fans: Dont waste your time responding to all the haterz out there. Kyle aint perfect. After all, this was his first FULL season as starting qb. He needs to stop staring down his receivers to tip off the D and learn to accurately throw the deep ball. On the flipside, he lets every1 get into being apart of the offense and makes it FUN TO WATCH! I love when he checks down on the line.

Kyle outplayed Manning at their brand new stadium in prime time. Its an amazing building. Besides a new O & D coordinator, the Bears have to find a quarterback coach that can help him develop his skillz and take his game to the next level next season. Grossman used to be awesome, for some reason he's an idiot QB. I have no idea why the bears resigned him. IMO, they should've had Orton, and Griese. Atleast they did something right this offseason, getting Matt Forte! HELL YEAH! :D
