I read a response to this video that said "Ron Paul is pro-life and lost my vote". This is sad that a sensible plea for the value of life is automatically converted into a anti-abortion political position. I've listened thoughtfully to the other GOP candidates and they just tell you what to believe. When people disagree with Dr. Paul's positions, it is different than just not liking him, he makes you think and this is what campaigning is all about! He needs our support. Ron Paul 2012:)
A flight surgeon in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, Dr. Ron Paul delivered in a civilian capacity, more than 4,000 babies before entering politics in 1976. This past week, the number of U.S. casualties in Afghanistan under President Obama's administration surpassed 1,000, bringing the total to 1,657. At this rate, our President will have put more lives in harm's way by the end of his term, than what the good doctor has saved or brought into this world during his lifetime.
RON PAUL, LETS SAY WE BRING ALL TROOPS HOME AND BECOME A PUSSY COUNTRY AND LET CHINA TELL US WHAT TO DO, TELL ME HOW ARE YOU GOING TO CREATE JOBS IF POPULATION OF CHINA IS 1.4 B? CHINESE WORK LIKE ROBOTS, AMERICANS WILL NEVER WORK LIKE ANTS, NOW TELL ME HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU GOING TO CREATE JOBS? SHAME ON YOU ! YOU JUST WANNA SELL UR BOOK AND U LIE TO AMERICAN PEOPLE ABOUT JOBS! AMERICAN PEOPLE WAKE UP , ROBOTS WILL REPLACE US , LEARN COMPUTERS! HOW CONSTITUTION CAN CREATE JOBS? SHAME ON YOU!
The simple fact folks is that people who believe that this nation was not founded under God is ignorant. LOL They do not want it to be true because they hate God and love their sin. That's the facts. I would say that USA is not blessed by God anymore,. This nation is wicked and i fear what God will do to it when his patience has run out.
I am not afraid of a terrorist taken my freedom throughout history most people lost their freedom by a police state police are armed & retarded they will do exactly as they're told they always persecuted and crucified people they are the same type of people that crucified Jesus Christ and they enjoyed it and they robbed him of his clothing as he was dying just like the police we have today the police love hurting and killing people they are the enemy of the people and always will be
If you don't like the U.S. Constitution or God. You have the free will to leave and live in France or China. God's wrath will be upon us if we continue to allow sin and wickedness to be supported by our Gov.
"Cursed be all that learning that is contrary to the cross of Christ." James Madison 4th U.S. President.
@stonewall97 "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion," -Treaty of Tripoli 1797. Unanimously ratified by the U.S. Senate.
"Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law." -Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814
3rd President, writer of the Declaration of Independence.
@cwbyfan223 Yes, in Jeffersons OPINION. There is a great deal of evidence that the founding fathers founded this nation UNDER GOD.
"While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian." George Washington.
@stonewall97 Of course most of the founding fathers were Christian's, but does that really matter? If it had been predominantly Saudi Arabians and not English who founded the U.S. you would be claiming it was our duty as patriots to serve Allah. Once again I shall reference the Treaty of Tripoli, which was UNANIMOUSLY ratified by the "founding fathers". If Christianity was behind common law, slavery, rape, genocide, and the stoning of bad children, drunk's, and glutton's would all be legal.
@cwbyfan223 "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religion but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We shall not fight alone. God presides over the destinies of nations." - Patrick Henry
@dododunfer Neither is true.Children are very expensive there for if the MAN doesn't take responsibility for a life he helped create a woman in fear of not being able to take care of the child may want to abort. I realize Obama thinks he is a king but the president CAN'T over rule the supreme court.
When have you ever seen Ron Paul speak from a teleprompter? NEVER! Even when other candidates speak at small events like this they either speak from paper or glass screens. Ron Paul speaks from his mind and heart. Vote for this man in 2012.
@dododunfer A President doesn't have the power to outlaw anything. Ron Paul is a constitutionalist. He's running strongly against that type of abuse of executive power. His position is that abortion laws should be left to the states as the constitution establishes no such authority to the federal government. His personal beliefs about abortion would have little relevance during a Paul Presidency. His main focus would be ending our senseless militarism and returning sound money to the people.
@BudWithBeats76 I agree. He may be against abortion in his own morals, but he advocates State's Rights and wants to leave it in their hands. There are some instances when abortion is warranted - rape, for one. We have to vote for someone who would let the Constitution rule him, not the other way around.
Without respecting human life at a fundamental level you can't pretend to defend liberty. When we start drawing lines in the sand, we'll soon start turning our neighbors into cheeseburgers.
Without respecting human life at a fundamental level we are screwed. Without even the good intentions of environmentalism turns into population reduction and those serving the greater good start plotting your starvation and misery.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
RON PAUL IS GOING TO BE PROSECUTED BY UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! ITS UNCONSTITUTIONAL TO CALL AMERICAN PEOPLE INVADERS AND INITIATERS OF WARS.
RON PAUL SAID THE USA INVADES COUNTRIES AND STARTS WARS, WHICH GIVES USA A BAD REPUTATION AROUND THE WORLD , THEREFORE IT IS CONSIDERED A CRIME . A US CITIZEN WHO
WAS BORN IN USA CANT GO AGAINST GOVERNMENT POLICIES WHICH MIGHT TREATEN THE FUTURE
@democratsaresmart Actually, the founders established the first amendment so that we could freely criticize our government. Only mindless slaves think we must blindly obey the elites and their military industrial complex. Don't worry. Even though you don't understand it or don't care for it, we'll continue to fight for your liberty and the liberty of all individuals.
Also, WE DO INVADE COUNTRIES AND START WARS. It's our government's policies that are threatening our future.
Could you please edit the title to include Ron Paul at Faith & Freedom Coalition?? ALL THE OTHER CANDIDATES VIDEOS HAVE THIS...it makes it difficult to search for him there. I HOPE you didn't do this intentionally....just sayin'
I was waiting for Dr. Paul to fully explain his views on abortion insofar as government intervention is concerned. He has said on many occasions that government does not belong in the abortion issue at all, either as advocate or as prohibitor. I heard him clearly articulate his personal view of abortion and listened intently for him to state his political principles regarding the matter. It did not occur. I can only conclude that he was tailoring his remarks after considering his audience.
@jeffersonianideal Strange, I heard him on several interviews what he clearly believes on abortion. He personally says abortion is wrong, but the states have the right to make it legal or not. The federal government has no place to say whether abortion should be legal or not. It's all consistent with the philosophy of the constitution.
@alexamasan I recall Ron Paul on a number of occasions taking Harry Browne's approach to abortion. If you ever find the video clip, please direct it my way. When Dr. Paul was being intervied by Lew Rockwell a few days ago, he said something curious which was, "my beliefs will be a little bit different”, referring to this particular faith based event he would be speaking at. The interview is on Youtube. In this video, Ron Paul sounds more like Judge Napolitano insofar as abortion is concerned.
@jeffersonianideal What I personally got from that statement on Lew Rockwell was that because the audience has a more religious background, he will need to talk about government his biblical views rather than his libertarian views. I doubt he actually meant that he's changing his views when he talks to particular audiences. Also, abortion wasn't even mentioned in the interview, so I would be careful trying to relate statements in that to abortion.
@alexamasan I appreciate your comment. Let's hope Dr. Paul stays consistent as that type of political regularity remains a main pillar of libertarianism. For the record, I never implied that Dr. Paul said anything specifically on the topic of abortion in his radio interview with Lew Rockwell. Dr. Paul addresses the abortion issue however, within this specific video clip from the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference.
@jeffersonianideal Oh sorry, I forgot. If I just type in "Ron Paul Abortion" on Youtube, the very first two results I get have Ron Paul explaining his views on abortion and what government should do about it. Are you sure you had a hard time finding him explain his views? The first one he's in a dark room with people asking him questions and the second one was him on The View.
@alexamasan Thank you. I have viewed the video clips. That is the Ron Paul I am used to hearing. While I disagree with the good Doctor that life begins at conception, I do agree the Federal Government should stay out of the abortion issue altogether. Also, it is time to cease the use of the euphemism, "right to life" and replace it with the correct term, "right to birth". The vast majority of the lifer movement could care less about the life of an infant once the umbilical cord is severed.
At 13:50 min: “We need to believe once again in the principles of liberty. We need to understand why the family is the bedrock. The educational system should be through the family and the church. We should be promoting homeschooling and private schooling and not depending on our public school system!”
If you haven't already, please donate to Ron Paul's MONEY BOMB TODAY - RIGHT NOW. Go to RonPaul2012(dot)com and give what you can....please, and thanks.
I agree with everything RP is saying here except for his views on abortion and faith-based education; but I am pleased that he doesn't desire to push his views on me.
My own view on abortion is that potential/peri-natal life is not as important as the woman being asked to give up her time, money, and body to house that life. Property rights do not get taken away just because a person has a lapse in judgment, so an accidental pregnancy should not abrogate a woman's right to choose to keep it.
@milesbennettdyson The woman should have thought about her time, money and body before she spread her legs. If I have a toddler that I no longer want to house and feed, would it be okay with you for me to murder it? Yeah, it's that ridiculous of an argument.
@boredomstryks Pregnancy can happen in a number of ways entirely without a woman's consent (birth control failure, rape, consensual sex play without penetration, etc.), so blaming the woman doesn't solve the issue. If property rights are to be upheld, then first and foremost among those property rights are the rights of the individual to decide what to do with his or her own body. That does not extend to other people and their bodies (like toddlers), but it does cover hosting fetuses in utero.
@BrentJ277 A lot of pseudo-conservatives don't like RP, mainly because he doesn't shut up and fall in line whenever a big issue comes up. It's a weird thing when true moral backbone is a rebellious position to take, isn't it?
"Sock puppet" is defined as "the act of creating a fake online identity to praise, defend or create the illusion of support for one's self, allies, company, or G+vernment." Our G+verment pays a company to manipulate our social media. Paid by the American People.
It's official! The housing bust is now bigger than during the great depression but don't worry folks, according to the government we are on a recovery!!
10% own 90% of US wealth..400 people control 65% of US wealth. put simply if you have ten people and ten cents; one of them gets nine cents and the others get to greatfully share a penny. ron paul wants to see that they become even more wealthy. stealing from your neighbors? i would imagine your mom and dad never accepted social security..everyone wants to cut someone elses benifits other than their own. we have government of by and for the rich.. i beleive class warfare exist. vote egalitarian.
I'd rather hear Ron Paul talk plainly about liberty than listen to George W. FumbleSpeech or Obama's Elitist Academic-talk about us being subservient to the state.
I appreciate what Ron Paul's policies are. I only object to the pro life stance in that he ignored the occurrence of ectopic pregnancies. An ectopic pregnancy makes an abortion necessary.
An ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion(and it's not medically termed one either) because the child is not developed and will not develop outside the mothers womb and also could kill the mother.
@EDTHEWATERGUY What you said doesn't make sense. I did not say that an ectopic pregnancy was "an abortion". (facepalm)
It's is a conception where the zygote is embedded in the fallopian tube. It cannot grow without rupturing the fallopian tube. If a zygote was carried to term in a fallopian tube there's a high probability both mother and child would die.
@mynameis677 I want to make it clear that I am not attacking you personally. I am sure ron Paul has an opinion on ecotpic pregnancies. I just haven't heard it yet.
@EDTHEWATERGUY you should read his abortion chapter in his book..... its actually very very reasonable.... and comes from not only personal belief's but he puts a wonderful argument ..to what it actually is. and isn't against the day after pill
We need a war on sex. The only sex we should get should be at the hands of the TSA! Think of all the high paying government jobs it would create. It would be even more productive than the war against the muslim countries. What's this Ron Paul got to say on that? I mean, no sex, no babies no soldiers no abortions no carbon dioxide no nothing. Brave new world baby!
The Only thing USA Manufactures is Weapons, WMD's, War Propaganda, Hate Propaganda, War Video Games, Lies, Fear, False Wars, Caskets, Neocons, Criminals, Bribery, False Flags, Financial Casinos, & Parasites going around destroying ALL OF HUMANITY.
AMERICA IS A PERMANENT WAR ECONOMY.
en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Permanent_war_economy
Both Parties (Dems & GOP) worship Fascism, Money & Corporatism, they contain only Neocons/Zionists, they're controlled by War Industry, Bankers, Fed Reserve, AIPAC & CFR.
It's time we REALLY show the establishment what these ideas can do.... and once the election really starts to take flight it will be clear that ron paul supporters dominate the airwaves and the grassroots rallies.
@supercomputer12 It not Republicans vs Democrats. As has been said - "There's not a dime's difference between them". Look at O-Bomb-ya. Where's the change? He turns out to be Bush in blackface. The one political issue that underlies them all is - Freedom vs Slavery. Ron Paul stands out as the main political leader firmly on the side of Freedom. All others - of all parties - will expand government power, which reduces your freedom and makes you a slave to the extent they crush freedom.
@Mosier2 the change? how about passing the healthcare law, killing DADT, reforming student loans, among many smaller things. he did not campaign on completely ending all our wars. he said he'd shift troops out of iraq and into afghanistan, and that's exactly what he did. he's a little more hawkish than most of us would like, but at least you can't call him a liar.
@supercomputer12 Bush pushed through the Medical Prescription. Obama pushed through Healthcare. Both are anti-freedom and contribute to US bankruptcy. Obama's "a little more Hawkish"? What an understatement. More drones murdering Pakistani peasants. Libya anyone? He continues the civil liberties crushing extension of the mis-named Patriot Act. He keeps Bradley Manning in vile conditions for exposing US murder of civilians. He claims the power to assassinate US citizens. The list goes on.
@djerwulfe not telling you all of this to sound as if I am going off on ya. Just explaining that there is always someone out there that has or at least TRIES to live his researching part of his life in some kind of BALANCE. I bid you pleasant researching and hope your hardships are only as long as they absolutely must be and no longer.
@djerwulfe IS that interesting enough for ya? I'm not telling ya that you SHOULD believe a quote " savior" of mankind's sins was born from a virgin and he died and came back to life and blah blah. However, " treat people like you want to be treated aka " do unto others as you would have them do unto you" MAKES WAY too much sense to be incorrect. Thus there is NOTHING wrong with believing SOME of the bible within reason. THAT I try to respect about other's views as much as possible.
@djerwulfe now JUST b cuz what i said earlier helpls ( in addition to the dumbass " we gota brotha in da white house" voting choices of most black people in american november 4 2008) POSSIBILITY that humans evolved from apes or monkeys..DOESN'T mean it is true. MOST human beings in america dont go around air humping and bragging about their $50k rims on their 30k escalade, their big pimpin cuttin da cheese, & robbing and kill people for crack money like in jackson ms. lay off the sci fi mags
@djerwulfe hey i tell ya what...if ya want some form of verbal catering-ship to your " evolution" ( which im guessing you're referring to how humans have evolved" visit jackson ms, atlanta, ga, chicago IL, detroit Michigan and for the kicker...visit MOST of africa. you'll go from watching a bunch air humping monkeys that rob and steal..to a buch of mostly dark skinned blacks who's MAJORITY PRIMARY PURPOSE BY CHOICE is the blood diamond and merc wars against the innocent. That'll help ya.
5 people are warmongering brainwashed neo nazi suck ups that JUST DON'T GET IT! YES DBZ, fps games, Fight Club, Matrix YES THEY ARE ALL VERY ENTERTAINING..but THIS IS REAL LIFE...people dying in teh big fucking sandbox for NO STUPID reason! when was teh last time anyone had the stupidity to attack America on AMERICA'S shores? here's a hint. im 30 year old and IT HASN'T happened while i was alive! There's more to life than trying to generate national revenue off of war. Ron Paul ftw!
its sad to see a good man like ron paul pandering to a bunch of zombies who will eat up any sub standard dogmatic religious bull crap that is fed to them
I don't understand how these faux libertarians can claim to stand for liberty and freedom, when they want to regulate the private lives of others and who they can marry. Ron Paul 2012
@cwbyfan223 Liberty Under God means to obey God's Law and we will remain in the Land. It is when our nation rebels against God we receive a new ruler. Read when Adam and Eve were to obey the Words of God in the Garden to see what i'm refering to in genesis first few chapters. If we want freedom from God we chose satan as our ruler and the empires of man will rule over us.
@MrMatchbook Luckily the founding fathers were intelligent enough to, in the words of Thomas Jefferson, "build a wall of separation between church and state" , thus preventing people with beliefs such as yours from affecting the liberty and freedom of others. I support your right to have your beliefs, why you won't afford those rights to other's is beyond me. Keep your bigotry to yourself.
@cwbyfan223 They came from England who declared the queen mother the head of the church and state and not allowing their biblical faith in God to interfere with the system of religion England had set up. A man over man system God hates and only wanted to keep us from the empires of history.to have God over you means you live by his law in Liberty If you do not accept this you want freedom from God and get the system I just stated. Thats what it means to have separation between church and state.
@MrMatchbook You have twisted its meaning to serve a sucular view where everthing is permissable and morals are a matter of belief and culture. I do not accept all culture. I accept one law and custom and that is justice for all based on truth, which is what we put our hand on in the courts. Or else you have man judge you according to his beliefs. Which is what you see happening in Canada where i Reside. we are being brought infront of commissions for offending people.
@MrMatchbook "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion," -Treaty of Tripoli 1797. UNANIMOUSLY ratified by the U.S. Senate.
"Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law." -Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814
@cwbyfan223 I'm glad you stated that because I wouldn't want a government run by religion either we would have the same mess thats happening over in gaddafi land. What sets north america apart from other nations is that we built it on truth and not religion. The founding fathers had faith in God and Jesus Christ and they set up a country founded on freedom Under God by the people who spoke into the government. Back then the pulpits were on fire for God. Many said that If America's churches
@MrMatchbook Of course the pulpits were "on fire". A large percent of the populace remained uneducated. These people were one generation removed from the Salem Witch burners, it is entirley unsuprising that they believed in a sky man who cared about there every action. Had the founders been ancient greeks you would be arguing that our problems are because were are not sacrificing enough goats for Zeus.
@cwbyfan223 :) funny opinion but you are blinded by your religion Sir. Humanism is another religion that the greeks embraced as well. You do not want to face the truth. God bless you
@MrMatchbook I appreciate your good thoughts for me no matter how futile. However you made an incorrect assumption, I am not humanist. Regardless humanism is not a religion, it doesn't fit the definition one bit, yet once again I'm not a humanist. I would believe in your god if there was enough evidence however there isn't. You'd be arguing that Muhammad is the last prophet had you been born in Iran and Odin your highest god had you been born 1000 years ago in Saxony.
@cwbyfan223 I know what your saying. With out relationship with the creator what point is a belief system. I was raised in a "christian" home which also is a religion or belief system of this world. Religion is based on a lie and I do not put myself in that camp because the Bible says God is a God of truth not religion. All those christians you see trying to appease their pastors or priests need to come out of it and listen to What Jesus is saying for this time.If you want to seek truth you will
@MrMatchbook find it in the prophesy of the word of God. Thats why I know the book isn't just another man made belief system because It only could have been written by the hand of God. From the beginning to the end is prophetic.
@Pomiferous I couldn't agree more. Thankfully they organized our country without morally corrupt laws from certain religous documents such as the Christian bible. If they had the execution of drunks, gluttons, disobediant children, adulters, people of other faiths, and genocide would all be permisable. I concur that they didn't intend moral debauchery such as these laws entering the common law.
"The goal of all political activity is liberty and what is the purpose of having this liberty. Well, the purpose of liberty, as far as I'm concerned, is to allow creative energy to be released for us to then seek virtue in excellence, because governments cannot provide virtue in excellence, you have to have a free society so we as individuals can assume that responsibility." 1:39
@djerwulfe The problem is life is life if that woman doesn't want the child there are thousands of parents willing to adopt. What did that child do to deserve the death sentence?????
@djerwulfe Hey retard dont you know the number of abortions due to rape are less than 1%. You are The diluted one don't you have half a clue that most evolutionist theory has been made up. What's your IQ 90 or maybe 60. There is no factual evidence. I've got a 138 IQ and there is more evidence supporting the bible than evolution.
What the hell is wrong I see retarded Communists Posting all these stupid comments. Don't you understand that those of us with Values and intelligence Want our rights and so do unborn children and Even you. If you don't want to work go live under a bridge. Don't you realize the rights we've lost.
I don't go to doctors should i be penalized for not having health insurance, Should my money go to pay for you lazy asses, or killing innocent babies! NO, And OH HELL NO!! DIE YOU COMMIE BASTARDS
@djerwulfe very well put. It's like choosing between Toyota and honda for your car purchase knowing they are both companies that CAN be bought out by someone that is as crooked as Berny Ebbers was when he bought out SkyTel and MCI Worldcom( i used to for skytel inventory in jackson ms. so i know first had his crookedness via our raises being taken away as well as other obvious issues taht were already discussed on the news years ago.)
lets see cut social programs, social security, meidcare, military, public schools bring religon into gov and let the wealthy have even more money..this guy has a snowballs chance in hell. maybe a paul palin ticket, it would play well on saturday night live
@yesgyes Hey - what a beautiful example of deliberately distorting RP's views. 'Bring religion into gov"? RP would reduce gov involvement from all areas of life - leaving religion a purely personal matter. "Let the wealthy have even more money"? Only if they earn it - by providing goods and services to willing buyers. Not by getting billions in gov bailouts - money that is stolen from the people. You may be right as to RP's chances. Many beg for gov handouts - stolen from their neighbors.
@djerwulfe I agree with you. Luckily for us Ron Paul does not want the government to control abortion laws, so his personal views might matter on the general public, but it wont matter legally.
@dododunfer Playing god? Doctor Paul is an Obstetrician don't know what it is look it up. A college educated doctor who has delivered over 4000 babies, do you think that a man who has been a part of bringing that much LIFE in to the world would be on the side of destroying life? Some abortions are absolutely necessary, some are birth control, & some some are because a man wants nothing to do with taking responsibility for his actions. Not a doctor or a woman your opion doesn't matter.
@djerwulfe You point out specific issues with a specific school and act as though these problems don't exist within Private education or that your ONLY choice is a public school. Public Education doesn't preclude Private Education. Maybe in a Communist country, but that's not how it works here.
@marshallclark9414 No I am not stupid, but I think you may be. I was referring to a comment Ron Paul has made in the past about the incorrect notion that government can shape societal behavior. He is right about that and this video seems to show the opposite, as he is prescribing the way society should run and saying everything is about 'the family' and 'church'.
I want to see his daughter get raped, and has to keep the baby, make it twins, why not.
And again he goes into fucking religion, FUCK it. Stupid religious country... What happened to separation between state and religion? Why cant they shut up about that crap!? Religion has nothing to do with freedom.
@SIC66SIC66 actually it has ALOT to do with freedom. Re read your history. It DEPENDS on the type of religion. Islamic=kill ANYONE that DOES NOT believe in Allah thus they are the infidel=FUCKED UP oppressionistic religion. TRUE christianity=treating people like you want to be treated with common sense and dency WHILE NOT pressuring others to follow it ( we have alot of FAKE christians..and not enough real ones today)
@SIC66SIC66 and anyone that says they want to see someone else's daughter get raped is FUCKED UP. get a clue kid. if you're so interested in rape..commit a crime that lands you in a REAL prison.( not the kind that have all these healthclub features) and you'll find out how fun it is getting raped. What happened to commn sense and decency? If ya can't stand the fact that there are alot of religious people here..GET THE FUCK OUT OF AMERICA then! YOU HAVE that choice.
@SIC66SIC66 Are you a retard with an IQ of 60?? I believe she would have the baby because that child may have been a product of a crime, BUT That CHILD DID NOT COMMIT A CRIME !!!!! The man commiting rape should be the one killed, By the way abortions committed on children of rape victims is less than 1%.
@SIC66SIC66 I see religion as a poor substitute for rational thought. I don't share RP's religious views. But he is not in favor of any religion using gov't to force its views on others. His abortion position isn't perfect but better than current law. He simply says - as he does most issues - the the Federal gov't has no business being involved with it. Thus it becomes a more local issue. As I oppose all gov't - individuals should be free to choose abortion - at their own expense.
@danogzilla not bad imo..BUT i would prefer one of a few songs by Alter bridge. " rise today" or "open your eyes" personally i stopped listening to guns n roses waay back when axle proved to be about as dependable a musician as the government is about NOT lying NOR screwing over the people. and yes I dont listen to metallica beyond the black album either.
@djerwulfe that's just one of the examples coherent to public education and this bs " no child left behind" crap which has PROVEN to be the EXACT OPPOSITE of what should have been done. solution= RAISE back up the educational standards. make ALL not some of the parents get up off their asses and discipline their kids, and guess what..WE MAY one day catch up to china in the education field.I agree with your point about fed gov and problems in our education system THEY SHOULD STAY OUT of it
@djerwulfe part of the problem is that government has told parents " if you spank your child's ass it is child abuse" which is PURE BULLSHIT..that's why we all were GIVEN soft buns. it's JUST enough to cushion that type of discipline but still allows a SMALL amount of pain and just enough to GET the child's attention as to WHO is the damn parent. TIMEOUT doesn't work. so thus you got all these kids running around doing whatever the hell they want then they run into the law.=prison OVERCROWDd
My dream ticket would be Paul-Kucinich 2012! Wouldn't it be nice, for a change, to have level-headed people in the White House? Level-headed people who actually do care about their fellow Americans. That would be nice.
@jezmundberserker EH..i'D rather have Paul-Napolitano but then again Napolitano i think is too comfortable attacking tyranny in his own way with his Freedom WAtch show on FBN. i have more research i must do on Kucinich. though..I know little about him . cheers.
@Skunny87 Ron Paul introduced the "Sanctity of Life" act in Congress in 2005. It defined life as beginning at conception and, if passed, would have made abortion legally murder.
@marniespeaks So long as they can pretend its for freedom and use it to brag over someone who is against the wars. It's a free chance to be vain and act like they are better than the "whimpy" peace-mongers.
He is definably speaking to the the idea that people are having sex too carelessly and not thinking about the moral ramifications .. We have become a disposable society .. even with regards to human life. And thus we think of our own lives as disposable. He is right that people need to make better moral choices.
As for America and its founding in Bible/Scripture. Well Ron Paul just made the point. Enough said.

To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian." George Washington.
stonewall97 9 months ago
@stonewall97 Of course most of the founding fathers were Christian's, but does that really matter? If it had been predominantly Saudi Arabians and not English who founded the U.S. you would be claiming it was our duty as patriots to serve Allah. Once again I shall reference the Treaty of Tripoli, which was UNANIMOUSLY ratified by the "founding fathers". If Christianity was behind common law, slavery, rape, genocide, and the stoning of bad children, drunk's, and glutton's would all be legal.

@cwbyfan223 That's a treaty with another country not a bill that dictates that USA is not a Christian nation. During that time.

Dethkook 9 months ago 4
@dododunfer A President doesn't have the power to outlaw anything. Ron Paul is a constitutionalist. He's running strongly against that type of abuse of executive power. His position is that abortion laws should be left to the states as the constitution establishes no such authority to the federal government. His personal beliefs about abortion would have little relevance during a Paul Presidency. His main focus would be ending our senseless militarism and returning sound money to the people.
BudWithBeats76 9 months ago 3
@BudWithBeats76 I agree. He may be against abortion in his own morals, but he advocates State's Rights and wants to leave it in their hands. There are some instances when abortion is warranted - rape, for one. We have to vote for someone who would let the Constitution rule him, not the other way around.

Ron Paul 2012!
pgadeb 9 months ago
I was waiting for Dr. Paul to fully explain his views on abortion insofar as government intervention is concerned. He has said on many occasions that government does not belong in the abortion issue at all, either as advocate or as prohibitor. I heard him clearly articulate his personal view of abortion and listened intently for him to state his political principles regarding the matter. It did not occur. I can only conclude that he was tailoring his remarks after considering his audience.
jeffersonianideal 9 months ago 3
@jeffersonianideal Strange, I heard him on several interviews what he clearly believes on abortion. He personally says abortion is wrong, but the states have the right to make it legal or not. The federal government has no place to say whether abortion should be legal or not. It's all consistent with the philosophy of the constitution.
alexamasan 9 months ago
@alexamasan I recall Ron Paul on a number of occasions taking Harry Browne's approach to abortion. If you ever find the video clip, please direct it my way. When Dr. Paul was being intervied by Lew Rockwell a few days ago, he said something curious which was, "my beliefs will be a little bit different”, referring to this particular faith based event he would be speaking at. The interview is on Youtube. In this video, Ron Paul sounds more like Judge Napolitano insofar as abortion is concerned.
jeffersonianideal 9 months ago
@jeffersonianideal What I personally got from that statement on Lew Rockwell was that because the audience has a more religious background, he will need to talk about government his biblical views rather than his libertarian views. I doubt he actually meant that he's changing his views when he talks to particular audiences. Also, abortion wasn't even mentioned in the interview, so I would be careful trying to relate statements in that to abortion.
alexamasan 9 months ago
@alexamasan I appreciate your comment. Let's hope Dr. Paul stays consistent as that type of political regularity remains a main pillar of libertarianism. For the record, I never implied that Dr. Paul said anything specifically on the topic of abortion in his radio interview with Lew Rockwell. Dr. Paul addresses the abortion issue however, within this specific video clip from the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference.
jeffersonianideal 9 months ago
@jeffersonianideal Oh sorry, I forgot. If I just type in "Ron Paul Abortion" on Youtube, the very first two results I get have Ron Paul explaining his views on abortion and what government should do about it. Are you sure you had a hard time finding him explain his views? The first one he's in a dark room with people asking him questions and the second one was him on The View.
alexamasan 9 months ago
@alexamasan Thank you. I have viewed the video clips. That is the Ron Paul I am used to hearing. While I disagree with the good Doctor that life begins at conception, I do agree the Federal Government should stay out of the abortion issue altogether. Also, it is time to cease the use of the euphemism, "right to life" and replace it with the correct term, "right to birth". The vast majority of the lifer movement could care less about the life of an infant once the umbilical cord is severed.

I agree with everything RP is saying here except for his views on abortion and faith-based education; but I am pleased that he doesn't desire to push his views on me.
My own view on abortion is that potential/peri-natal life is not as important as the woman being asked to give up her time, money, and body to house that life. Property rights do not get taken away just because a person has a lapse in judgment, so an accidental pregnancy should not abrogate a woman's right to choose to keep it.
milesbennettdyson 9 months ago
@milesbennettdyson The woman should have thought about her time, money and body before she spread her legs. If I have a toddler that I no longer want to house and feed, would it be okay with you for me to murder it? Yeah, it's that ridiculous of an argument.
boredomstryks 9 months ago
@boredomstryks Pregnancy can happen in a number of ways entirely without a woman's consent (birth control failure, rape, consensual sex play without penetration, etc.), so blaming the woman doesn't solve the issue. If property rights are to be upheld, then first and foremost among those property rights are the rights of the individual to decide what to do with his or her own body. That does not extend to other people and their bodies (like toddlers), but it does cover hosting fetuses in utero.

I appreciate what Ron Paul's policies are. I only object to the pro life stance in that he ignored the occurrence of ectopic pregnancies. An ectopic pregnancy makes an abortion necessary.
mynameis677 9 months ago
@mynameis677
An ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion(and it's not medically termed one either) because the child is not developed and will not develop outside the mothers womb and also could kill the mother.
EDTHEWATERGUY 9 months ago
@EDTHEWATERGUY What you said doesn't make sense. I did not say that an ectopic pregnancy was "an abortion". (facepalm)
It's is a conception where the zygote is embedded in the fallopian tube. It cannot grow without rupturing the fallopian tube. If a zygote was carried to term in a fallopian tube there's a high probability both mother and child would die.
mynameis677 9 months ago

@Mosier2 the change? how about passing the healthcare law, killing DADT, reforming student loans, among many smaller things. he did not campaign on completely ending all our wars. he said he'd shift troops out of iraq and into afghanistan, and that's exactly what he did. he's a little more hawkish than most of us would like, but at least you can't call him a liar.

@cwbyfan223 I'm glad you stated that because I wouldn't want a government run by religion either we would have the same mess thats happening over in gaddafi land. @MrMatchbook Of course the pulpits were "on fire". A large percent of the populace remained uneducated.

War is government post birth abortion.
sintruder 9 months ago

Maybe in a Communist country, but that's not how it works here.

what about living life the way we see fit and rejecting this notion that government can somehow shape behavior??
chefextra 9 months ago
@chefextra Are you stupid it has the last 100 years of democrats running congress has ruined this country.
marshallclark9414 9 months ago

SIC66SIC66 9 months ago
@SIC66SIC66 actually it has ALOT to do with freedom. Re read your history. It DEPENDS on the type of religion. Islamic=kill ANYONE that DOES NOT believe in Allah thus they are the infidel=FUCKED UP oppressionistic religion. TRUE christianity=treating people like you want to be treated with common sense and dency WHILE NOT pressuring others to follow it ( we have alot of FAKE christians..and not enough real ones today)
chronofusion 9 months ago
@chronofusion
Ya because christiaintiy never had it's kill infidel moment....
Christianity has just been domesticated

@SIC66SIC66 and anyone that says they want to see someone else's daughter get raped is FUCKED UP. get a clue kid. if you're so interested in rape..commit a crime that lands you in a REAL prison.( not the kind that have all these healthclub features) and you'll find out how fun it is getting raped. What happened to commn sense and decency? If ya can't stand the fact that there are alot of religious people here..GET THE FUCK OUT OF AMERICA then! YOU HAVE that choice.
chronofusion 9 months ago
@SIC66SIC66 He speaks his mind as you speak yours.. and tend to agree more with Dr. Paul..
DonSolo52 9 months ago
@SIC66SIC66 Are you a retard with an IQ of 60?? I believe she would have the baby because that child may have been a product of a crime, BUT That CHILD DID NOT COMMIT A CRIME !!!!! The man commiting rape should be the one killed, By the way abortions committed on children of rape victims is less than 1%.
marshallclark9414 9 months ago
@SIC66SIC66 I see religion as a poor substitute for rational thought. I don't share RP's religious views. But he is not in favor of any religion using gov't to force its views on others. His abortion position isn't perfect but better than current law. He simply says - as he does most issues - the the Federal gov't has no business being involved with it. Thus it becomes a more local issue. As I oppose all gov't - individuals should be free to choose abortion - at their own expense.

danogzilla 9 months ago
@danogzilla not bad imo..BUT i would prefer one of a few songs by Alter bridge. " rise today" or "open your eyes" personally i stopped listening to guns n roses waay back when axle proved to be about as dependable a musician as the government is about NOT lying NOR screwing over the people. and yes I dont listen to metallica beyond the black album either.
chronofusion 9 months ago
@djerwulfe that's just one of the examples coherent to public education and this bs " no child left behind" crap which has PROVEN to be the EXACT OPPOSITE of what should have been done. solution= RAISE back up the educational standards. make ALL not some of the parents get up off their asses and discipline their kids, and guess what..WE MAY one day catch up to china in the education field.I agree with your point about fed gov and problems in our education system THEY SHOULD STAY OUT of it
chronofusion 9 months ago
@djerwulfe part of the problem is that government has told parents " if you spank your child's ass it is child abuse" which is PURE BULLSHIT..that's why we all were GIVEN soft buns. it's JUST enough to cushion that type of discipline but still allows a SMALL amount of pain and just enough to GET the child's attention as to WHO is the damn parent. TIMEOUT doesn't work. so thus you got all these kids running around doing whatever the hell they want then they run into the law.=prison OVERCROWDd

@jezmundberserker EH..i'D rather have Paul-Napolitano but then again Napolitano i think is too comfortable attacking tyranny in his own way with his Freedom WAtch show on FBN. i have more research i must do on Kucinich. though..I know little about him . cheers.

well i'll have to disagree there ron, luckily you prefer freedom and won't impose your view on abortion on women
Skunny87 9 months ago
@Skunny87 Ron Paul introduced the "Sanctity of Life" act in Congress in 2005. It defined life as beginning at conception and, if passed, would have made abortion legally murder.
