  • Kept winning??? or kept from winning by the likes of Mercedes and Audi both of whom still race in the DTM today. BMW were openly challenged to join but they continue to hide. Here is company that sports DTM accessories on their cars yet are outside of it. Cowards!!! Pulling out of F1 only makes my case even stronger. So while you are spanked mightlily in F1 by Mercedes and lapped in the WTCC by SEAT and Chevy (wow what a challenge!)

you ain't got no bragging rights. Mercedes/Audi Rule!!!

  • Oh dear just proves a merc head who wont read facts.... what is the most succesful race winning car????? oh the BMW m3 e30 nd what did it win most of its tittles? oh DTM ... please drivr ur taxi back to the garbage yard...

  • what lap time? around your backyard? If you are comparing "civilian" road cars like an M3 and C63 in a makeshift track that starts at at 7-11 in the Valleys of SoCal then you have an amateur brain. Motor racing is where Merc and Bimmer gloves come off son. Not a drag race by teenage newbies who race when cops aren't around. Lap times in F1 are the ultimate in speed. And speaking of F1, we won and continue winning while BMW loses and decides to pack it in. Owned once again.

  • @beemersdoitbest

He probably forgot how BMW dominate WTCC between 2003-2006. They were so strong, FIA have to keep change the regulation to make the game "fair". Every WTCC E90 has 24KG default handicap weight, because back in 2006 all other teamS(front wheel car) complain they can not compete with BMW because the rear wheel drive. The recent years they quit various race and has bad result is because the recession. (BMW board never allow the company run on deficit)

  • oh year the new merc amg........ still hasnt beat the new m3 on lap times ... oh and yours has a bigger engine... just proves merc cant make good handling fast cars....

  • @beemersdoitbest

(cont) For WTCC case, E90 may not as competitive as E46. Since I remember SI is run on a straight 4 and E90 is bigger (hence heavier) than E46, plus the 24 handycap. The SI is some where 50-60Kg heavier than the rest of the teams. And the SI is the only factory car I notice still running 5 speed H pattern transmission. Others run on 6 speed sequential. (the regulation said once you go into sequential you can not go back) So, of course the odd is not in BMW favor.

  • WTCC is a pussy 4 banger series. They should try the DTM where the big boys play (Mercedes and Audi).

  • Oh wot that old series that BMW kept winning so they wanted more of a challenge? who wants to stick loads of plastic on there car anyway?

  • I think you should get you facts right about DTM mate.... BMW left DTM as they kept winning it there was no challenge ...and who wants to stick loads of plastic all over thre car anyway?...do youself a favor sell your taxi and buy the ultimate driving machine...

World fact: Mercedes is the fastest growing car used as a taxi (that about all its good for!)

  • @wawiebeastman really don't care BMW or Merc, but when you typed "WTCC is a pussy 4 banger series", it shows how ignorant you are to motorsport. These Super 2000 FIA reg race cars are the closest to real road cars, yet they can generate instantaneous 2g sideway force, and produce 140bhp per liter.

Year 2012 I will be driving Super 2000 spec race cars, these cars are very high tech and capable.

Current DTM is very boring, watch Japan's Super GT or FIA GT1, one is faster, one has many makes.

  • @golferchin76 Well, Dr. Theissen would agree with me now that the WTCC is a pussy 4-banger series. Why? BMW just lost to both Chevy and SEAT the past 4 years including this year and announced they are leaving the sport and re-joining DTM in 2012. I guess its better to lose to Mercedes and Audi than to SEAT and Chevy don't you agree?

  • @wawiebeastman these days RWD cars can't win in S2000 spec races like WTCC and BTCC because FWD has 2 major advantage. 1st, coming out of corner drivers can stomp the gas quicker, while RWD cars have to wait just a slightly. 2nd, FWD can counter an oversteer induced by driving error or a slight touch on inside bumper by rear cars easily. BMW fared ok in BTCC tho, ranked 4th as constructor, points really close. In WTCC, it is a disaster. The whole mid-last cars are BMW RWD cars.

  • @wawiebeastman lb vs lb S2000 series are not pussy 4 bangers. The objective of S2000 is about racing with as little budget as possible, and due to little aero mods race fans can relate to these cars.

DTM, heard that BMW is going back and isn't, but there's Nissan talking of going in. If these 2 makes join the race, which will encourage other makes to join, DTM might just turn out to be the most interesting super touring like Japan's Suer GT, we will see 2012+. Merc might be beat, hehehe
