Hey I've created a Smashing Pumpkins Facebk page....come join I need some fellow Pumpkin fans (old and new) most of my friends just don't get it lol. Look for 'Smashing Pumpkin Fans' thank you!!!
There ya go guys well idiots who were asking what album the song was off of. it's the singles soundtrack a movie that to be honest was gay but it featured pearl jam smashing pumpkins 90's grunge. Good soundtrack movie not so much.
Smashing pumpkins rick I wish they would out a rocking new CD yes a CD. Ho yea buy the way a coke head = D'Arcy well been there done that what the fuck you going to do LOL
@Rob22182 i know, but it wasnt my fault! we were in the middle of fucking and SP started playing Bullet With Butterfly Wings. i guess i got a little carried away with it...
Super Cool! I love watching videos of them from this time period. I can't believe how well Billy was able to play the solo live. I always thought he used a bunch of studio tricks......and no e-bow! I thought for sure he was using an e-bow for this solo.
LOL agree 100%. I own the soundtrack for Singles too... it's my favorite and probably the best soundtrack of all time IMO
Forrest Gump comes damn close, Almost Famous behind that. But Singles, not the greatest movie, was an "event" in modern rock history that people shouldn't forget.
But it does seem forgotten by many. Too bad. The Chris Cornell cut "Seasons" is one of my fav songs, "Birth Ritual" is great too...
All of em... the Pearl Jam tunes, "Drown", Screaming Trees, Hendrix, "Would?"
Old is actually remembering when this album, movie and Gish came out. They put on a free show in Minneapolis in 1998 and that was even a long time ago now, but I remember it like yesterday.
i love everything about this video. I love the song, i love the beginning part when billy says we all love each other, i love the pointy shoes hes wearing, i love the poor lighting in the club, and i love d'arcy without a shirt. Just wholly and completely awesome.
Couldnt agree with you more. Love the background noise of people talking, having a good time......such an intimate setting...and feeling....and such a very very good song
does anyone have a clue where this show took place? I lived in Chicago in the '90s and used to see them at Lounge Ax where they billed as "the Turnips" sometimes...I think right when Gish came out.
i love the static at the end, it is called static right? does anyone know any songs where they have that during the whole song? if you don't know what im talking about just ask, but it starts at like 5:23, im sure you know.
This song is so chill, I love the pumpkins. I honestly wish I had been like 5 or 10 years older. I'd have my youth primetime when this kinda music was really going on. Love it.
I don't get how so many people can overlook the genius of Billy's feedback and distortion abilities. To make it work, and be able to be listened to without feeling like you bit into a lemon, is hard. He pulls it off with ease and greatness. The ending with the instrumental is one of the best I've heard. Some people would skip to the next song (thanks cds) when this part came on, but I think it's just as glorious as any vocal laden parts.
With you there Jennifer. He borders on a sharp, almost intolerable edge, then brings it back again to a sweet, succulent finish. Only Hendrix could pull that off with regularity.
jesus god no shit, i was fucking 16 living in a small town in '92, going through my own coming of age. headbanger's ball was all i had. pumpkins didnt come out till a year or so later. what i would have given to have received the gift the people at this show did.
Nice to see the old club and intimate settings , and how some folks , including security guard had their jaws dropped at one point in this song This song is God saying to us : Check out the beauty of Billy s guitar
wow man, i wish i could have seen the pumpkins at a small venue like this; i saw them when they headlined 94 lollapalooza.... this is one of their best songs. thanks dude!
