Has anyone bothered to report that authorities investigating the attempted bombing of Northwest flight 253 stated that two of the four leaders allegedly behind the al Qaeda plot to blow up the passenger jet over Detroit were released by the U.S. from the Guantanamo prison in November, 2007(according to American officials and Department of Defense documents). And that al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the Northwest bombing in a Monday statement that vowed more attacks on Americans.
Apparently, American officials agreed to send the two terrorists from Guantanamo to Saudi Arabia where they entered into an art therapy rehabilitation program and were set free, according to U.S. and Saudi officials. Guantanamo prisoner #333, Muhamad Attik al-Harbi, and prisoner #372, Said Ali Shari, were sent to Saudi Arabia on Nov. 9, 2007, according to the Defense Department log of detainees who were released from American custody. Al-Harbi has since changed his name to Muhamad al-Awfi.
Actually the best place for them is a graveyard. The world(including the Arab-Muslim world) is better off and would be much more peaceful without them.
No...the 2nd best place for them is an Arab or Egyptian prison where they would be tortured for real. Of all the prisons of this kind in the entire world Gitmo is the "countryclub" Nowhere else are Islamist terrorists treated more humanely and given as many privledges as at Gitmo.
I'm not blaming this on Bush...What gave you that idea? The fact is Bush merely aquiessed to the demands of the foreign press and the MSM in this country, as well as the liberals in the congress, not to mention the Supreme Court by releasing those terrorists. There was already sufficient data to presume the released detainees would return to the battlefield. Bush did the best he could under very difficult circumstances in this case. Obama's policies in this respect are a train-wreck...obviously.
