What a genius of a song writer but was he ever a great singer????? Loved Why Me Lord and Bobby Mcgee when recorded in the studio but the technicians could make it sound good. Enjoyed his duets with Rita, she also made him sound better than when he sang by himself. For me his real strength was his writing, when he wrote it and Waylon sang it, it was dynamite, pure magic.
