  • nice buck man

  • What the fuck was that, an UZI ? lmmfao

  • Man was that dog barking while you were hunting? I guess the barking didnt spook em!

  • @FSUNole05 Nope, the deer are used to the dog. Dog is in a fenced yard and I've seen deer walk right past him while he is going nuts at the edge of the fence.

  • man when that first buck walked by ya i bet ur heart was a pumpin and then when the big ol boy walkd out i bet ur heart jumped out of ur chest. i get excited when i little doe or a little spike walks up to me. i love to bow hunt or just hunt in general. but i like bowhuntin better than rifle cause its more competitive.. and watching this video gets me all worked up for this huntin season summer needs to hurry up and end.

  • @COUNTRYMAN223 I know I'm getting the itch real bad...cant wait for the fall.

  • is that a f-15 broad head?

  • @MathewsHunter117 I believe it was a Hammerhead

  • @4511point21 i just though it look like one looks like you hit him hard great shot

  • @4511point21 i just though it look like one looks like you hit him hard great shot yesterday i shot 2 carp one small one only like 2 pounds second was like a 5 pounder

  • Ehh I guess that was cool. I'm not a pussy or anything but killing something for fun just doesn't sit right with me. But to each his own I guess. It would've died anyhow.

  • @underlinedbluetext He actually went to a foodbank. I donated hundreds of pounds of meat to charity last year too. My deer provided approximately 2000 meals from last year alone. It stays local too through Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry.

  • @4511point21 hey thats pretty cool. thanks for letting me know. good stuff.

  • gopro.com for camera mounts.

  • what kind of camera is that? does it screw in like a stabalizer or did you have it duck taped or something?

  • @crf100person The mount is the hard thing to find. My mount is from Ram-Bow. They make a lot of mounts for fishing accessories, GPS stuff. This mount is discontinued. It screws in to the front where your stabilizer is screwed in. Then I use a regular MiniDV videocamera on the mount. It is not the most stabile and definitely jumps around when you take the shot but it is the only way I can take videos since I always hunt by myself. I have gotten a new

  • @crf100person ....which is called the Deer Ridge Innovations Gun and Bow Camera Mount. It works about the same but is a little offset from the handle. I needed to place a short stablizer (only about 1 inch) long so I had room for my hand when gripping the handle. It also works for shotgun mounts and kinda OK for rifles.

  • wow!! Nice shot! Fresh free range meat! Is the dog barking in the background your dog?

  • @mykylc Not my dog. Just in a fenced in yard close to where I hunt. Funny how he didn't bark for the rattling..but did after I shot.

  • @4511point21 respect to that dog...it's like he knew what was going on.

  • relieved to know you finally obtained medication good job

  • nice shot. I cant wait to go hunting again i got i 9 point last year

  • was that ur dog barking

  • thanks for posting this great video of a great deer hunt. I took my first two deer with a bow this year and I'm HOOKED. Neither were as nice as yours, but I got a nice doe (very similar shot to the one you took) and a mature spike that I got VERY lucky to have walk out at 15 yards 6 minutes after I got into my stand on a workday for a quick hunt!

  • Looks like you got the shot off just in time...right before the dog started howling, it could have ruined everything. Great vid

  • mathews suck asss

  • Nice vid great shot.

  • nice buck

  • lots of haters on heer, good job waiting for that quartering away shot, looked perfect. thats a great buck

  • Hell Yeah!!!

  • I was surprised you shot when you did it looked like a hard angle and he was turned away from you , lucky shot i guess

  • It was only 19 yards, deer was calm and moving slow with a quartering away that I prefer. Perfect angle for a heart shot. Why try to stop him when they get tense and jump the string? Practice and have confidence in your shot. Don't assume since it might be lucky for you...it was lucky for someone else.

  • @4511point21 you practice those kinds of shots? your margin for error goes way down , i'll wait for broadside shot or no shot at all , have more respect for the animal

  • Amen, i wouldnt have taken that shot, but some people are comfortable with that shot and if you are comfortable taking the shot then i dont have a problem with it..GREAT HUNT and GREAT KILL...i would have taken that first deer,lol..my rule is if its brown its down..fawn,doe,spike, or a monster buck..although i wouldnt shoot a small buck until the rut starts atleast..

  • That's what I need to learn - more patience. I have to feel confident that if I pass the next buck coming thru will be bigger. This is a good vid on that.

  • That was very kule...your so calm and collected and film the smaller Buck go by and so casually get ready for the heavy 9 (almost 10) to come on in...nice work.

Great Buck and beauty hunt, congrats.

    Love those dark antlers.

    Thumbs up!

  • Sh!t son, that was a awsome shot. thanks for the vid.

  • man u were cool as a cucumber, lol good footage, buck and shot!

  • Awesome hunt ,great shot!

To those anti hunters .We the hunters are the managers who conserve these herds .If there was no hunting these animals would most likely die from diseases or killed on highways ,killing them or the people that hit them. God forbid it be one of your loved ones!! .The ecosystem would be out of balance there for creating more problems in the long run .

  • im still using an outback. Any reason why you switched to an x-force??

  • Greed for speed. Loved my outback...just moved to an Xforce for speed. Now I shoot at 62 pounds with a ~384 grain arrow and still get 293-294 fps. Outback was way smoother than the Xforce for sure but you give some of that up for speed.

  • Nice deer and video footage was great felt like i was there nothing like the sound of the leaves the deer make just got the mathews dxt dam it shoots nice

  • my better judgement says its ok and thats nature lol

  • The mount is the hard thing to find.

  • nice deer and shot. btw did you have to get a special camera to mount it on your bow?. 5/5

  • Use your better judgement please. Try to choose more wisely where you troll and make judgements on others. You have no chance of changing me or any other hunter on here. You are in a country where you wouldn't understand let alone even have the RIGHT to choose to do this. Except kill whales. Of course, I'm not going to Japanese videos and espousing my opinions on them. Live your life and let others live theirs.

  • If you don't agree go elsewhere

  • and nothin beats a mathews people... lol

  • hell yeah!!! nice shot, congrats

  • Nice shooting. Way to stay calm in the heat of it. Congrats.

  • Great job guy !!!! How close was the dog anyway????

  • Dog is maybe 100 yards away but he is in a high fenced yard. Ive seen deer walk within 10 feet of this fence with the dog barking at them on the other side and they know he cant get out.

  • Comment removed

  • Great shot...! Congratulations mate... :)

  • I love that little sign of respect at the end where you wiped the blood away from his mouth. So many people on here are over concerned with the killing side of it rather than the way the animal is treated after. Great shot and great patience letting the other deer walk by as well. I'd love to be able to take you out after something here in England, but Bows are Illegal for hunting here!

  • Bows are illegal?!!! I feel for you. Thanks for the compliment. I always treat the animal with respect and felt this battle-hardened buck deserved it even more.

  • lol the DOGS was a crack up ...Job well done congrats.

  • Good job! Congrats!! Hope to see more of the same in the future.

  • I'm looking to buy a camcorder to attach to my bow also. I have the mount already. I read miniDV is not the but that mini DVD or hard disc are better. Does your cam have a stabalizer buit in? I'm looking at a Canon DC 210.

  • I think a Hi-Def Hard Disk model would be ideal. The prices are coming down. Just looked in the paper today actually.

Another big consideration is SIZE and Weight. How big of a camera do you want to have on there is what you have to ask yourself. I think the Mini-DVD models are a little bigger than the mini-DV's. There is a lot of hassle with downloading and editing the mini-DV format. DVD would be easier and Hard-Drive would be even easier.

  • This video camera DOES have a stability program in it. I think it would be worse than Blair Witch Project if it didn't. You can help the wiggle as you let the arrow go either (too much shock running through the bow).

ANother thing to consider is the low-light capability. I have some shots on deer at first light and they are unusable due to the poor quality of my camera when it comes to low-light.

    Good luck

  • nice man great deer!!! im looking for a place to hunt in southwestern ohio im new so if u or any buddy ells know a place plz send me a message

  • pretty cool how you had the camera mounted

  • where did u get the mount for the camera and wut did it cost

  • It is made by RAM. They make alot of different mounts for electronics. I think it was discontinued though. Forgot what it cost...its been a while.

  • :( Poor Buck.

  • shut up Dark Nikorasu

  • Your a massive jew.

  • Nice Buck man! Way too go. Good luck in 2009! :)

  • Nice shot, those knocks make the video!

  • nice shot

  • Nicely done

  • Nice shot on a buck that was way more than quartering away! LOL at the dog...

  • wow that a nice ohio buck my cusin got the youth 2003 ohio big buck 18 point buck and it was his first deer ohio has some really big dear i missed a big 10 point with my bow and a big doe with my bow this season

  • go pse i have a nova

  • I have an x-force now. Why you would actually write a comment telling someone to go with another mfg's product is trollish. I post this for hunters and others to enjoy...not to argue about which bow is better.

  • awesome shot and nice deer

  • my first deer was a nine point i shot it in the mountians. it was the first day of buck too!!! i got it with i 7mm-08 deer rifle

  • nice, what kind of matthews do u have?

  • This was an Outback...now I have a PSE X-force

  • Sorry i don't understand. You took this video with a bow cam didn't you? What is your "current set up" you refer to. Trying to decide which direction i want to go..

  • It is a Panasonic GS-55 (mini-DV) mounted on a Ram-Bow mount. The mount screws into the stabilizer hole. The GS-55 is about the smallest camera out there for mini-DV format. I would love to get one of the newer hardrive HD models but they are too much right now.

  • nice Shot! you shot it in the gut and the hart

  • No guts...just a heart shot.

  • Would you purchase another bow mounted cam? or some other mount if you were to do it again?

  • I like the quality I get from having my own camera. And it is used for everything else too. With the bow cams out there now it can only be used for one thing. I like the set-up I have now.

  • nice shot mate and nice deer

  • Good greif that arrow was sizzling!

  • what kinda mathews u shootin in this vid?

  • It was an Outback (since sold)

  • funny ol world aint it

  • Nice little video ive always wanted to try the bow camera mount and nice quartering away shot, those are always tough.

  • Nice deer bro,I'd have stuck it in a heartbeat...What kind of broadhead are you shooting?

  • Thanks! It was a Hammerhead broadhead.

  • im switching from a horton crossbow to a mathews this year any advice on which model to go with primarly whitetail deer?

  • Stabilizer/cam mount good idea.Great video-w-(sound).lol Very good deer.

  • Man nice stand location and what a buck !!!!red fletching?

  • I'd have to guess it was a lumanock. they work great on finding your arrows after a pass-through, or even a miss

  • Yep...luminok it was. Since the camera is attached directly to the bow (and due to the associated shock)...there would be no way of seeing the arrow without the illuminated nock.

  • put the noise on im tired of seeing videos with no sound

  • dude was dat a dog or a wolf in the back ground

  • just a dog...a very annoying dog

  • awesome video! that was a really high quality video, loved it! nice deer too, I would've shot it in a heartbeat

  • Nice vid.....it's not my business, but you put this out there. That is the worst kind of deer you should ever kill. Young, good genes, at least 40 or 50 inches out of prime.

  • Yeah right...40-50 inches, LMAO! In your dreams...and anyways QDM is not possible in this area due to pressure and small areas to hunt. The bucks can be in 10 different areas that are hunted...by different hunters all with different goals. If you have 100's if not 1000's of acres to work your QDM...God Bless You (and post your heroic exploits here, of course).

  • Awesome!!! Love the camera mounted on the stabilizer. I shoot a Mathews Switchback Love it!

  • nice!

  • awsome deer

  • Yep...I know. Would love to show him some American justice though.

  • nice shoot mate!

  • Hey man thats some pretty good footage. What bow are you shooting? I just got the new Mathews S2. Oh yeah, thats a good looking deer you bagged.

  • Double Thanks! I used my Outback (since sold).

  • fucking hunter!! I will kill you like that buck!

  • If you are ever in Cincinnati...send me a PM. I'd love to show you our town and a personal tour of the Hamilton County Justice Center. Then after you serve your jail time, I can make sure you are deported.

  • The french invented camouflage. Leave it to them to run and hide.

  • Nice shot, this is such a cool way to fil, your treestand placement, its just a sweet view, again nice job and CONGRATS!

  • Thanks!

  • Nice job! i film my self as well. What kinda video set up do you have to do that?

  • Thanks...it's just a Panasonic GS55 camera in Mini DV format. Mounted on a "Ram-Bow" bow mount that screws into the stabilizer hole.

  • i live in west chester/lakota district...so you must not be too far from here...nice buck and all but were you pretty close to some houses beacuse i heard the dog in the background

  • yep...the dog heard the noise...his yard is about 100 yards away...his yard is high-fenced to keep deer out. I have seen deer walk by his yard when he is barking at them from as close as 30 feet away and the deer just look at him. they are so used to him.

  • funny but the fletching on the arrow dosent match the one in your quiver? did you have 2 diff kinds?

  • Not sure how you can see what color the fletching was on the arrow that was shot. Anyways...I usually do have an arrow that has a SGH on it instead of a broadhead and I try to use older arrows for small game work.

  • nice video. i think the camera mounts for the bow/shotgun are going to become a very popular item.

  • Awesome, congrats and nice work on the bow-mounted camera! A gr8 buck, not to mention gettin it on film byurself. I love that muley like G2.

  • LOVE THE FORKED G2

  • Done deal.Back straps for din din. Just wondering about the camera setup?

  • Panasonic GS-55 (mini-DV) mounted on the Ram-Bow mount. The mount screws into the stabilizer hole.

  • Sweet Thanks man...

  • Great shot....i'm 13 and can't quite afford a Mathews yet but i have a Fred Bear youth bow....i can't waat for this fall because i finally get to hunt with my bow

  • Nice shot and video!!Oh and nice camera mount, gotta love the lumenock!!

  • wow i like the vid nice buck too the cam was cool good shot

  • It almost looked like you were going to let him walk away. I thought you would have taken the closer shot when he paused below you. Either way hunting with bows is great! Never tried it myself as i'm afraid i'd let em get away with an arrow sticking out of his leg or something. haha! cheers!

  • Couldn't take the risk of moving when he was right in front of me. Drawing a bow back makes a lot of movement. Thanks!

  • Great shot mate

  • great video

    mathews rocks!

  • Good job man. That was a great shot. Hope you enjoyed the venison!

  • Where did you get your camera mount for your bow?

  • good job, I love hunting Ohio
