I personally wish the tragedy that was the civilian response to Vietnam hadnt happened, i think there would be a lot more respect for servicemen if it hadnt, and respect is exactly what every man in uniform deserves!

The biggest tragedy of vietnam was the massacre that happened after we pulled out (as Ted Kennedy wanted) and which was ignored in large part by the bleeding heart hypocrite liberals who whine about every death in Africa they can find

No, I haven't gone into combat yet, I'm a Marine Corps poolee waiting for my spot in BRC to open up so i can ship out to boot camp, and I WANT to go to Iraq or Afghanistan.
The thing is, the insurgents USED to have the citizens on their side, but then the Anbar Awakening (thanks to a proto-type of Petraeus' strategy carried out by the Marines in Anbar province) happened, and the citizens are now turning in those insurgents
