You can't help but love her. I'll never forget her. I watched her for over 30 years on Days Of Our Lives. I felt as if she was a part of my own family. Heaven got lucky when Frances entered the pearly gates. R.I.P.
Such a lovely woman...she will be greatly missed. I've watched Days for 24 years and the show just isn't the same without her. She reminds me so much of my Grandmother, it's incredible. RIP Frances/ Alice.
I just learned of Frances Reid's passing - while I was watching this. I'm devastated. Rest in peace, dear Frances. You were loved and you will be greatly missed.
All three parts have some funny and charming moments. A real treat for die hard Days fans. I can't believe I did not comment a year ago when i watched all three. A member of the Greatest Generation that grew up and came of age during the depression, helped create a union for actors and was acting during tv's infancy when it was live. Besides trying to document historical facts, this actually captures how charming and good-natured she is. But what I got from it was - I like this woman.
I love Frances Reid. She reminds me of my own grandmother who I lost 6 years ago. Frances Reid (Alice) always had the right advice for everybody...plus a good doughnut to go along with it. It's sad to see her nowdays in poorer health BUT she does excellent to be 94. I hope I am still able to hold my head up at 94 and here this woman is still remembering lines and scripts. WOW! If something should ever happen to Alice, Days Of Our Lives should just be cancelled..because Alice Horton IS Days
Frances Reid will be 94 in December. God Bless her and ATWT's Helen Wagner. They, along with Y&R's Jeanne Cooper and B&B's Susan Flannery are the true matriarchs of daytime.
This is my second time watching this video interview of Frances Reid from August 13, 2003. I truly have enjoyed watching her on Days of Our Lives all these years. I think it is great she has good health and longevity. I also enjoyed her work in The Andromeda Strain (1971) and Seconds (1966). I like this interview because she is in a great positive, pleasant mood. Frances Reid is an actress you never hear anything bad about. Hope to see her on Days this Thanksgiving or Christmas 2008.
