@MajorMab I think he/she means that if the dogs hadn't attacked Swiftpaw and Brightpaw, ThunderClan wouldn't have realised they were all in danger and would have all been killed when Tigerstar lured the dogs to their camp. Swiftpaw's death and Brightpaw's wounds is what made everyone find out about the dogs and flee in time. I don't know how the other three Clans would be dead though...
