yeah, i used to be really into this kinda dancing. tried it a couple of times (my friends taught me). i danced to this song. i still love the music and dancing. i just realized how much i sucked and stopped.

the people below dont seem to realise that even though its not the best dance ever atleast they have all tried and their timing is quite good. and as for keeping traditions alive if girls like them didnt dance half way across the world from India then there is no way the traditions would continue.

so well done guys it looks good, mistakes here and there but havent we all made those?

and they are not abusing the costumes, all the steps used more or less are bharatanatyam steps, so no abuse!

What's wrong with all of you? That's not abusing the costume at all. In fact, they are even using bharatnatyam mudras/steps...I don't see any disrespect in this. And this isn't a typical Bollywood film song (just because it was in a movie doesn't make it 'filmy'), it is a semi-classical song. Perfect choice of song, good choice of costume, wonderful dance.

I have no idea why these dancers are wearing Bharatanatyam costumes. I see no relevant relationship between the dance and the costume. They could have worn tutus instead!! They are presenting Filmi/Bollywood dance and really you don't need a Bharatanatyam costume to do that. Thank you for not calling it Bharatanatyam or classical dance anywhere on the posting.

good! i have a suggestion for u if ur gonna do this dance again...try changin the costum into something more simple n not traditional bharathanatyam...i guess ur choreography was more like semi-classical n the costum didnt suite for it...otherwise good job as a group..

I've seen this song done a dozen times at least, but yours has really nice choreography. I love the costumes, do you all train in Bharatanatyam? Once again, I feel the coordination could've been better, but overall it was really nice and classical :) That girl on the far left has a really beautiful smile.
