  • I like Iggy's version

  • Yes! Another Elvis video with more scumbags commenting on Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and whoever. See here's what I think, these so called Little Richard fans who like his Rip It Up aren't exactly completely satisfied with it. That's why they're here listening to Elvis sing it, seeing if his is better. If you worship Elvis the way I do, you know his version is the best and there is no need to listen to another. Buddy Holly and John Lennon did this song, hey scumbags, go criticize theirs too!

  • THE KING.

    You forgot John Lennon. :)

  • @capjoartist1200 Where's Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens!!!!!

  • well go to ur fagy little chuck berry/little richard videos and talk about them being the king of rock n roll there, because your talk here is just jibberish and unwanted.. elvis was OF COURSE the king of rock n roll.. anyone who says otherwise is just stupid or ignorant. bye

  • can't beat ELVIS

  • Little Richard´s honking melody is superb!. Little Richard knows how to tweedle, he knows how to do an incredible "falsetto" and he also knows how to rock every song he sings. That´s why he is the king of rock and roll.

  • @willpn100 dream on

  • @willpn100 And not just the King - he's the Queen too.

  • @zthetha No comments!!!!

  • chuck berry is a legend,he took it to the next level but he certainly is not the undesputed king of r&r,even though i prefer the later eddie cochran,elvis has to be the king as he was the main reason it exploded,there are so many pioneers who collectively developed the music to credit chuck berry to be the single handedly made it an art form is ridiculous

  • Chuck Berry is the King of Rock n Roll: his RnR was the most fully formed version of RnR lyrically and instrumentally of ALL the early rockers. EVERYONE did Chuck Berry songs because Chuck Berry's RnR WAS RocknRoll. He single-handedly raised its songwriting up from nonsense lyrics and novelty songs to full story narratives i.e. made it an ART FORM-established its themes-wrote its anthems-DEFINED Rock guitar playing. He is RnR's 1st GENIUS. Many had pieces, Chuck put 'em together & made RocknRoll

  • LOL! Little Richard's version is so much better.

  • Whether Elvis toured the world or not is not relevant. The world wanted him regardless. The Aloha special attracted a global audience of 1.5 billion. Bill Haley, Little Richard, et all could only dream of having such a large audience that wanted them. Not that I think that is the most important thing, but when someone tries to call Elvis' world popularity into question with silly talk, then it's important to look at the facts.

  • Comment removed

  • @willpn100 No, Elvis became rich, just like chuck berry became rich. He was from a very poor background and his family even lived in housing for low income families. Oh dear, try harder please... again, do some research then you may know something about what you are talking about!

  • @FabFM If Elvis is the most famous artist in the world of course he is the most billionaire man in the showbusiness. In terms of money, Chuck Berry is nothing compared to Elvis billionaire fortune. So that Elvis is part of "establishment". Rock and roll was born as underground culture and Elvis has distorted all rock and roll history.

  • @willpn100 No, Bill Haley distorted it if anything. He made it a world-wide fad then he died out. Elvis was the one that made it a world-wide legacy!

  • @FabFM First of all it was Elvis who died first. In 1957 Bill Haley was the firsr rock star to tour all over the world. In 1957 he arrived in UK by boat and took train to London. The front-page headline of the newspapers showted "FANTABULOUS". And his last tour took place in South Africa, june/1980. Elvis never was a participant of a "Rock and Roll Revival" concert. What´s Elvis legacy? Elvis has never shared with other rockers any experimentation on a stage.

  • @willpn100 Yeah Elvis did die first, but for all those years in between he was having something called hits... Bill Haley wasn't, so don't try and make out that's why Presley is more remembered now, it's not. Stop with the nonsence and make up rubbish that is so easily disproved. Elvis legacy is one of music lovers all over the world enjoying his music and as for him never sharing experiences with other rockers... what are you smoking??? The million dollar quartet anyone?

  • @FabFM First of all, I don´t smoke like you do! Is this Elvis unique glory? Bill and Queen Elizabeth are two royalties. He toured all over the world, his hits were the first ones to make billboard charts in terms of rock and roll. By boat, by plane or by train he achieved the world taking rock and roll to everybody and not by a sattelite tv. Those are Bill´s legacy, put rock and roll on the world map.

  • @willpn100 So what if he used a different tool? Big deal. The fact is the public chose Elvis and that is what made him the most successful and influential artists. Just because you don't like it, too bad. Elvis legacy was because the public wanted him, and I mentioned the TV special to show this fact. That it's!

  • @FabFM I have not chosen Elvis. Where I live the neighborhood doesn´t listen to Elvis records. Elvis here doesn´t exist.

  • If Elvis sang for large audiences, that´s why he became part of political economy. He became part of the capitalism and rock and roll is a kind of culture that is against this capitalism system

  • @willpn100 No, Elvis sang for those who wanted his music. Those that wanted it were many. All rock n roll stars sing for as big an audience as possible, otherwise they would stay in the small clubs and never make records. Stop thinking you are a spokesperson for rnr and what it stands for, you're not!

  • @FabFM What ´bout you? Are you Elvis spokeperson? Stop thinking you are his spokeperson, you´re not!

  • @willpn100 No, I don't think I'm his spokesperson and never claimed to be, but at least my argument is based on fact not made up rubbish. You make out because Haley was "so poular with tours all over the world" he was better than Elvis, but then when I say "hang on, Elvis audience far exceeded his" (which it does) suddenly it becomes a bad thing to be popular... because your argument was disproved. You chop and change when its proven your wrong. Or as we say in England, You talk bollocks!

  • @FabFM My arguments are also based in fatcts. It´s a fact Haley is the most popular rocker of the fifites to tour all over the world. I do not chop and don´t change because every subject is about rock and roll. If you´re calling me bad names "bollocks", this discussion ends here. You´ve lost! Ok.

  • @mare544 That was not your claim, you claimed Haley was more popular outside America than Presley, you didn't say to "tour outside" America (and seeing as Elvis never left the continent, then his popularity world-wide must be looked at to see who was "most popular") And no, I haven't "lost", you don't say when the conversation ends on my part. Besides "bollocks" isn't considered a majorly offensive word anyway! Ok!

  • @FabFM Elvis was a lab creation. He could not leave the USA, anyway. His show took place in the USA. Bill and the others rockers flew all over the word, and mobs cheered them to the heavens. You must do the same, look at the facts, but before that, will you please look up other rockers careers.

  • @willpn100 Rubbish. Unless other countries concert halls were somehow different to what was in America, which they were not. Stop this stupid claptrap. Fans celebrated Elvis word-wide, much longer than they ever did with other rockers. I have looked up other rockers careers and all pale compared to Elvis THE KING!

  • @FabFM When Bill Haley was introduced to UK Queen Elizabeth she said that Bill Haley is part of her youth. It´s a recognition of his job that no other rocker of the fifties had. This fact is much more important than a show aired by sattelite tv. Elvis never was introduced to a royalty. In the UK, Germany, Mexico..... Bill Haley is more important than Elvis was. Elvis was a spoilt child.

  • @willpn100 Oh yeah of course... a queen liking bill haley is much more important than 1.5 billion people liking elvis... hahaha... get real.... And no, don't lie... I live in the UK and I know for a fact Elvis is much more important here than Bill Haley. Elvis is still current here now, with high charting singles and albums even now, many of which still reach #1. Same in Germany, all over Europe and world-wide. You're fooling no one!

  • After the 1950s Elvis still had a long run of hit singles and albums, more so than most artists had at that time, never mind all the old rockers like Haley who could no longer drum up enough fan support to have any hits. Of course some people will try and make out the odd appearance in front of royalty means they were doing better than acts who had real success and had the support of millions of fans, but in the real world most people know that is complete claptrap!

  • i think his voice doesnt fit this song

  • Best evuh

  • RIP TRUE MUSIC =(

  • Gene Vincent had more true feelings on this song than Elvis and Litlle Richard combined.

  • samia554,are you serious???

    elvis put black people on the map.

    now have some respect.oh wait,are

    you a crybaby just like the rest of the

    them running around like retards?

    and claiming,america is racist?

    get the fuck out if you dont like us...

  • Moohahaha!

    I just LOVE Youtube dialog battles.

    I owned FabFM like a one eyed, one legged, 5 dollar-per-hour HO.

  • @creaturebotman Course you did. First person to own someone by making a tit of themselves and proving they have no facts to back up their argument!

  • @creaturebotman Course you did. First person to own someone by making a tit of themselves and proving they have no facts to back up their argument!

    As if...

  • @FabFM ...

    What! are you kidding?

    Youre back?

    You dont get it? I AM FUCKING WITH YOU!

    You are taking this far to serious pal.

  • @creaturebotman No i'm not taking it "serious", no one would take what you say serious, it's childish...

  • @FabFM ...

    Suuure you didn't

    :-)

  • @creaturebotman No id din't.. this is you tube.. the net... a way to pass time when bored... not prime ministers questions. Sorry if you think it actually has more meaning. It dosen't!

  • @FabFM ...

    Yes. Your right. This is youtube. No need to take anything serious.

    PEACE!

  • @FabFM .. I can't believe you actually thought I was serious about a Buck tooth Rockin Roll King...

    Come on!

  • @creaturebotman I didn't. That's why I didn't give in a second to look it up. I knew you were talking crap, and said so at the time because you kept going on about it...

  • @FabFM, okay,lets compromise.I'll be the one to say the title "The King of Rock n Roll" belongs to Elvis. That's the stage performance name he was going on at the height of his career and well deserved. He had some low moments too (Fact) but he was still called the "King" He was certainly One of the greatest influences in the history of R n R but not A "KING" of Rock in Roll. There were KINGS, Queens, Prince and Princes if you wanna get into it like that. Factually, it doesnt matter. Its Silly

  • @creaturebotman Yes, Elvis was the king, like it or not. He was the biggest, most influential and had a bigger influence on culture than any of the other rock n rollers. Little Richards best days were behind him by the end of the 50s. Not the case with Elvis. He retained his popularity and went on to produce music that got fan support for the next two decades and beyond. I never said this was proof he was the best, and even started that several times,but those are the facts.

  • @FabFM Elvis should thanks all his fame to RCA. Both are part of capitalism economy. He recorded music just for selling.

  • I see.

  • Isn't this Ritchie Valens song ??

  • @johnnyjaramone Oh no, it´s Little Richard´s smash hit. At that time, Elvis refused to record it. So, Little Richard put is on the map. Elvis is "The White Little Richard"

  • This video is Soo stupid. I love the song but the slide show was ridiculous

  • This song is just a pale and bad cover of the Bill Haley's version.

  • Comment removed

  • looove elvis!! <3 seeeexy!

  • cool photos, they go with each little part of the song.

  • Elvis is Great .but Buddy Holly had an influence on so many English bands and is at least in my eyes the true king of rock n roll! It's simple. Buddy holly was a songwriter, Elvis wasn't.

  • @LostMixedTape i vote buddy too, cause he had such a big influence on the beatles and then they had such a big influence on so many more bands :)

  • @hello2900 Elvis was the beatles biggest influence, not buddy holly. All four of the beatles have said this.

  • @LostMixedTape So what? Many artists write their own songs. By this logic Elvis is below boy bands that have written a song. Elvis was a very talented singer, song spotter and had the whole package as an entertainer. He is the king.

  • samia554 you are a complete idiot

  • samia554 you are a complete idiot

  • Elvis presley is a red neck he stole half of his song from black people such as little walter nd little richard nd many more the true king of rockin roll LITTLE RICHARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @samia554 YOUR A RACIST ! little richard was the queen of rock !

  • @samia554 I'm just saying, but no one gives a shit about you god damn fucking "niggers" who seem to think the whole world is against you. Grow the fuck up and stop being racist, because no one wants to hear it!

  • Good Vid !!!

  • Buddy Holly is the true king of rock&roll.

  • @LostMixedTape agreed.

  • @LostMixedTape umm, no. not even close.

  • @LostMixedTape very funny! but he did some good records ! I would put him up there with about five others who are just below elvis.

  • @satanclub666 your not fit to lick his thirty three years gone moldy rotten feet so FUCK OFF

  • elvis sucks

  • @satanclub666 and yet you're here on an Elvis video? go get a life you little troll.

  • @satanclub666 Then why the fuck are u watching his videos

  • @satanclub666  twat

  • he is a king now he is a legend

    its sad he died

  • perfect! I love Elvis's music :D

  • Little Richard rapes Elvis

  • @karlhero Ouch! But SO true!

  • Elvis Presley WAS the king of rock n roll.

  • spetacular video... congratulations and hugs from Brazil... and... VIVA ELVIS FOREVER

  • give me a gun and 10 bullets..ima go hater hunting...

  • Little Richard's version out rocks this oneby a mile! Richard's vocals are just so much more powerful, soulful and rocking!

  • @jackiechampion Agreed but I like the instruments on this one better.

  • very post-modern video, reminds me of the conditioning video Nick watches in 'The Game'. as a side not elvis raped black music for a largely racist middle america.

  • Ritchie Valens is the king of rock.

  • @JesusIsReal1000 Valens was a talent but he wasn't on the level of Elvis. Elvis had way, WAY better range, vocally.

  • Ritchie Valens doesn't have his own channel on XM Radio!!

  • Little richard did it better

  • ritchie valens is a king of rock and roll

  • ritchie valens is a king of rock and roll

  • Perfect! The energy on this number is pure rock n roll which I think only lasted for a couple of years in the fifties before it got too contrived. You get the same feeling listening to, for example, Buddy's Midnight Shift. I guess it must be to do with being a very young man and still being, to a large extent, innocent. DJ and Scotty really do rip it up together, don't they?

  • Weak and tame. Many did this one better!

  • @bumblebeemoi I disagree I think Elvis had the best version of this song. You may be right about it being tame but i dont find it weak. Its all a matter of how loud you listen to it. In my opinion

  • Can we all hear YOUR VERSION?

  • oh yeah woohoo :))))

  • Comment removed

  • Hm, we better listen to the original and forget this bad cover!

  • Gene Vincent's was a lot better.

  • @monkeyturdman7 gene does this song too?

  • Great Elvis..., but in this sing I prefer the Bill Halley version

  • why show a caddy when an 88 is an olds?

  • I Love Elvis's Version Of This Song No One Can Compare To The King !!! Or Fill His Shoes !!!

  • Chuck berry is the king of Rock and roll

  • awesome video! Elvis would be happy to see how many fans he still has, because he was, is, and always be the king of rock and roll!

  • Liked the video. Hated the guitar work. There are so many better versions of this song.

  • il re

  • Lol at this video. Made me smile.

  • nice song but the video SUCKS

  • elvis is better than little dick!!!

  • No, your dick is little.... Little Richard the REAL KING OF ROCK N ROLL !

  • Little Richard is not the king of rock n roll, the only real king of rock n roll is Elvis Presley!

    "Elvis was God-given, there's no other explanation. A Messiah comes around every few thousand years, and Elvis was it this time."

    -- Little Richard

  • @FabFM Don´t you blaspheme here. Jesus Christ is the only one. The King of the Kings.

  • evis presley is the king of rock n roll

  • Yes, Elvis Presley IS the king of rock n roll!

  • @FabFM

    ritchie valens is a king of rock and roll

  • @kammaks13 Richie Valens is pants!

  • @FabFM ...

    No... Little Richard is...

    Don't believe it?

    Listen to the original.

  • @creaturebotman I have.... many, many times... and no... Elvis is much better!

  • @FabFM ...

    Actually ... Fact is...

    It's a matter of personal opinion and taste.

    One thing is for sure...

    Little Richard WAS first.

  • @creaturebotman Actually no. Elvis made his first record at Sun a year before Little Richard came on the scene.

  • @FabFM ...

    Oh Damn ! one year...( Like it even makes a differance)

    ~~~ yes you are right.
    Ok.. lets agree to this
    Elvis is DEAD and Little Richard is still very much ALIVE and well and still rocking even at the age of 78.
    OKAY?
    :-)
  • @creaturebotman Actually it does make a difference... it proves your claim was inaccurate if nothing else.
    Yeah, Elvis is dead but one thing is clear - his music is still very much alive, much more than Little Richards. One day he will be dead too, yet Elvis's legacy will still be much bigger. How many millions will visit his birthplace, his home town, etc. Nowhere close to Elvis. Heck, even Elvis impersonators draw a bigger audience!
  • @FabFM ...
    Micheal Jackson sells more records than elvis has after death. does that make MJ legacy bigger? Little Richard blew the lid off the Fifties, laying the foundation for rock and roll with his explosive music and charismatic persona. On record, he made spine-tingling rock and roll. His frantically charged piano playing and raspy, shouted vocals on such classics as "Tutti Frutti", "Long Tall Sally" and "Good Golly, Miss Molly" defined the dynamic sound of rock and roll. That the facts.
  • @creaturebotman No he hasn't. The amount of records sold after death still belongs to Elvis. Within the 24 hours after his death 20 million records were sold. Number 1 hits are still had by Elvis all these years on, whether or not MJ does that remains to be seen. And it was Elvis who blew the lid off the '50s (the FACT is 50 million never tuned in to see Little Richard perform on TV). Little Richard didn't define Rock N Roll, no one single handedly did that, not even Elvis.
  • @FabFM ....
    you WIN!
    hahaha
    Damn these Elvis fanatics!
  • @creaturebotman I'm not an Elvis fanatic, indeed there are several other artists whose music I enjoy just as much, all of whom played a vital role in the shape of music history, but I would be deluding myself if I said they all had the same cultural impact Presley had.
  • @FabFM Elvis is a matter of merchandising. He wasn´t a good music writter; he did not play any music instrument well; was the king of "covers"; and used to tint his har yet. Black people put Elvis on the music map. He recorded four Little Richard´s smash hits. Two Chuck Berry´s hits. Two Big Joe´s Turner´s hits. Two Arthur Crudup´s hits and Good songs writters did not give to Elvis songs for him to be recorded. So, more and more Elvis did many "covers" often and often.
  • @willpn100 Rubbish. Merhcandisng is The Spice Girls, The Backstreet Boys and NYSNC, not a man who changed the musical map and is still as popular all these decades later. Oh and guess what, all the acts I just mentioned "wrote songs", I guess you'd call them all musical geniuses by your logic. A song is only as good as someone likes it. Most people don't read liner notes to check who wrote what before they decide if they like a song. And Elvis' legacy speaks more than your tunnel view of him!
  • @FabFM Nobdy checks who wrote the songs. That´s why everybody finds those songs were his. To Elvis is a great business.
  • @willpn100 No, people don't check the songs BEFORE because people like to listen to music. Fans later check pout who wrote songs they like. However, the songs are Elvis'. All the top writers rated him, which is why I said his legacy speaks more than your tunnel view. The Beatles, Dylan, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Chuck Berry et all all loved Elvis. If anyone speaks for songwriters it's them, not you!
  • @FabFM The songs are not Elvis. Elvis loved Little Richard at the point to record four smash hits of LRichard. He loved Chuck Berry and recorded two songs of CBerry and so on with others artists. He´s the king of "covers". I would like to see Elvis being a success with his own song writing or own hits.
    Long Tall Sally/Tutti Frutti/Ready Teddy/Rip It Up: are originally LRichard´s hits;
    Johnny B. Goode/Memphis: are originally CBerry´s hits;
    Shake, RAttle and Roll/Flip Flop and Fly:.........
  • @willpn100 Yes, the songs are Elvis, he's the one who had the hits. His versions were the success. End of. Again the people you rant on about adored him. Chuck Berry even said "Elvis - the greatest there ever is, or ever will be". His own words speak more than your tunnel view. So stop with the same tired points. No one says the mamas and papas were crap because the singers didn't write the songs. Many great singers didn't write. So what? Doesn't bother me, too bad if it does you!
  • Comment removed
  • @willpn100 No, they are not called the "kings" because they didn't reach the level of success, or have the huge influence Presley had, and that is why Presley is called king! And no, I won't stop answering, you want to stop then you do it, I have just as much as right to reply as you. If you want to live in a world where you have the right to the final say you better build a space rocket and get out of this one! Elvis is not at the bottom of a list, he is at the top!
  • @FabFM You´re a hard nut to crack!. What else can I say? I just said what I think! I´m not his fan. I´m not his attorney, so that:
    - Who is the father of rock?
    - What´s the name of the first white rock and roller to perform at Apollo Theater?
    - Was Elvis the first singer to record Ready Teddy/Rip It Up?
    - How many times Elvis toured Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Australia?
  • @willpn100 Their is no "father" of rock, rock n roll was a
