  • Dope

  • so classic

  • Daaaag! I forgot about that Haunted House record. Who remembers the actual record? It was bright, lime, green. That was way back in the day!

  • peace dana

  • I remeber back in the day we used to play "Nightmares" at house parties. This was a time when there wasn`t alot of rappers. You had L.L., Fatboys, Whodini, etc. So we palyed a blend of music along with rap like Joyce Sims, Kraftwerk, Man Parrish etc. Dana Dane was a breath of fresh air because he had a style of his own. Story-telling the accent (although not real) and he spoke of fashion. So he was definitely influential in rap.

  • Heyyyyyyyyyyy Dana Dane with fame!!!!

  • This is pure hip hop. I know Cinderfella and Nightmares line for line. You will not be able to say that even 5 years from now about any of the stuff they have out now.

  • this guy is very creative true hip hop love yah dana dane

  • aight im a young kat 18 and i give this man props real dope mc he put it down for hip hop..peace thanks !!!dana dane

  • Dana Dane with Fame. TRUE shit FOREVER!!!!

  • GO DANA DO YOUR THING!

  • If there was one track of his that would have been PERFECT for a video it's Cinderfella. It's a whole story with characters and a plot- when I listen to it, I can imagine the video in my mind. Would have loved to have seen it. Also, I have to give him credit. He's the first rapper from the mid 80's who DIDN'T gain 50 pounds.

  • back in the day me and my boys thought Dana Dane and Slick Rick were enemies but his story broke it down different. he was actually down with Slick Rick. cool shit. Cinderfella and Nightmares was my shits!!!!

  • they actually was part of a crew called the Kangol Crew look it up....True Skool 4eva

  • i like his older stuff from my brothers tape that i dubbed, and I have "Tales from the dane side" from 1991 on tape from WRKS FM.

    Another great story.

On a side note, i try not to hate on these new rapper but many don't have it to hold my interest. won't remember many later on.

  • that is hip hop

  • Ingenious path to a classic. Flipping the story Hitchcock/Stephen King style.

  • Still a classy cat.

  • Dana Dane is a true legend!! I hear he has a book coming out in 2009, should be good, since he is a storyteller in his rhymes.

  • I still have my Dana Dane With Fame lp!!!! you suckers!!!!!

  • DOPE !

Cindafella was a huge hit back in the days .

  • was that slick rick with the specs?

  • slick rick has on the classic cazal fames

  • what?

  • I love Dana Danes gold tooth. Dudes need to go back to just rockin the gold tooth instead of these lame ass grills!

  • I love Dana Dane!!! He still looks great, and he is so humble. Thanks for your impact Dane. I'll always remember you.

  • Ah, I had to think about some of things he was saying! Dana Dane and all the rappers from back in the day had stories to tell and they told them in song! Todays rappers just say anything that comes to their mind and think you are going to buy it! Old school rappers and rap like this will always rule! Peace to all real music lovers!

  • Dana Dane had alot of potential back then. The reason why I think he did'nt get the spotlight enough was due to him being over shadowed by cats like Big Daddy Kane,Slick Rick,BDP,MC Lyte, etc.

  • Never really liked Dana Dane:|

  • W 207 Street is Uptown/.The Heights... Not Riverdale.. Get it right..

  • i met dane b4 he was real cool i met him after a show he did in Columbus like 2 months ago

  • IT brings me back to that real new york feel. dana is dope.

  • i was in the 5th grade when nightmares came out and i still remember it verse for verse. rip real hip-hop. for real tho.
