Too bad! His hold on this song expired and the writer sold it to a Canadian boy band. They've already recorded and released it. Didn't take them long.

If you really think that was Clay's choice, then you need to let go of some of that naivete.

The Nashville album was submitted. You don't just all of a sudden, in one night, go from wanting Hot AC/Top 40 play with an original album to an album full of cover love songs.

Fortunately, there are plenty (and I mean PLENTY!) of radio hits on the market, and Clay will get his share. His time is coming. I wouldn't even be surprised if he wrote a few of his own.
