The song may be called "How I wrote Elastic Man" but the lyric is "Plastic Man", the rest of the lyrics explain this anomaly and it's the point of the whole song. To be fair to Frank I was listening to the song for 20 years before I realised this.

I don't know this show but the way that guy busted right into the riff as he did, I would have to say he had practiced prior to it going live. So his shocked look seemed a bit hard to believe.
