I especially love the chorus of the first instrument solo, which has the melody of Daughter of Evil. It really emphasizes the fact that Rin remembers and regrets her evil acts before. The second is just too epic and awesome to be put into words.

@EnbitoMiruku And moreover, I forgot to say, the part where Len sings along is wonderful, as he sings with the melody from "Servant of Evil", while in "Servant of Evil - Classical version II", also by JounetsuP, Rin sings that phrase with the melody of "Regret Message". The melody swich place just like how Rin and Len switched places. It's beautiful and meaningful.

Probably because animating medieval dresses are quite hard. Just look at the RomeoXJuliet anime. Plus, "The Story of Evil" became a play in Japan. It ran for several weeks...or so I've heard. XP

@mabuharogirl To make story short, Rin was an evil princess and Len was her servant (although they're twins). One day Rin ordered Len to kill a girl (Miku) out of jealousy and resulted in peoples finally snap and revolt. Seeing no other way to save her, Len took Rin place while telling her to run while wearing his cloths (no one noticed the exchange because of their similar face) and he was executed in Rin's place. This song is basically showing how Rin regretting her past(about Ren especially)

I prefer the Mio version (did I spell that right?), the balled, then the original. I love the Mio version becuase the singers add a little voice dramas in there which makes it ten times more touching.

The balled makes it seem, to me, that she is really digging down to find the right words and they are coming slowly due to sorrow. A lot of drama packed into each verse.

Overall, the Story of Evil is just amazing and I do think they need to make a movie on it > .>

Well, though Mio has more emotion than the real song, there are some high notes where she failed to hit, and the fact that it went off just pisses me off, so sadly, I'm afraid her cover comes second to the original song.

This arrangement is, by far, the best one I've ever heard for this song. It is truly better than the original song. So, for me:

Ballad ver > Original > Mio
