@r2darky As I said, I can only speak for Christianity: Catholic monks were solely responsible for the preservation of history during the middle ages. Rulers who embraced Christianity created fairer laws. For a more modern example, look at the Red Cross; it was founded by Christians and was a Christian oginization for a time.

I Believe in Jesus Christ as my lord and Saviour. I wasa regular church goer but stopped going to church for a while, found that there was a hole in my life and went to a gospel concert and sang the above song-boosted my faith no end.!!

I don't know what you mean by people being scammed by religion. @r2darky As I said, I can only speak for Christianity: Catholic monks were solely responsible for the preservation of history during the middle ages. Rulers who embraced Christianity created fairer laws. For a more modern example, look at the Red Cross; it was founded by Christians and was a Christian oginization for a time.
I'm afraid your second statement is incorrect. Religion was not the motive for most of those wars, it was just the excuse. The motives were usually greed or racism.

However, this is no grounds for claiming that "every religion is BS," or that all religions are "made by a person to get power and riches." My point is that, while Christians have have killed people and started wars, that is not what Christianity is about. In fact, most wars started by over-zealous Christians actually run counter to Christ's teachings.
