How to play Animal Crossing and not be addicted:

1. Reserve a small plot of land for yourself, say 1-4 acres large and create a border of patterns or easels to mark your territory. Don't care for the rest of the town, let the weeds grow and animals move.

2. Do not become attached to the animal townsfolk in any way, just ignore all of them. Except for the permanent ones. Those are there to stay.

3. Don't be a completionist. Try not to get town status 100% or any of that crazy shit.

I want to stop playing but I go to work and I work at this Asian Bistro and all throughout the day, all I could think about was how much business we would need in order to expand and what the exchange rate would be from bells to US dollars. Oh my word! You've made me laugh so hard my sides hurt! I play this game every day, yep, every day of the world. My town is weed-free, my fossils are usually dug and my little animals adore me! And earning bells is easy cheesy! My little character earned over 100,000 today just from fishing, and that didn't include the tuna and fossil fish saved for Flea Market Day! I don't know whether I'm addicted or just plain sick. :D
