Wow i really like that look for a red dress! Thanks so much for posting this, now i have something to base off for my formal next month! Btw i looove your ear piercings they look nice on you =D
So, my dress is red for prom and I really like this look for make up cause its good for blue eyes as well. The only thing is, how much did this make up cost and where would you suggest to get the make up?
@coveya2 These colors are pretty generic, I think you could find them in any neutral palette in the drugstore. I know wet and wild makes some nice palettes that have good color payoff. I believe the colors I used were from the 88 palette, which I ordered from coastal scents.
Do you know any other makeup palettes that are similar to this (like maybe some Ulta would sell)? Homecoming is on Saturday for me but if you don't know, do you know what type of eyeshadow to look for?
@haleyblavka2 It can be a little overkill with the red if you do red lips and a red dress. I would only do one or the other, but if you want to do both go ahead! It's not like there are any rules in makeup. :)
I like this look. I'm wearing an elegant black dress with a red ribbon across my waist and I was wondering how to do my face since the red has so much color on its own. This is perfect. Thanks a lot :)
Did you put mascara on your bottom lashes as well? I couldn't tell... I have my formal in a few weeks and I'm wearing a red dress and this look helped heaps :) so I'm going to use this one! Thanks... the only thing I'm unsure about is that i have really light blonde eyelashes so I'll definitely coat the top but not sure about the bottom? Should I just test it out myself?
@carrotstickks I typically only put mascara on my top lashes, but if you have very light lashes you would probably want to put a very light coat of mascara on the bottom just to darken them. There are lots of videos that show mascara application, but just for the bottom using the tip of the wand is usually easier.
awesome! i'm going to a christmas banquet at my school on friday and i am totally using this with my red dress.....for the lips should i wear a darker red because my dress is black and red, or a lighter red??
If you want to do red, I would personally go with a really true red but since I have no idea what you look like or your dress so I can't give a solid recommendation... if you want it to look like you're matching your dress try something close to that shade.
I am soooooo glad that I don't care about what people think. If I choose to match my makeup with my dress or do a nice neutral look like your [which looks great by the way], so be it. Just my two cents. Thanks for the tutorial.
does ds anywhere match a red dress make-up. i dint like this at al...

@TheAnnaboo Haha. Thanks! I actually seriously considered it a year or two ago, but I decided I would just stick with having holes in my ears. :)
