  • @DAOW17

I sing along with the Music in the Onett stage of Super Smash Bros. Melee, which has each of those songs. -w-

  • God I wish I could speak Japanese so I could understand most of the wording in his vids

  • Whats up with the BGM? It sounds like somebody made it in Guitar Pro or used cheap midi

  • @pzburviantard cuz she is well shes a computer program

  • And Miku ruins another awesome song. Nice job.

  • @Scorpiondesu It may have only been 10 months, but im surprised your comment isn't blocked because of too many negative votes. don't hate on a song just because you hate the singer. If you know you don't like the singer, DON'T LISTEN TO THE SONG. i personally think this is a cute little song. And if you don't have anything nice to comment, THEN DON'T. offer constructive criticism, don't be a troll.

  • thx for putting jap subs cuz im Japanese and i cant read English ^^;

  • @ToonLinkMaster3000

  • Comment removed

  • i love this song!

  • This is... definitely the worst thing ever. The song? Fantastic. But why would you make a vocaloid sing it? Do you hate Earthbound or something?

  • i think it should be Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 X Mother/Earthbound

  • This song, isn't meant for lyrics.

  • 0:38

sounds like she saids "fairy tits"

    :P

  • @emmeg516

    And lucky Chaaarrms :P

  • This is so cute... too cute.... *brain explodes from cuteness*

    Jk, i love this!

  • Who is that and what does she have to do with mother?

  • Hahaha, I laughed. xD

  • Miku Sounds better with Japenese Music but this is actually good!

  • @daethman190 Have you ever listened to a real person sing?

  • She sounds like she is constipated...

  • I really want a vsq for this.

  • Miku sucks at singing in english because you have to modify japanese sounds to make her speak it. Extremely difficult, since the sounds have to be short as well.

  • Hum if you look at Mitsune's Breasts you will see a Nipple!! Am i WRONG?

  • I believe that's just the number tattooed on her ARM.

  • no she is a japenese vocaloid satiodono88

  • man, i had no idea that miku could sing in english. was she origianlly desinged like that?

  • Well Hatsune Miku is Japanese And English is actully Their Second Langauge So.....Celticgaurd747 see my point?

  • Hatsune Miku shouldn't sing in English. She's bad at it.

  • @Celticguardian747 Actually there are English Vocaloids, but they arent very popular

  • Sounded like MS sam

  • this was the first time i ever saw hatsune miku. i have a vid up with pollyanna come and see!

i will be more videos later on.

    plz visit my profile/channel/whatever

    (im new to youtube)

  • When Japanese people speak english they are soooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!! X3

  • at first i thought she was singing in japanese because i wasn't paying attention to her singing.

  • It's cos letter and sylable combos are pronounced differently in Japanese from English, Luka can sing English though, even if she does tend to skip the odd sound ^^

But yes, It can be a little hard to tell at first! ;)

  • Too good lol

  • this song allways puts a simle on my face, regardless of it's akwardness

  • ENGRISH FTW!!!!!!

    XD

  • This made my day.

  • this song is so awesome. i love it

  • good job

  • At my school, the eigth graders always have to sing one song at their graduation ceremony as their "goodbye".

Two years from now, I hope my class sings this song!~

Pollyanna is an inspiring song, and although the lyrics may seem simple, they are strangely astounding to me.

    I LOVE MOTHER/EARTHBOUND

    AND I LOVE THIS SONG : D

  • you're right! the simpleness of it makes it amazing!

    Mother/EB is epic win! ^^

hope that they agree on this song~

  • You go to a pretty fucking gay/awesome school

  • ...Thank you?

  • your school sounds amazing! xD

  • @ArtsyV Don't wait! Start turning kids onto "Pollyanna" NOW. Otherwise, expect to sing something fickle and mainstream for your goodbye song.

  • @ArtsyV I would sing We are Angels english, tho my grade 8 grad was a long time ago now!

  • @ArtsyV One year more!

  • @ArtsyV If this comment was posted a year ago, I bet you're in 7th grade right now.

Yeah, the lyrics are pretty good. Although it's too bad that no Mother games came out in America yet.

  • @cheeseball187 Then what was Earthbound / Mother 2?

  • @Lethalificationable sigh, some people make you want to facepalm.

  • Comment removed

  • @cheeseball187 the 2nt mother came out in the US and was called earthbound

  • @ArtsyV Did they? I hope for Joe's church to sing this as their "goodbye". (Or Eight Melodies!)

  • @ArtsyV

Some of them have deeper meanings.

    I love it too.

You could ask them to sing it for you. :3

  • @ArtsyV Did You're class sing this song?

  • @ArtsyV Dude, how's two years later? Did you graduate yet? I sure did!

  • @ArtsyV its been 2 years did u sing the song?

  • @ArtsyV so its now 2 years ago, did you sing it?

  • it sounds half japanese half english

  • vocaloids sing in japanese, so getting it to sound english is awkward, but it doesnt sound bad (not to me anyway)

  • It depends on the skill of the user. Most english sounds can be re-created using the right japanese sounds, but it's really hard to do, even if you know both languages perfectly.

One particular version of Phantom of the Opera using Miku and Gackpo is an excellent example. Also, Luka (a newer voice) can be used with english directly. A good example for her is "The never ending story".

Compare them to most other engrish songs and I think most people should be able to notice a difference!

  • for some reason this reminds me more of Mother 2/Earthbound than Mother/Earthbound 0

  • miku + mother2 = EPIC win :3

  • =D

    =D

  • It must be so challenging to make a Japanese Vocaloid sing in English. :[

  • You can call me utterly retarted for asking this, but who the hell is the blue haired girl?

  • I won't, but it is like in the pic. Miku Hatsune from Vocaloid program. Not anime.

  • i was just gunna comment saying that but u got there first lol

  • Did you use software for this voice? If they had children daleks that sang this is what they would sound like.

  • yes, this is software called "Vocaloid".

  • Gentlemen!

    BEHOLD!

A textbook example of bad vocaloid.

  • Well, it's made for the Japanese language so it just sounds kinda awkward transliterated into English.

  • is simply beautyfull

  • omg i just love this song. i dono why but mabye i should find some one with a free spirit like the person singingand show him or her the song so we could lol

  • sounds like glados

  • miku isnt really made to say english shes really ment for japanese, i wish they made a version just for english thats based off the original but just a bit repolished so we can understand it

  • Try Prima or Sweet Ann.

  • I think Prima's English sounds worse than Miku's. Maybe it's just the songs I've heard since I can't find many of her songs

  • You can also try Miriam for english.

  • Ahh, I don't really care for what language they're made to speak lol ^^

I just like hearing the voices and I think Prima probably has the best voice (of them all)...it's just her pronunciation.

Truthfully, I prefer listening to Japanese VOCALOIDS sing in English because they're pronunciation is just so cute ^o^

As long as I know what they're saying, that is lol ^^

  • Heh, it seems Miku need to take some English pronunciation classes =)

  • its a good song, but I wouldn't be able to understand it without the subtitles

  • ENGRISH

  • Like every version of this song.

    Including this one.

  • Aw, this song was already really cute...but with that voice singing it, it's almost unbearably cute. I wanna go hug a puppy now.

  • GO MIKU! GO MIKU GO!

  • The sky is often blue.

  • The sky is blue because god used the wrong hex code.

  • Wow, what a great song.

  • LOL! I'll just stick to the English track.

  • This song saved my life yesterday.

  • how?

  • Understandable.

  • umm... sure understandable (i guess) how?

  • Technically, the sky is blue because it's reflecting from the ocean.

That's what I remember my dad telling me.

  • I believe its the other way around.

  • Nope... Sky is blue because it scatters light in a high frequency, blue... It's red at sunset because it has a greater distance to travel to get to you, it disperses over more, and the frequency is lower, so it's red. Water is blue because it blocks a little red... So, really it's more cyan, but pollutants and fish and stuff in water can change its color, so you get green sections of ocean or sometimes even other colors.

  • I would send this to a person that misunderstood me.. but I don't know if she will feel the same way anymore... T_T

  • my first memorized nintendo song

  • But we didn't get Mother 1 until the ROM was released in 1998. I'm sure you have known at least the Mario Bros. theme before that.

  • is pollyanna suppose to be like runaway five: Ninten goes to it for no reason

  • I like this one better =P

  • The english version that is sung by an english person sounds much better.

  • Each to their own. Personally I have yet to hear a rendition of this classic that I like better than this one. Despite the lack of movement in this video (unless you count the lyrics), this deserves a 6...NO! 7 Stars!

  • I love this. Miku and MOTHER. Too cute.

  • Too cute!

  • the sky us blue, cuz i believe in you...

  • Comment removed

  • lol now thats just cute xD

  • Thats really good for Miku english wise.

  • そう驚くばかり! 英語の余りに悪い無し、多分甘いアンが付いているデュエットか。

SO AWESOME! No too bad in english, maybe a duet with sweet Ann? ~Yays for translators~

  • The best Miku song in english ever (also love the original).

  • more like engrish version lol

  • The Vocaloid program was made for Japanese lyris and stuff, so it doesn't pronounce English words as well as we're used to. Those are the original lyrics, with a bit of an accent.

  • this is pretty good though

  • English version?

The original is in english XD

  • There's a fan Japanese version going around.

  • Man, I've been trying to recreate this on Vocaloid 2, but I can't. It must take incredible skill to make these with Miku. :P

  • I love this song very much.

  • I love the song and her voice its cute

  • This the best ive seen miku sing in english ^_^

  • Pollyanna is okay, but I prefer Bein Friends.

    Awesome song.

  • who is that girl?

  • I know. Her voice sounds cute. :3

  • Her name is Hatsune Miku, a character from a singing synthesizer program called Vocaloid.

  • 初音ミク rules xD

  • Heehee..you can definitely tell Miku is made for Japanese, not English. It still sounds pretty nice. I wonder what the Japanese version translates to. (since it apparently has different lyrics, judging by the difference I've seen between the japanese of the two of them.)

  • It's the main map theme from the Famicom game "Mother" (the sequel to Mother was relased in the US as Earthbound). There was a soundtrack to Mother released in Japan with the music totally redone with English lyrics. This particular theme had these lyrics but were sung by a woman named Cathrine Warwick (I think). It sounded a LOT better than this version.

However; this version seems to take a more game accurate version and adds a strange robotic lyric thing to it which is interesting.

  • o.O; You need to shush.

  • wat is this ?
