Once, I tried finishing the dragon with a non-anti dragon user (no dark magic, prf. weapons) , so I tried to kill him with Raven, who hit twos with a regal sword. Right before the hit that would have killed the dragon, it got a critical. That ticked me off.

Although once in FE: Path of Radiance I had Mia with the gambling ability and a killing edge. Her original crit was 50% and gambling doubled that which gave her 100% but she somehow attacked normally. Weird.
