Worst issue with htc android phones is that silverlight support got removed after the htc desire.. And Bluetooth support is limited.. So sixaxis or wii mote will not work on htc stock rom.. I have owned some htc devises.. Desire, desire hd, flyer.. My girlfriend have htc sensation. Fuck Microsoft , I paid for Microsoft lisens when I bought htc phones.. Still no silverlight on my devices..
I own a HTC Thunderbolt, and and absolutely love it! I use it for a WiFi hot spot at my house. It works great no matter if I use it as a phone, hot spot, camera, etc. I would suggest getting the extended battery-the original battery does have a short life after It's fully charged.

Battery life, and constantly having to restart my connections are the only problems I have with the thunderbolt. Haven't had the problems with the power button. If I was going to get picky I'd have to demand a dedicated camera button. Also that the touch screen extend all the way to the tops and bottoms, in order to maximize the life of screen protectors, and have the edges tucked under a case. Rugged corners too... Less easily scratched screen.

When I sent in my original HTC phone for warranty repairs, only the touch screen was defective. Its USB port was still working
which was why HTC was able to charge it as well in order for them to troubleshoot the touch screen issue. However, HTC claimed that its USB port was not working, and wanted to charge me $198. It looks like HTC was just looking for ways to cover the warranty repairs. Do not buy HTC phones if you do not want defective products and services.
@thecj115 Nokia hasn't been able to make a phone that can compete with other phones in years. N8 is the closest they've gotten and it's still far away from what Samsung, Htc, Apple or even Motorola has released the last years.

i'll drop the always being online and the do da's for a phone with better signal strength and service oh and how about better battery life. everyone is just copying the other phone just to stay equal with the iphone. why not add solar power to a phone so it recharges considering the p.o.s will die within 2 hours or less because of the always online b.s. i use a palm pre and it sucks but atleast i can run 5 apps at once with multi tasking and it lasts 7 hrs,

@mesmorino I dont think you know what you're talking about. What you call 4G is what we call Turbo 3G, about 6-7 mbit/s. Now we have one of the first 4G networks in Europe, reaching 20-80mbit/s... so it is NOT the same thing, it's just branded as 4G by your operators

@gamer7790 The phone you are talking about is the Motorola bionic and after seeing the benchmark tests of the bionic and the ThunderBolt I went with the ThunderBolt because it had a higher benchmark score and after seeing these two phones compared the ThunderBolt was the faster of the two and yes I do know that the bionic is a dual core phone. Do not sell the T bolt short of ANYTHING it is an AMAZING device and by far one of the best phones out right now period.
@pyro74boy the device hasnt been released yet, so the benchmark tests that they did at CES etc. are not correct because the software is not built up correctly yet. if you look at some video of it it is really choppy because it's software is built up. just wait until the bionic will come out, be rooted and overclocked, and then compare it to an overclocked thunderbolt.

They had no reason to over clock the T bolt. T bolt is better in my opinion,
@pyro74boy the bionic has 512MB of DDR2 ram, which is the same ram that you put in your pc. the thunderbolt was overclocked yesterday to 1.8 GHz, which is extremely well and pushed it to the 3000's. the bionic will be released in may, and we'll see how well it will do...... @gamer7790 Yes I know the Thunderbolt was overclocked yesterday to 1.8 GHz, but the tests and reviews I was talking about came out way before the thunderbolt was even released and the one that was tested was %100 stock and was not overclocked. My thunderbolt is lighting fast and also keep in mind that it has not even been rooted yet. [WILL BE WITHIN A FEW WEEKS.] The Sprint HTC Evo 3D looks like its going to be better then the T bolt but I am still more then happy with the sweet T bolt.
@gamer7790 I also still feel that the thunderbolt is faster right out of the box vs the bionic regardless of specs. I know that the bionic has a dual core processor but I am not a gamer so I really won't be able to take full advantage of the the dual core processor anyway. I also found the bionic to be laggy. The experts have even said that unless your are a gamer you really don't need that CPU anyway. If I was more of gamer I may have waited for the bionic. I have NEVER BEEN MORE HAPPY.
@gamer7790 The battery is the ONLY real true issue with the thunderbolt. however after reading the droidlife forums It looks like the extended life battery is a easy fix for this. I have not yet gotten my extended battery but I will in time.
@pyro74boy: At $25-ish delivered (3500mAh & back cover) it's well worth it. Granted I have an EVO but am sure they have one for Thunderbolt. I no longer worry about battery usage,even with heavy all-day use.

Um hello I am using 4G LTE right now its no longer in beta and its fast as hell 3g is slow as hell compared to the lighting fast speeds of LTE. Go out and try it before you give people advice and say that a 3g device is better vs a 4G device.

To clarify, when i say "it's not", what i mean is that their 4G is not. it's been mislabeled, misbranded, or missold. Saying the 4G in the US is the same as 3G in europe is giving the credence to the lie, because it's simply not 4G at all.

Its not a txt n call phone. Its more like a piece of metal that you use to communicate with your own world. all those social feeds etc

For examples: The LG Voyager was launched in 2007 for $299, the Blackberry Storm launched in 2008 for $250, and the original DROID that launched 2 years ago went for $199-$299.
Most phones in the past and present are launched in the $199-$299 range; not just the iPhone (the most unoriginal piece of crap ever).

Many top mobile phone reviewers here still pick the iphone over android, even stating obviously advantages like open source OS. Theres nothing more laughable then calling the iphone unoriginal. especially when other phones took 2-3 years after the iphone1 to get the touchscreen right. And every android phone is just an attempted improvement over the iphone.

Curious -- at 0:18, the guy mentions that HTC does not make products that dial in on narrow groups, but rather create products that appeal to all kinds of people. I would like to point out the HTC ChaCha / Salsa -- it's pretty hard to get more "narrow" than a Facebook button...
BTW I am a huge HTC fan. I have converted after buying my amazing HTC Thunderbolt.

@gamer7790 The phone you are talking about is the Motorola bionic and after seeing the benchmark tests of the bionic and the ThunderBolt I went with the ThunderBolt because it had a higher benchmark score and after seeing these two phones compared the ThunderBolt was the faster of the two and yes I do know that the bionic is a dual core phone. Do not sell the T bolt short of ANYTHING it is an AMAZING device and by far one of the best phones out right now period.

@pyro74boy the device hasnt been released yet, so the benchmark tests that they did at CES etc. are not correct because the software is not built up correctly yet. if you look at some video of it it is really choppy because it's software is built up. just wait until the bionic will come out, be rooted and overclocked, and then compare it to an overclocked thunderbolt.

@gamer7790 The ThunderBolt was not overclocked I was going to also wait for the bionic to come out just like you did but after reading about the ThunderBolt and watching videos about both of these devices the ThunderBolt seems to be the faster of the two. You also have to keep in mind that at CES the ThunderBolt was also not a finished product as well. The bionic was also laggy. The T bolt cones with more ram. They had no reason to over clock the T bolt. T bolt is better in my opinion,

@pyro74boy the bionic has 512MB of DDR2 ram, which is the same ram that you put in your pc. the thunderbolt was overclocked yesterday to 1.8 GHz, which is extremely well and pushed it to the 3000's. the bionic will be released in may, and we'll see how well it will do...... (not trying to make post sound mean or anything lol)

@gamer7790 Yes I know the Thunderbolt was overclocked yesterday to 1.8 GHz, but the tests and reviews I was talking about came out way before the thunderbolt was even released and the one that was tested was %100 stock and was not overclocked. My thunderbolt is lighting fast and also keep in mind that it has not even been rooted yet. [WILL BE WITHIN A FEW WEEKS.] The Sprint HTC Evo 3D looks like its going to be better then the T bolt but I am still more then happy with the sweet T bolt.

@gamer7790 I also still feel that the thunderbolt is faster right out of the box vs the bionic regardless of specs. I know that the bionic has a dual core processor but I am not a gamer so I really won't be able to take full advantage of the the dual core processor anyway. I also found the bionic to be laggy. The experts have even said that unless your are a gamer you really don't need that CPU anyway. If I was more of gamer I may have waited for the bionic. I have NEVER BEEN MORE HAPPY.

@gamer7790 The battery is the ONLY real true issue with the thunderbolt. however after reading the droidlife forums It looks like the extended life battery is a easy fix for this. I have not yet gotten my extended battery but I will in time.
