@cHiKaDiNg58 you really don't have to be worried if your language is dying since languages don't actually die, they just evolve into another form. take the case of the romans, when they were at the height of their glorious days, latin was the widely used language of the time but eventually branch out to different dialects that formed into several european languages. life is just too short to be preserving a dying language but it is a lot easier to learn and acquire a new one.

People of the Philippines should not continue to tag themselves as Filipinos (after Spain's King Philip II) The early people after the spanish rule should adopted a new name for the natives but they did not do it. Then the elites born spanish, the wealthy with spanish ancestry wants to maintain they rule of the country now Philippines established a name for themselves only not after the protest against them by the majority of all non spanish origins. The Filipino tagged is not very native.

The word FILIPINO is designated only for the Spanish Insulares or Spanish born in the Philippines not for the natives of the Philippines, that was after the fact of Spanish rule from 1565-1898. Then after 1898 the tag filipinos are now designated to all the people living in the Philippines with the exception of the Moros of Mindanao. Filipinos after Spanish rule made a numerous mistakes of identifying ethnic groups. Majority of Philippine natives excluded on this classifictions.

This show is such a contradiction in itself, what a joke. You don't see other cultures and races arguing over something so rediculous. You either were born in the P.I or you won't. it's that simple. i would just like to say that it is impossible to immerse yours in the Filipino culture when living outside of Philippines. I am half Australian half Filipino and i have tried respect my heritage and understand it. i can't really know what it's like until i live there. When i moved here to the USA. i didn't understand the culture until i lived here, yeah sure there are movies about the USA, but that's nothing like being a real american. And I have a Filipino classmate and all we did was to talk in English everytime we meet. I was like can't we just speak in our language for once? @cHiKaDiNg58 you really don't have to be worried if your language is dying since languages don't actually die, they just evolve into another form. take the case of the romans, when they were at the height of their glorious days, latin was the widely used language of the time but eventually branch out to different dialects that formed into several european languages. life is just too short to be preserving a dying language but it is a lot easier to learn and acquire a new one.

Filipinos before the Spaniard came lived in bamboo houses so we don't really have grandeur buildings. Temples were all erased by the Spaniards so that they could easily convert Filipinos to Christianity thus making the country easier to colonize. The remaining artifacts are in the national museum.
