  • I followed the steps on a OSX 10.6.8 system, with an external backup drive formatted as NTFS. All looked okay, until I actually copied files to a folder from the Mac to the external drive. It CORRUPTED the folder I put files in, and now I can't see any of the files that were there previously :| Is there any way to undo this? Is the data lost forever?

  • Good video. Worked for me with a Seagate external 500GB NTFS HDD. OS X 10.6.8.

  • It worked...But its not allowing me to MOUNT it back onto my mac. Its a USB Seagate Free Agent GO portable hard drive. How can I undo this? When I go to MOUNT it says it is unable to MOUNT and tells me to run First Aid. I clicked First Aid and no options are available to me. I appreciate your response asap...I need this hard drive to run my DJ company. :) Thanks.

    as i see is this a great tutorial but i have a problem. I can't type my password in the teminal. it does'nt do anything. when i type somthing in it does not appear on the screen. when i have to type in the sudo nano thing there is no problem. wat can i do

  • @RuudVervoort Don't worry thats the way terminal works.... just type your password and click enter and it will go through....

    I have 1 question though: what program did you use to record this? I have screenflow, but that doesn't have the ability to show the keys you press on your keyboard. So could you please tell me how you managed to pull that off?

  • @ruttyj92 yah... lol I tried to make an app for it but failed miserably, i couldn't change the fstab file via applescript. Changed the password as soon as I saw the video!
