  • Sissy is fascinating.. I could listen to her talk 24/7.

    WOW!

Loved you clarifying that it's not John Boy of the Waltons... Goodnite, Mary Ellen.

    hahaha

  • you know so many fascinating people :)

  • Interesting woman! If it could happen it happens to me as well! I just had surgery in January and got an ecoli infection following it! It was immune to all but 3 antibiotics. When I had my gall bladder removed they nioked the liver and I had bile leaking into the abdomen for 4 months. I heard it on your vlogs before someone saying if I didn't have bad luck I'd have none at all... that's me as well :)

  • Ssm

Amazing! I worked with Sissy's son John in New York recently on a show off broadway and had the pleasure to meet Sissy - she is amazing! thanks for sharing her with everyone. I adore her and her son very much!

  • Sam...First of all, Sissy is AMAZING, INSPIRING, UPLIFTING, and an absolute blessing from God! Thank you for sharing her story with the world....and second of all...WHY ON THIS EARTH DON'T YOU HAVE YOUR OWN TALK SHOW....YOU A GREAT....

  • This video is so inspiring!!! I love Sissy. She reminds me so much of my late grandmother who died of breast cancer. Thank you for sharing Sissy's story with us!!

  • Sissy is a very strong, gutsy woman. It is nice to meet someone so inspirational. Four women in my family have had breast cancer. It takes a lot of strength to get through that. Thanks again, it was great to meet Sissy!

  • SAM;

I almost fell off the chair whenI saw the video of Cissy. I too had Guillian Barre' in 1999. Finally some awareness and via your blog. Thanks Ed (Dana's Friend)

  • Thank you for bringing Sissy to us and thank you Sissy for sharing..I feel such a great outlook after listening to you. You are both so ..just REAL! You share such amazing people and stories with us..and show the beauty of the human race. I could watch you 24 hrs a day!! You enrich my life Sam.. Thank YOU!!!!

And OMG too funny when she brought up...starting to drink and do drugs rather than "a newfound love of life" etc.......lol

  • Sam,

You are blessed to have such an amazing friend. Thanks for sharing her with the world!

It's all about living in the moment, don't you think? Thanks for improving this moment!

  • What a ravishing, beautiful woman, Sam. Inside and out. And what a fitting friend for you. Peas in a pod.

    Thanks for brightening my day.

  • What an amazing lady - thanks for sharing Sissy with us Sam.

  • Another Gem! Thanks Sam... it's so fun and wonderful seeing the variety of your friends and their experiences. A friend of my family is recovering from Guillian-Barre and it's so good to see someone who is fully recovered. Di

  • Sam, you have a wonderful smile and a wonderful face. We know that. Cissy is an amazing woman and thank you for sharing her. I needed to be reminded today that everything is perfect. You did hog the good light though. Next time, give your guest the good light. Love your vlogs.

  • What a lovely video! I wish it had more views! Thank you for sharing Sissy with us! What an amazing woman!!! I love her philosophy. It is perfect... I have a similar idea about life which is, "It is exactly as should be and I need to find the experience or lesson in my circumstance to move on to the next event... good or bad.." It's so much better during tough times than comiserating with "why me"

  • Friffmom - Great comments - she is amazing. The video went up less than 24 hours ago so the hits are just fine. Passing along something that touches you or makes you laugh is what gets the most people to see something.

  • OK, its very obvious that she is quite the delight. I enjoyed hearing her story. Its interesting how life or culture will try and strangle us, and out pops the gift through it. Its quite lovely, I must say. ~Raven

  • Seeing Liza shed her false eyelashes and wipe off her makeup toward the end of a show, I'd always thought of it as someone shedding their uniform or work clothes at the end of the shift.

How funny, relieving in a way, to hear it flipped so that the daily job routine becomes performance art and the work clothes are our costume.

  • You just did something wonderful for me Sam...you are truely a beautiful person. along with your beautiful friend Sissy. We LOVE dancers....just LOVE them. ! ! ! ! !

  • hey sam, in which state do u live?

  • I always wanted to live in Cognito..ba dum bump

  • Thx Sam :)i am going to moved to Chicago next year .

  • Cool lady.

  • I can't pinpoint why, but something about this blog has me all teary eyed. She is quite regal and peaceful. You have amazing friends Sam. (And I'm quite sure you are as special of a friend to them as well)

  • Sam, Why did you film this where you did? Was there a significant reason?

  • It was outside a coffee shop that Sissy I frequent. And there was no light on the street so we took two chairs around the corner for the light... and purple is always good.

    S

  • Ahhh very cool. Did you use your Flip camera?

  • Always. The new and improved one.

  • Yiddish is like honey on my lips...or should I say "apples and honey for Rosh Hashana"....

  • What a courageous woman. She is a true inspiration. It's no surprise that you have such amazing friends Sam. They are attracted to your beautiful soul as you are to theirs. Thanks for sharing with us.

    Steve

  • Steve -

    yes i plan to.

  • No Sissy, I am honored. Nice to meet you.

It really is all perfect and once one gets to really understand and accept that, life is so much easier.

  • Thank you for a WONDERFUL friend Friday, Sam. What a wonderful woman. You guys touched on smoking, I have to ask, how did you quit (I'm trying to quit - again).

  • I used Chantix and thought it was great. I also had a quitting smoking program through SAG and a quitting smoking partner (my friend Diann) and I read a book called "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking." In other words I ARMED myself. I was ready and I wanted to be free of the slavery of smoking and I was DONE! So I gave myself all the tools I could find and quit cold turkey - which is the only way for an addict like me.

    Sam
