  • Me Gusta Mas La Version Tocada Por Angels of Venice Esto Es Cualquier Cosaa! >:(

  • 20 pessoas nao sabem qq eh musica

  • I'm not sure that music is dead nowadays, like someone says... because every time you listen to something like this song, the music is live inside you.

  • can we please just shut up about religion and enjoy the music

  • חבל שאני גר במדינה ששומעים בה מזרחית

  • nice song

  • Jesus is thee only way islam and mohamed lead to eternal damnation according to the HOLY BIBLE

  • @rich1959az simpleton there is nothing but love here

  • @rich1959az oh shut up.

  • This is faster than how he normally does it.

  • in fact i don't know quiet well your religion, me i ve read Bible and feel good that"s all

  • oh la la qu'est ce qu'on t'as fait, j'ai fait parti d'une secte aussi

  • great song..why does he always makes me cry...wonderful tears...

  • awesome version of this...but waaay too fast :)

  • I love this song, could have been written for me

  • what is the song about, sounds like a bad LSD trip

  • @msxaniamore what song are you listening to?

  • hes not a terrorist

  • @bedmarlo no he certainly is NOT - he's a gentle man who has only peace & love in his heart

  • care, understand, none of you know, all superposition do you know a lisa

  • Once again I can say: "Old music is good music"

  • i understand that i understand nothing. i am continually unlearning. i am climbing down the mountain of knowledge. when i reached level ground , then i can procede to venture upward . the road between knowledge and wisdom is love. we dont control what we get in this life , only what we give. in the book The Prophet , by Gibran, he says " in the end you will understand the hidden purposes in all things , and you will bless the darkness as you have blessed the light. " keep giving, keep loving.

  • stop judging or you will never escape the duality. sorrow ,joy , pain ,pleasure, right , wrong etc. this has been going on since time began . you cannot change the world only yourself. look to God , wait in patience, keep showing kindness , forgiveness , humility , non judgement etc. etc. when we are worthy , when we are ready , for new understanding, the light will come . i love you all ie. i allow you to be what and who you choose to be. for if your God allows you to be , how can i not.

  • @Derekspop ..If your God allows you to be.. According to scriptures the God's seem to do the most judging. A brave man to judge you wrong but could God be the self awareness of the Universe? If so no more or less or different than each of us and the undeniable energy between all co-existing life? Still.. the most profound and inspirational comment I have read on youtube, peace Brother/Sister :)

  • high ??

  • @MrBooyka No, he's just putting everything and his soul into the performance.

But it makes Me high just to hear and watch this.

  • cat was always beautiful. still is . just that the ugliness in peoples hearts blind them. he loves now more than ever.if you want to see this love , you must love all. love is not always to like , but always to let. namaste

  • @Derekspop tell that to Salman Rushdie, saying somebody should die

because they write a book, is not love or beautiful

  • @Derekspop Yes, He loves so much, he became a Muslim - that HATES everyone that does not believe in their version of God... How ironic!

  • @dannyb15 muslims don't hate

they only understand that there is only one god

it's not about love or hate .

  • Sad Lisa, High Quality.

  • Does somebody know which is the version of Sad Lisa that he sings live with some women?? I cant fin it anywhere! And I remember that was beautiful.

  • oh Sandra Sandra sad Sandra Sandra,I love it because this song bringing me back to beautiful days

  • O "ESPANHOLZINHO" NO FUTURO! LISA TRISTE LISA!!!!!!!!!!!! CANTOR ESPETACULAR DE GRANDE TALENTO E BELEZA♥

  • How beautiful is this song! Cat great as well!

    thanks...blessings!

  • Back in the Day when they made "real" music

  • @clandry6281 oath

  • @clandry6281 Yes because music stopped being real. Tastes changed, music never stopped being music, however your "taste" stopped. Maybe think before you post, you almost sound over 12, don't scare us by saying you're 13...

  • was sagt er am anfang? - what he is saying on the beginning?

  • @tbc863 glaube er sagt "lisa, it's called sad lisa" wenn ich mich nicht verhört habe

  • This song always reminds me of my friend Lisa, when she had severe depression and was in a hospital!

Unbelievable depth in this song and very fantastic..

  • wish he'd turned hindu...

  • Rumi incarnate -

  • I love this song and the fact that people always comment about religions and argue instead of focusing on the beauty of the art makes me very sad. Cat Stevens is a wonderful artist who cares about his personal beliefs.

  • @pugsrulemm He does, Cat Stevens, I mean. I think he still meant for us to enjoy his music, though. It looks like many people still do.

  • So sweet and nice

  • @kimolesen Absolutely beautiful in song and thought. Must've been meant for us to pass along that same kind of genuine care for another. I do think it's the one thing that keeps this world spinning :).

  • No real archaeologist uses the bible as resource.

    -An educated archaeologist.

  • @zelden666 I just returned from a conference of archaeologists who, for the past 16 years or so, come together to share their finds. It's open to the public. Most of these archaeologists are renowned authors of their work. Interesting how, during each talk, all of them involuntarily referenced the Bible to validate their finds. I think I would've been too embarrassed to ask any of them if they, themselves, were "real" or not. :)

  • amaizing song, no one had written songs like him

  • I saw him in Mannheim last week... Immense, simply amazing concert from one of the greatest artists ever! Magic!

  • i saw him last friday in Brussels and it's was amazing ^^

  • Cat's intense passion is infectious!

  • Indeed, he didn't play it in Rotterdam either. Shame, but it was a wonderfull concert none the less!

  • I saw him Tuesday in Munich, great performance. He did not play this song, nor Hard Headed woman though.

    Did not matter.

He is getting old though, 62 years

  • Going to see Cat Stevens today @ Ahoy Rotterdam, let's hope he plays this magnificent song there as well. :)

  • hay liza :)

    lisa gibts auch mit "z"

    is sogar cooler

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you "iwanax." :)

  • great tank you cats

  • O take heed of yonder dog! Look, when he fawns he bites; and when he bites, his venom tooth will rankle to the death: Have not to do with him, beware of him; sin, death, and hell have set their marks on him, and all their ministers attend on him. He is like a foul misshapen stigmatic, marked by the destinies to be avoided, as venom toads, or lizards' dreadful stings!

  • great song!

  • good video but sounds very low

  • Who cares, he wrote this before his conversion and even if he wrote it after it's still a great song, true talent. We could debate religion for a thousand years and never get anywhere, this song only last for three minutes.....time better spent methinks :)

  • @riastradh2 ... other than needed time spent thinking about eternity, and who it is we're investing in for that. Do love his talent, though - no one like him.

  • @Catlovertea4 Relax you can spend your life thinking about all that and you'll be in exactly the same position as the guy who didn't. You'll find out in the next phase. I wouldn't worry anyway if there is a divine power who created everything he most likely doesn't have an ego so worshipping him/her/it is kind of meaningless too. Maybe listening to one great tune is all you need to do

  • @riastradh2 mmmmfor me - I prefer to avoid surprises around that corner. Can't come back and do it over. Cat made his decision on it. I made mine. I prefer trusting in the words of Jesus (John 14:6).. ...which means... I am relaxed... now. :) I do believe, though, that the idea that one guy is in the "same" position as another (in eternity, I mean) - takes more faith to believe. And worshipping God works out for my benefit. Even though I do love my music - it just doesn't compare.

  • @Catlovertea4 Hey If it makes you happy why not. But I would ask you to consider why you look to the writings of somebody sitting on a rock two thousand years ago who never met the object of his writings for answers. I can assure you he was more lost than you are. No one exists to save you, especially an omnipotent being and y'know thats okay....

  • @riastradh2 I take it you never read the book. Maybe you don't read history books either, I don't know. From what you wrote it sounds like if history is not in your current schema, then it only plays out the way you've decided. Interesting.

  • @Catlovertea4 Yes I have, probably more than most people who believe in it have. The bible isn't a history book,it's mostly allegorical,so maybe it's you who isn't used to reading history books or you'd know that. Also aspects of the story of Jesus share an alot with deities that came before him,i think he shares about 19 of the 22 aspects of a hero tale. The virgin birth resurection etc, all happened in other stories of other gods before him.So that story isn't just fake it isn't even original!

  • @riastradh2 If you read any of the first four books of the New Testament, the book of John, for example, you would've read about the miracles Christ did, and, like no one else of course. You would've read how He was punished under Roman law - for our wrongs. Over 500 people witnessed His death and then spent a month's time with him afterwards (I Corin. 15:3 - 6). Many of them died for what they saw. Would you die for a lie? Maybe you're willing to. I'm not taking those kinds of chances.

  • @Catlovertea4 Okay I'll go slow for you. It's been proven that no one who wrote any books of the bible ever met Jesus, witnessed his miracles OR his death. In fact there is at least a forty year gap between his death and writing anything. In those days life expectancy was about 30years so nearly two generations. Most of what we know about christianity from that time comes from the apostle Paul and his story was completly metaphorical, Jesus's life and ressurection according to him didn't even

  • @riastradh2 I see that you have not consulted archaeologists, biblical, at that, Hebrew, even. They use it to uncover finds, which of course, validate what's written. The Bible is not only archaeological sound, but historically accurate. But I don't live by it for those reasons. I haven't heard you cite where you're getting your information, yet. Every belief about our origin and destiny takes faith. It's whatever you find most reliable.

  • @Catlovertea4 I never said that the bible didn't have a historical backdrop (alot of books do), I never said Jesus didn't exist (just his story is fake).I said the bible was mostly allegorical so not literal and since it contradicts itself should be taken with a grain of salt.No archaeologist has ever validated the fact that Jesus had magic powers, please grow up!Read the study of folklore, read through the points all these stories have in common jesus has 19 of 22 in common with gods before him

  • @Catlovertea4 in the physical plain. All of what you believe comes from the writings of the people who took him literally when he never meant it that way. There is evidence a MAN called Jesus existed and was killed in the same way as everyone got killed back then but Santa existed too.We all know that Santas magical powers are made up,but yet you blindly believe in that Jesus had some?People die for lies all the time (think WMD's Iraq) but again it's made up because the story of Jesus is made up

  • @riastradh2 beautiful reply

  • Excellent!!...This video has my age!

  • @clarisaor 4 years old?

  • @woopedazz hhhhhhhhhhh he Intended 1976

  • I love, love, love, adore it. His performance is brilliant, he is talended i don't care about the choices he made in his life... that's his life. I'm just Lisa, sometimes, sad Lisa. lisa lisa, sad lisa lisa.

  • Please listen to the 36 crazyfists version

  • Hey, all of the comments about Islam- ... this was certainly written and sung before the Cat became a follower of Islam. Enjoy the song for what it is, and stop the hating.

    Peace and Love!

  • Cat Stevens is one of the best artists ever. The new rap and stuff can go die >=D

  • @SuperTicken thats abit ignorant, why cant you like something without hating on another?

  • I wish everyone leaving comments here would please just stick to commenting on the song or the performance or the video instead of anything else. It's a lovely song, can we agree on that at least

  • Comment removed

  • 14 people don't know a single thing about real music.

  • what bullshit from the muslim Yusuf Islam who makes death threats

  • @redshirtish yawnnnnn!!!!!!!!!

  • @nencio00 I agree with you

    Islam

It’s dull, dull, dull. My God it’s dull. It’s so desperately dull and tedious and boring and unimaginative and irrepressibly drab and awful and desp-er-ate-ly dull.

The purpose of Islam is Islam – the spread of Islam, the subjugation and destruction of all things non-Islamic. There is nothing else to Islam. It feeds off itself and reproduces itself. Islam becomes tyrannical – and dull.

Muslims are boring dull and unimaginative and Yusuf Islam is very boring

  • @redshirtish wow you're sooo smart...you must feel proud of yourself.

  • @nencio00 I agree with you again wow I feel so proud of myself!! duuhhh!

you must support Yusuf Islam in making death threats

wow you must be so proud of yourself

  • Hasn't he returned to the dark side of Islam?

  • So wonderfull song, i hope that the day when i will leave this world i will have chance's to be near to him to! With All the poeple that i Love!

    with All of my respect!

    Fab.

  • This makes me cry....so beautiful.

  • He is indeed incredible

  • @yamasnik Its so fun playing it with the guitar, try it..

  • he is incredible live

  • Great song, one of my favourites. I caught his last tour in '76 at William & Mary College in Va. One of the best concerts ever. An amazing singer.. I grieved forever after he stopped singing. It was so wonderful that he came back.

  • @zappa11111 nice

  • @lestinia certes mais c'est de l'intégriste dont je parles

  • Beautiful. Where's music like this now? What's up with that?

  • @dudstep there is music like this now...just check better....for example check john frusciante, his solo work is a piece of art ;)

  • @LinkTheBraveOne that sounds hopeful. Can you give one example of a specific Frusciante song that you would judge to be as good as "Sad Lisa"? I'm not trying to be smart here...I'm earnestly searching for good "recent" songs (anything from 1991 onward) that compare to the best of the '60s and '70s.

  • @takfam07 i can't judge song's,i cant compare anything with sad Lisa becoz sad Lisa is unique.and for example every song of Frusciante is unique.i am just saying there are a lot of beautiful musicians our days (i am not talking about mainstreaming crap) with beautiful influences, like Queen, cat stevens, jimi hendrix. that they are giving their best to express their feeling with music..that's all, music is changing, there is different, beautiful, unique music out there, like Yann Tiersen, frusciante etc.

  • Comment removed

  • @takfam07 See Maria Mena: All this time

  • @dudstep the music of today is only shit and justin Bieber. Real musicians never die and never born after 2000

  • @dudstep i'm 14 and i only like this stuff all the new stuff is so crap

  • @sp16199 Congratulations. You want a medal ? Perhaps a written document saying that you're better than your contemporaries who listen to modern music ? If you can't find new music you don't like than your either not looking hard enough or you're missing a chunk of your brain.

  • @wheresmyelephantt hey i think its you missing a chunk of brain if dubstep likes the song whats it got to do with you? and not liking new music is his choice and nothing to do with you, he is not saying he is any better than anyone else maybe its you that needs a medal commonly known as a stupidity award !!!!!!!

  • @dudstep Music like this is on youtube now and you're listening to it for free. When it was first released you had to work for 5 hours or more just to have enough money to buy one record.

  • i love this man, he is absolutely amazing!

  • I have to say, I was born a few decades too late, I wish I'd been born in the 60s so I would have been old enough to go see him in the 70s, but unfortunately I was born in the 90s :(

  • lisa aimait la facon dont tu parlais d elle . aujourd hui quand elle te vois elle a honte

  • ein Song voller Sehnsucht und Zärtlichkeit

  • Cat stevens is an extremley talented individual, this song is excellent but does sadden me

  • Who are the 13 people who dislike this ?? damn

  • i was every young when i heard this song form a german guy called neils who volunteered at a children's home that i resided in for couple oof years... will never forget how sad i felt that day! i always think of him and this song is just too beautiful!

  • why would 13 people dislike this?

  • cat stevens oh god sad lisa is beautiful, it makes me cry...

  • Simply amazing

  • Remember Marianne Faithful?

  • me gusta muchisimo

  • Why do performers always feel they have to speed up the song ? Is her in a hurry to get off the stage?

  • @DaLikkaSto - yeah, usually the live versions are a bit faster, you are right...it is because you have more adrenalin and faster heartbeat on the stage than in the studio... the crowd simply drives you wild

  • stunning. It stands the test of time so well.

  • gdhyrukgitllf

  • brillant and sad thanks for sharing!!!!

  • @walaowow

...he's not dead...I will believe that it was a mistake and you didn't mean he's gone because he is muslim, am I right? :S

  • I like the guitar part played bu Alun, fantastic!! I love the way Stevens upgrade his songs on live performances, always there is something new!

  • @walaowow He's not dead..

  • Everyone has a religion...the air we breath is the same, lets not fuck it up!

  • thanks so much for this compilation...you brought me back to my teens, to the probably best music we have had up to these days :)

    thanks!!!

  • magical, powerful, beautifull, excelent.A very good and nice song.No words to describe what i feel hearing this genius.

  • thats right tea for the teller men was my fav album

  • My favorite song by Cat Stevens ...

    this version sucks

  • i once was angelizza and was so sad angel

  • Lots of my friends broke their old Cats Stevens reconds when he supported the Salman Rushdie fatwa. I didn't because what he did as Cat Stevens is just wonderful. And I'm glad to hear he has moderated his views. No one deserves to get killed.

  • Oui, l'album Tea for Tillerman est vraiment le meilleur....Sad Lisa est un bijou du répertoire...

  • thank-u a love Icould only have wished 4 in my DREAMS

  • The violin solo in the album version is fantastic, it is missing it here, the song is not complete without it.

  • terrible version

  • Cat Stevens, what an impassioned song writer, a genius of our 60's & 70's generation, a timeless creator with a beautiful soul. His music has no boundaries and no time limitations, just as beautiful then as his music is now!

  • Wonderful song !

Very emotional and sensitive. I love it ! :-)

    Thanks for the upload !

  • This is an amazing song, and this is a great live performance. Its a shame you don't hear as many good piano songs anymore.

  • I've just watched a Yusef Islam: A Few Good Songs on BIO. I loved him in the seventies and what an inspiration he is today. So inspired was I that I've booked to see him in concert in June and have purchased a long forgotten album Tea for the Tillerman. Every song is measured, unpretentious, and from the heart.

  • its just pure talent and thank you for sharing

  • A Marvellous Talented Artist..

Rarely will you hear or see such beauty.

  • cheer up ; Lisa , after this beautiful song ♥

  • Really tiresome to see one comment after another about religion on every music video here featuring Cat Stevens. Who CARES? This guy was an artist from the ground up. Everything he did was heartfelt and executed with talent and class.

No one is writing or performing this kind of music anymore; very few performers

left with this much independence or perspective of their own. Just enjoy the music.

  • he is the best, i can listen to him all day. he is so uplifting and genuine. i love his lyric. ARTIST!!!

  • If you don't own this DVD - BUY IT!

  • è STUPENDA!

  • i look to his music not his religion, we all have our beliefs and must respect others beliefs too. CAT is such a great musician and one can see the intense emotion he pours into his performance which is packed with enthusiasm. He looks like a man possessed while he is on stage. He will always be one of my favorites.

  • Beautiful !!

    - Nothing more to say

  • Amo esta canción!!

  • just enjoy the music...who are we to judge.

  • alright phil?

this is so weird I was just scrolling down and saw you had written on this video.

  • one of the best songs ever, Stevens at this time: a genius, best record: Tea for Tillerman

  • @realub00t

oui cet album est le meilleur à mon avis aussi...Sad Lisa est un bijou du répertoire
