Blackstar HT-5 Combo

hab mir heute beim gitarrenhändler hier vor ort das top vom ht-5 angeschaut.

eins vorweg - eigentlich bin ich orange fan...aber der blackstar klingt einfach nur sau geil! richtig schöner vintage sound, knackiger overdrive und genug druck fürs studio oder kleine gigs. sogar im highgain macht er ne ganz gute figur!

wäre durchaus ne überlegung wert. preislich liegt das top um 400 - also im gleichen rahmen, wie z.b. der tiny terror von orange.

kommt drauf an, wo du ihn spielen willst. für zu hause ist das laut genug, im band kontext sollten es ein paar watt mehr sein =)

@707dude707 You're wrong. It isn't full tube. It uses solid state circuitry in the pre amp and then uses one valve to amplify the sound so it is not full tube. Thats why the clean tone is boxy. Its kinda ''hybrid'' some say.

@Krzysmalaki74 it's 3/4 tube and 1/4 diode. you have basically a hybrid preamp and a tube poweramp. but the diodes dont make a lot of difference in terms of sound, they just amplify the signal. sound is like 90% tube and 10% solid state.

@krajnovic10 Yup :) Well obviously it won't be so clean if you have the gain maxed out, but it's very dynamic to the volume knob or accented notes

i have this amp and the chrome on the knobs is alot shinny-er on mine (excuse the innuendo) this one must be laden with hand grease, they look fcukign filthy! :-p

@michaelgroenewald7 Well, I've only played the combo so far, so I can't really tell you.. But a combo is obviously easier to carry around. The head n cab has a bigger speaker in it (i think), a lil louder and somewhat different tone. you could always use your combo as a head and buy an extra cab. I'd say try them both in a guitarshop if you can.

besitze den amp seit heute und ich muss sagen...sahne, der klang kommt hier auf youtube nicht ganz so rüber wie er wirklich ist, viel voluminöser selbst bei kleiner lautstärke hoffe der erste eindruck bleibt mir so erhalten

If you don't believe that check out the 60 & 100 watt amps

they have out. I would buy a Bugera 1960 over any of this

stuff in a heart beat.

Ok you don't like this amp but dude.. overpriced? Not-even-that. Don't forget this is a practice amp and you propably can't find a better amp for practice. Bugeras are cool but they don't really sound THAT good. You get what you pay

Was würdet Ihr mir für den typischen AC/DC Sound empfehlen: den Blackstar HT-5 Combo oder den Marshall Class5??

I don't speak German, but I think i understand...

In my opinion, the Marsall Class 5 sounds shitty compared to their other great amps.

It's only one channel and no master volume, so you have to crank it (it's LOUD) to get distortion, if you don't use a pedal..

I'd say the blackstar for AC/DC tones.. if you don't wanna buy a 100 watt full stack :) good luck!

joa ist n ganz netter amp. aber klingt nicht ganz so offen wie mein voriger engl thunder 50. hängt aber vielleicht auch mit dem speaker zusammen. so für zuhause ist er aber schon gut geeignet und immer noch nen tick zu laut
