Hey dude, is this the liquid yellow paint job colour? ... And is it metallic etc?

Some of the yellow megane rs 250's on youtube look really washed out and horrible, this is much more vibrant and nice. Just trying to find out which particular yellow this is?

Thats the regular "Kyalami"-yellow. It's not metallic. So this should actually be the "washed-out" paintjob you're talking about.

The other yellow you refered to is "Sirius"-yellow, metallic and shown in most of the car-shows like IAA. I don't know about other countries, but for example in Germany it's not available (yet), but I heard of rumors that it might become available in the future.

@Abzug0386 Thanks for the quick reply. Im atm in the middle of buying this car here in the UK, although we only have a yellow called 'Liquid Yellow' - thats through the website. Although in the car dealership they have 2 different sample pieces to choose from, but you cant see them on the car and I dont want to get a yellow Im not pleased with. The yellow in THIS video of yours looks amazing and want to get the same colour but looks as if I cant in the UK. Some videos dont look that good.

I just took a look at the UK-Site auf Renault(sport). It's got the same colour possibilities as here in Germany, but with other names, the Kyalami-yellow in this video is called "Sport-Yellow" in UK. Thats the same, pretty washed out colour. Don't know what "Liquid Yellow" is though.... But I assure you, the yellow in my video is pretty unspectacular and washed out in real, just search google for Kyalami yellow megane and then for Sirius Yello as well. Big difference.

@Abzug0386 Ahh right thanks for clearing that up, would you suggest avoiding the "Sport Yellow" then? .. I had a google and there is a big difference, I could of sworn the Liquid Yellow was available on the 250 model in the UK, but it appears its only available on the 265 trophy edition after just checking the website again. Do you reckon the liquid yellow is the UK name for sirius yellow?

After taking a closer look to some british articles about the Trophy, it appears that "Liquid Yellow" is actually that "Sirius Yellow". So if you really wanna have that, you could either try to get a Megane Trophy or buy a standard Megane in a standard, 0 GBP colour and try to foil/paint it in the colour you want. Or consider to buy some totally different car, like Scirocco R, Leon Cupra R, used Focus RS, used Nissan 350Z or something like that :)

Also erstens mal: Ein Golf R sieht aus wie ein Golf. Mehr muss ich dazu wohl nicht sagen.

Zweitens: Der Golf R schlägt ihn nur knapp (bei 5000 bis 10000 EUR höherem Preis). Ein M3 schlägt den R um Längen. Also was willst du mir damit sagen....?

Well since I haven't heard the exhaust note of the Focus RS by myself in real-life, I can't judge about it. Maybe you didn't either, so you should try that in real life. But hey, wouldn't it be a pity if the 5-cylinder 2.5 litre engine of the Ford sounds worse than the 4-cylinder 2.0 litre engine of the Renault....?

@Abzug0386 Hello... i am currently in the market for a new car and i am eyeing up a Focus RS (not a green one!)... which i have test driven and enjoyed very much and the exhaust note on it is just brutal! :-)... i have just been told to check out the new megane RS 250 as its ment to be just as good as a drivers car and i really like it....

I think the dash in this new Megane Coupe is boring. WAAAYYYY too plain when you look at the cool clean modern styling of the outside. I got the new Fiesta last year and the interior is really nicely designed, matches the funky looks, Renault seemed to have given up? Come on, be daring like the outside.

You're right. In fact, not only the look of the inside is pretty bad. The soundsystem is 80's-style as well. The only things that are pretty cool in the inside are the R.S.-Monitor and the yellow rpm-meter. The VW-Group does a way better job on that.

Mini Cooper JCW: 0 - 100 6.5 s / 238 km/h

Megane RS: 0 - 1ßß 6.1 s / 245 km/h

Both cost almost the same. Mini Cooper is way smaller, but consumes less Fuel than the Megane (7.1 to 8.4 litres/km)

Couldn't try because of the traffic, but officially it's 245 km/h. Though I've heard it can do a bit more because of the power-spread (most Megane RS's actually have 260 to 270 PS).

Well since I'm from Germany, I can only speek for me: White, yellow and red without additional charge, black, blue, platinum grey and steel grey for 500 EUR extra.

You should check out "renault -dot- nl" and try the car-configurator.

I just told you about the colours. You should probably take the cup-package, xenon lights, the R.S.-Monitor instead of the navigation-system and if you wanna go hardcore, think about the recaro-sports-seats.
