I'm just wondering if the decibels in my "drumming" room right now is about 110, like said in the video, how much would be reduced if I had a wall with one layer of the absorption sheets, 1 layer of drywall, the 3.2 acoustic barrier, wooden studs with nothing between them, and an other layer of drywall after the studs? I don't know how to calculate that.
Thanks for your comment. Let's discuss further via phone if you can. I'm certain you can reduce more than 20 dB easily, which is perceived as a 50% reduction of loudness overall. Looking forward to speaking with you!
When we built our old house we had the wall insulation go all the way to the ceiling on a 12 ft wall that separated the living room from the master bedroom. The DB were cut a lot, hence my Wife could sleep while my home theatre was playing at a decent level. And that was just plain wall insulation not any audio panels.
Genie clips huh? I will, thx man! I ended up finding some soundproofing material that was used on naval vessels engine rooms, unused and in the box, so I installed those on the walls and ceiling. I used a high rating insulation between the beams, then soundboard, and these sheets of foam panels with a plastic outside sheet and lots of little holes in them over the sound board. Looks good and sound is dramatically improved. As an added benefit the DB level outside was cut substantially.
However, its critical to understand that sound absorption sheets work extremely well as sound absorbent materials by absorbing echoes and reverberation, NOT as sound barriers. This means that hanging Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets in your room will NOT block sound from entering and exiting, but rather will reduce the sound pressure levels in the space producing a quieter environment both inside and outside the treated space
Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets have proved to be highly effective sound attenuation materials, helping hundreds of customers on a quest of how to dampen sound.
Can I have a video about what the drum volume sounds like before and after from THE OUTSIDE of a room. ? as i can see there is no such a video, few comments below already requested this 9 mounth ago but still nothing, no peacemaker involved just sheets!!!
You mean de-dressing? lol... but seriously, im trying to reduce the noise level outside my garage for band and drum practices. If I hang the white sound absorption sheets in front of my garage door, would that effectively reduce the db level on the outside? Also, does anyone know if there is some sort of brush or roll-on type product that can be applied to the inside wall (before insulation) that would act like the peacemaker sheets that go on the beams? Im looking for cost effective here....

Nice video. Suggestion, this video is going to attract a lot of musicians & home music producers. Jennifer needs some serious de-essing.
