Also, it wasn't just open ground persians specialized in, it was desert warfare, thats why they didn't use heavy armor, because in the freaking desert it just overheats you faster.

@kaboot....I dont know exactly which one of my statements your referring to but yes there was a difference between the terms "persian" and "iranian" during sass times. Persian referrs to a specific tribe under the linguistic category of "Iranian". Iranian referrs to all of these common tribes ( parthians, medes, persians, bacts). Even in Sassanian times the words were used in this fashion. Just because youre Iranian doesnt mean youre an expert. ( Im Iranian as well)

The Holy Roman Empire, the Great Schism, The fall of Constantinople, the Discovery of the Americas, La Reconquista, the Crusades, Beowulf and the Scotts, etc. Perhaps the most important fact of history of the West was that it succesfully resisted the rise of Islam and recovered some of its lands back.
