I love this song! The "River Dance" rhythm coupled with the beautiful melody is awesome...mean sax solo, too! Kudos also to Ashford & Simpson for composing such gorgeous music.

She is everything a real soul singer is about - none of the other soul ladies, having more chart success and media presence the she ever had, can hold a candle to her.
In every note she sings you can feel the depth of her soul. The soul of a person knowing pain, knowing what its like not being the prettiest girls, knowing how harsh a master addiction is. I could listen to her every minute of my life and never feel bored. Thanks for posting.

Her hair maybe longer now, she says it grows so fast. She wears a lot of short wigs now. Most recent was Memorial Day concert she wore her hair.

Though the music was beautiful and sophisticated, it was a more innocent time. No "wardrobe malfunctions", racy comments, etc. But thanks for viewing and commenting.

When this song was released, disco was in full swing. Many of the classic soul singers were somewhat neglected. But it is a great song.
