I remember watching this on late night TV back in 1984 when I was in high school. Oh well, at least the camera angles kept us from seeing the TelePrompTer Greg Lake was using to read the lyrics.
This is Greg Lake the legend guys and gals....not just some guy.....This band plays way better without Wetton, much more freely and with lots of bravado...they seem stilted with Wetton...Now I love Wetton's voice in King Crimson and UK..Danger Money album...He is genius on the bass as well...His voice is more powerful than Lake, but Lake is more variable and he adds his own signature to this....To purists..this may be bunk....but I love that prog rock so much, I like this musical virtuoso....
Too bad Wetton wasn't there for this. The rest of the band's performing great, but I'm sorry, the replacement guy isn't as good as Wetton. It figures: some old videos of Asia and it's not the "real" line-up.
All the same, thank-you for sharing. It's neat to see the guys show some personality (since esp. Howe and Downes looked so solemn on the record sleeves).
The band revolves around Steve Howe (like other bands he plays with). His guitar playing is what makes the song great. I only listen to this dumb song because of Steve.
Wow Great tune, Great performance, thanks for posting this. Loved Asia so much in the 80s... this band introduced me to Steve Howe. THE KEY-TAR ROCKS!!!
I like Asia with Greg Lake

Great song. It's so strange that all the keyboards of the 80's are now buried. The Fairlight, the Yamaha DX, the PPG Wave, nobody now uses them.

にしても、初来日コンサートでフロントマン(おまけにリーダー)が変わってこれだけ違和感がないのは、この二人(レイク&ウェットン)ならではやろうな!w

@Smithfieldis- Only 1/4 of the original band is missing here. Greg Lake replaced John Wetton for a short time due to personal reasons.
