  • Matt Johnsson always wearing that same white t-shirt, classic!

  • He is beautiful, I love his voice, wish I could have met him.. Rest in Peace eternally Jeff, One Love boo!

  • jeff and tim are so great man... the most influencial men on earth in my opinion.

  • this is great it takes a special kind of person to sound exactly the same singing live!

  • i shamefully only just really found out about the true extent of this mans genius, what a phenomenal talent. read an interview with an artist called 'jacko hooper' (who i also didn't know...) and he listed him as an influence, has a track called 'common sense' on youtube, well worth checking out if you want more beautiful acoustic vibes from a young man. Bravo Jeff

  • and to the stupid ass TROLLs who disliked this, please F.O.D.

  • This should have 390 million views. What a shame that someone with so much true talent and ability can be overshadowed by such filth, ie Kanye, Lil Wayne, Rhianna, blah blah blah.

  • The squeal before "didja say, no this can't happen to me?" @7:45 kills me.

  • glasto 95 best every meet mr buckley never the same again

  • ?

For all the wankers who have no clue try listening .

  • drummer's having a blast

  • @Pixtler Haha yea, bassist looks pretty bored too.

  • m a singer and just attempted the long "real first chorus... one word.. OXYGEN!

  • I saw him in Sydney, I am committed to covering his work.

  • @raygabmiamizzi I am a o.k guitarist and I would love to be commited to his work. I just aint got the talent, but Ill do my best till the end of my life. The sound does things to me that I've never experienced. its the sound my soul want to burst out singing! if god is real and I do have a destiny, it is to complete a Buckley song in full. I reckon Calling You s a good one!. but im just a year into jeff buckley and will explore his songs as much as you. ! keep up the sound of a muse Ray

  • The drummer is the man!

  • ok anyone who does not understand that he would have been the biggest thing in music if he wouldnt have died needs to have their ears fucking removed!!

  • i had a dream about him last night.. . FUK YEAH BABY. i pray for more tonight. this man will make my voice notice

  • He's like an acoustic Led Zeppelin!

  • From 2:24 - 2:39, I mean, he is LITERALLY pouring out emotion!

  • Probably in my top 5 videos on youtube. And Happy Birthday Jeff!

  • Happy Birthday Jeff....

  • I just want my voice to be half as good as jeff's. Fuck!

  • so real is the sex!

  • At the 2:26 mark in this song it sounds like the 5:35 mark of stairway to heaven should cut in. awesome

  • Perfect. I wonder what year this was made - anyone know?

  • @Talulah6 2011

  • According to these comments, everybody that likes Jeff Buckley is apparently 13 years old?

  • He was an incredible talent..we lost him much too soon! :(

  • He is a big part of my life and I'm thankful to my girlfriend for introducing me to his music! awesomest!

  • This Guy has led me through my life, the lows and highs, in my eyes he is up there with led zeppelin and beatles i wish i could have met him but his life ended 8 days after mine started, personally i feel blessed to have lived in the same world as him, my friends think i am obsessed but he is perfect to me in every single way <3

  • @BigGreenHedgehog you said it brother, i feel the same way, this man was extremely pure, and that was easily heard in his music. he spoke of love and gracefulness, he maybe ``gone`` so to speak, but we will always have his music.

    love is all, share it.

  • Damn, what an artist.

  • @123MathiasF and it's sad that your compelled to comment about it

  • @123MathiasF dude shut the fuck up, ok.

  • I love this stuff...his voice is just unreal..his feeling...he always has given me goose bumps to listen to him.....R.I.P. Jeff....

  • @ghostslive unreal, or SO REAL?

  • I AM IN LOVE.

  • jeff buckley was a genius.. if you like his music have a listen to behind the clouds by lucid

  • "cause there's no time for hatred, only questions"

  • The haters are just immature. It's not their fault, they're just new to the planet, that's all. Jeff was tapped into something so visceral it was almost unbelievable. His life and music was and always will be pure grace.

  • The bassist looks bored.

  • @JaclynTaargus He looks like Billy Corgan.

  • @weezerman2002 huh?! lol! really? we clearly have seen different billy corgan pics! :P

  • @JaclynTaargus "this bassist" is Mick Grondahl. and i don't think he looked bored to be in an acoustic environment. phenomenal performance by all.

  • ok I have to say that...I think he looks a lot like James Franco..I dont know why..it must be the hair or something. :S :P

Anyway ..love your music Jeff..absolutely love it.

  • @abeatle100 I mean loved ..and still love it..

  • Hot damn, this is what i am talking about

  • i hope my neighbours like this song as much as i do..

  • The Music industry needs more musicians like Jeff Buckley

  • I will never stop loving this man. Incredible performer. Beautiful soul. <3

  • I love the man inside that fantastic fur coat.

  • this is so 90s :)

  • Stunning.

  • was he 27 when he died?

  • @deny22 30

  • @deny22 no he was 30.

  • Fake.

  • It's hard to believe that Jeff has been gone 14 years! His music, especially that incredible voice, does indeed live on!

  • i am in love with it...all these years later

he hits a certain note in his voice and my whole body reacts.

  • an amazing artist and person

  • Ahh, to be talked down to by somebody named 'POOPOOSOLDIER'

  • simply... GENIUS!!!

  • God it still really hurts to watch this. That sinking feeling all over again.

  • I miss you, Jeff Buckley. I miss you a lot, a lot. <3

Thanks for posting this. It's "one" of my favourite performances.

  • Beatles influence here?

  • Imagine what music he could have made all these years. What a tragic loss!

  • anyone out there know how to play this?

  • Oh, dear lord. What a voice!

  • the cry of a tormented soul.

  • Comment removed

  • Tim who, lol? No disrespect.

  • dat falsetto

  • Vous espérez quelque chose des " kom " de Youtube vous ??

  • man did this guy have lungs on him

  • there's more grunge in this music than rock in today's modern rock music.

  • Perfect! ♥

  • you are not alone im 12 and just a month away from 13. its cool yo:D

  • If Jeff didnt dismis his band (?), he would not of been alone. How did that happen?

  • Why is Dwight Schrute playing bass?

  • It's hard to see or hear Jeff taking a breathe between notes, and it's not like they're easy notes either lol.

  • When I hear this I feel both tense and relaxed, I feel calm and angst, it fills my soul with both happiness and sadness, he is a truly a remarkable being, and always will be.

  • voice of an angel .. just like his father .. so thankful for the beautiful heartfelt music before their untimely death .. RIP .. xx

  • cool voice is the best lyric

  • OOOH MYYYY <3

  • STILL possibly my favourite 10 mins on youtube...................

  • lucky drummer ,,sittin there watching intently at a master,,,looks like the drummer knew he would be an all time great

  • I had a dream about Jeff last night.. even though it was a dream he was the most real person I've ever met.

  • @twillfast thats deep.

  • @twillfast OMG I dreamt about him once too. Even though it was a dream he was one of the most genuine people I've ever met, in a dream, that is.

  • "I couldn't awake from the nightmare that sucked me in and pulled me under" I can't listen to this song without thinking about Jeff's untimely death, and how prescient that lyric was... The world was robbed of some amazing music. What a shame. We love you Jeff..

  • omg! this dudes capacity to hold notes is amazing!

  • oh look--someone who can really sing, play instruments, and isn't using half naked women to promote his music! imagine that!

  • my heart melts every time I watch this video. so beautiful

  • if you can't see the beauty in this music. you got much to learn.

  • Got to see jeff live twice in Manchester in 1994 & 1995, Amazing is an understatement, just wish mobile technology had been around then so people could have gotten a real taste of what a genius and how humble the man was. This is my Last Goodbye...

  • @WhaGoSon That's amazing, what venue/s?

  • @OptikC Manchester Academy 3 Then 2, Just wish I could Show You How Great the Shows Were.

  • goddamn why aren't people who post these fantastic videos of legendary artists smart enough to disable comments so all the lameass headcases can't post their negative comments about musicians that they could only ever hope to be like! there should be a clause here that makes them post their music for all of us to critique! oh yeah that's right most of them don't make music! jerkoffs!

  • He sounds so sweet when he says « so real » *-*

  • <3

  • my top 5-

    1-Grace

    2-last goodbye

    3-So Real

    4-Morning Theft

    5-Hallelujah

  • @ntshgpt92 Great list... Morning Theft is SOO good.

  • acoustic, electric, no matter

  • 4:00 holy shit!!!

  • I must admit, I only began listening to Jeff a few months ago, but I am blown away by his talent. It's a shame that somebody so incredibly gifted had to be taken at such a young age. There's not one song he does that doesn't give me chills and take my breath away. His voice is so haunting. His riffs are insane. Ugh. Literally my favorite artist.

  • @Jellostix09 I so agree with you!

  • wow.

  • jeff was the best...

  • "I love you... but I am afraid...to love...you". Beautiful.

  • Why this video have a deslike button????

  • Jeff Buckley - Genius and Legend. What a terrible tragic loss.

  • That is talent

  • I'm 13 and am sad that I'm the only kid my age that I know that knows who he is, I am ashamed.

  • @RISEup1997 im 13 too and the most oof the music today sux

  • @RISEup1997 I knew Jeff Buckley at 13 too. I'm 16 now and I still LOVE AS HELL his music ! Too sad we're not born in the 70's ! I could have seen him live :(

  • @RISEup1997 oh yeah im 10! and i am the same!

  • @RISEup1997 i'm 16... and me too...

i've been forcing my friends to listen to him :-P

  • @0LittlemissLola shouldnt have to force them. if they have to be forced there not good enough to listen to jb

    ;]

  • @mafdog6 true, though, my mom, now, is as addicted to his music as i am :D

  • @RISEup1997 ...dont be sad.be happy and grateful that you do know his work...believe me darling u r not alone, none of us are.

..knowing that someone like u at 13 can hear him is amazing..

U have an opportunity to share this with your age group and u will find those that will feel the same thing u are feeling when u hear his voice...and those that cant hear,u don't even need them around.

My son is 13 and i will introduce this to him...as i am just discovering JB my self ;))

    All in its time dear..

  • @RISEup1997 ..ps: I love the name you using..check a song by Muse called Uprising.

  • @RISEup1997 Don't be ashamed, educate! :)

  • @RISEup1997

Age means nothing. I was listening to Buckley when I was 13 but if it wasnt for the fact that I was introduced to him by my sister I might not have known who he was. Maybe you should introduce some of your friends to him.

  • @RISEup1997 Spread the word, my friend! BTW, which are your favorite Jeff Buckley songs?

  • @RISEup1997 I'm sad that you feel compelled to tell your age on a youtube video because it makes you feel special

  • @123MathiasF Don't be a buzz kill.

  • @HelenaNV It's not my fault some little shit thinks he's special and unique. If you want to encourage that type of belief then go ahead stupid bitch

  • @123MathiasF What the fuck? You don't even know the kid. Plus, what is horrible about it? Does it affect you in any way? Why the need to be so hateful? I can't believe you're even serious. Pathetic. xD

  • @123MathiasF

Wow man chill this is jeff buckley, no hate ok?

If you want to talk like that go somewhere else i'm here to enjoy the music without looking at comments such as "stupid bitch" . Thanks.

  • @RISEup1997 At least you discover him early. I didn't discover him til I was 17 and now I am 23. I bought his Grace album like 5 to 6 months ago and don't know what have I been missing.

  • @RISEup1997 i'm 14, and at your age I already knew jeff.. be happy :)

  • @RISEup1997 You shouldnt be ashamed; they should be ;)

  • @RISEup1997 but do you know about his father tim buckley. He was amazing too.

  • @RISEup1997

    Tell me about it!

im 7 and i love him

  • @taylorhowell999 I'm so glad to year kids are getting into his stuff. If you're loving Jeff, you're off to a *very* good start. :D

  • @napalmnacey

im not really 7..i was just showing how every legendary musician or band has a "12 year old" as the top comment ..when really they just want some attention..what i should of said was..

"I've just been born 3 hours ago and i like Jeff Buckley and have his entire disography"

  • The early 1990's saw the very, very end of true tortured genius performers. I don't have to mention names, though one obvious grunge-based one springs into most people's minds - but can anyone seriously say they know an act today that performs or sings as though it is their own soul that is screaming through them like they are a vessel? No. Thank you, Simon Cowell and manufactured music.

  • @FatBlackFrancis Simon cowell is not stopping any talent from evolving is he? If anything he is raising the profile of the music industry and getting people into the super market buying CD's and contributing rather than downloading illegal music. Its just luck their is no truly great new bands out their at the moment; he is a scapegoat for indy wankers as its cool to bash mr evli simon cowell, and lets face it - a tv show should does not shape music all together.

  • @FatBlackFrancis

Are you referring to Layne Staley and Chris Cornell? :)

  • @Rafzorz1 Dude, Chris Cornell isn't dead. And I'm pretty sure they were referring to Curt Kobain, whose death, however tragic, seemed to really overshadow many others, like Jeff Buckley's.

  • @Jellostix09

I never said Chris Cornell is dead, did I? :)

I was just saying most people would think of Cobain...

Guess FatBlackFrancis was right and names shouldn't have been mention... sorry about that

  • @FatBlackFrancis yes people do still preform like that, just doesnt need to be the kind of music your refering to, how about Bon Iver or Tallest Man On earth? search them

  • Just a thought a word from him. now we wonder why we smell of flesh, we need to be air and better than before. sorry we lost ya but love your stand! you will be remembered

  • Ow my god....Jeff...you are goddes

  • anybody know what kind of guitar he's playing?

  • @Thesamevan I believe it's a Gibson Robert Johnson edition acoustic. As of the year, I couldn't tell you sir. But they are very nice instruments, very difficult to find.

  • tired of all these generic comments about the number of dislikes.. stereotypical jokes on popculture, justin bieber.. james franco and shit.. fuck just enjoy the song.. oh and.. dear youtube.. I've noticed this video has a like/dislike bar.. I want it promptly removed due to all the gay debauchary surrounding it

  • @POOPOOSOLDIER Most wholeheartedly agree.

  • @POOPOOSOLDIER How about they just remove the dislike option?

  • @POOPOOSOLDIER what's gay about those stupid generic comments. im totally with you before you get to that part

  • @POOPOOSOLDIER - oh, the irony...

  • @altimita lol true

  • @POOPOOSOLDIER I agree. well all except for the last part. What's wrong with gay debauchery??

  • His voice alone was an innstrument..not many people have that! This man has gotten me through the hardest of times just with his voice and lyrics. He is truly my angel!

  • @Wendellerins Well put!! His voice is a constant inspiration to me and I love his incredible lyrics!

  • @Wendellerins Well put!! His voice is a constant inspiration to me and I love his incredible lyrics!

  • The last standing hero in music.

  • @thekillers1293 Unfortunately, he isn't standing anymore.

  • @thekillers1293

been dead for awhile my friend, drowned in a river, rumor was he was on acid, but his toxicology report was clean, i have personally seen it.

  • @thekillers1293 He is no longer alive, but Chris Cornell is definitely a hero in music. In some ways Steven Wilson, and Thom Yorke are too. There are actually quite a lot of good artists, they are just very hard to find. Too bad Jeff couldn't have had a son, it seems the voice runs in the family, his father was amazing!

  • looks like james franco and emile hirsch jammin. they should make a movie

  • looks like james franco and emile hirsch jammin. they should make a movie

  • Hey Glee haters,I bet Jeff would be great in a wheelchair, depending on the intensity of realness of said chair.

  • I think my love of James Franco stems from my love of this man..

  • the problem was that this world wasnt ready for him.

  • @TheTyaptyap yes! and i always think that if he would've lived that we'd all be dead from DYING OF TOO MUCH AMAZINGNESS... serious.
