There is no way that guy can ride. "They average 30mph..." There are kids who run GNCC races on a 65cc bike that average faster than that...I thought Discovery Channel might do something better than this...

I've ridden this bike and it is a screamer, and acceleration junkie's dream. After I got off I realized that electric drive trains are the wave of the future. The motors are much more efficient than internal combustion and the near instant power band is awesome.

I'd still like an electric bike. Just like 2 strokes b4, now they are dominated by 4 strokes. Eventually, like it or not, electric motocross will be the majority someday. The guy who made this bike isn't the only 1 trying to make a great electric bike. It will happen. All major motorcycle manufactures will be challenged to make a good electric bike. I too like the sound and smell of gas motocross, never quite grew out of preferring a 2 stroke power band. But I love the quietness of the Zero!

I'm also sick of all the people on this show saying the electric crap makes like 2x more torque and their twice as fast. yea right.if it made more torque then it would it would be throwing roost everywhere. there almost no wheel spin. the forks look like twigs i love how this faggy announcer says 'the four stroke gas motocross is smelly as it is noisy' these bike barely even smell.does it even look fun to ride on an mx track?!

I must have missed the part where they say the electric bike is "twice as fast" This is an electric mountain bike, its not meant to replace your YZ. This is just the beginning. You better learn to like this "gay electric new shit" because its replace gas transportation in the next decade simply because it will outperform gas.

This is a joke the, the guy on the 250 was riding it like it was his first time ever ridding, the engine barely revved up. The eclectic bike was cool but they should have compared it to a TTR230 or similar not a big bad YZ

To be honest I think this comparisons are a joke. Yet I LOVE the zero bike and want one badly. Its size and susp reminds me so much of a trials bike... I can't imagine how much I would jump it hehehehe

I like the bike, but there is no way it can match the performance of a 250. That hurts their credibility to make that claim. I have the same yz250f dirtbike and it does 70mph, with suspension and brakes that would dominate that electric.

I would still love to have the electric, though. How fun that would be on the local city trails.
