Lol at anybody who thinks a guy pulling 6 plates isn't doing accessory work for his grip. I don't think I could even hold onto the bar with that much weight.
@viator22 Some people just don't need to, I've pulled over 5.5 plates with no grip assistance and I know guys who pull 7 plates without doing assistance for grip.
I'm pretty sure that overhand is fingers facing toward you and underhand is fingers facing away... see the video, his right arm is over and left arm is under.
lets say your left hand is overhand and your right is underhand just for this example.
Your left hand is making the bar roll towards you and your right hand is making it roll in front of you, equalizing the rolling of the bar produces a steady bar, a nice strong grip.
thats awesome. This guy desnt looks too big but he is very very strong. I am big but deadlifting is a weakpoint in my training. Cant deadlift more then 170kg-s, but can benchpress 140, squat 180.
I do grip training on a seperate day and do an overhand grip for my warmup sets. For the heavy stuff, I use and inverted grip alternating in each set. See my phonebook rips for hand strength. I can crush the COC #2 if you know what that is. Working on the #3.

There seems to be a confusing on want inverted grip means..
Inverted / underhand - Fingers facing you
Mixed - One hand overhand (usually dominant hand) one hand underhand.
Overhand - Fingers facing away from you
Underhand is the weakest because the bar will roll, and puts a lot of strain on the bicep, and a bicep tear is almost guaranteed
Overhand is the second strongest because it involves a lot of the forearm
Mixed grip is the strongest because of physics

@DudeThatsSic
You should use palms facing you/ away from you, fingers makes it way more complicated than necessary.

most impressive...keep up...someday u won't be needing a inverted grip...

Just curious, why would you not use an inverted grip when deadlifting?

Inverted grip sort of reduces grip strength. It is best to use overhand grip for as long as you can.
