The USPS will soon go bankrupt because most of their profit is from "commercial" mail. As more people get out of it they are loosing money. Soon there will be a postal museum where kids can see "mail."
I sort of agree with using Facebook in that way, however I really don't really use Facebook much -- I use Twitter much more so I like when I can sign up/login with Twitter, or even better because I am such an avid Google user [now], I like when I can signin with my Google Account.
Problem with AT&T call blocking and call screening is you never use it and you are paying for it. I've actually tried to use it and it isn't worth paying for. The screening is dodgy and you end up screening family and friends not telemarketers. They got a work-around. Plus the block is only for up to ten numbers. When there is bill collectors they won't block them.
Anymore, every time I log into my hotmail account, it's full of nothing but spam.
I haven't had a landline since 2004. If I don't recognize the number or comes up as "unknown," I let it go to voicemail. 99% of the time, they leave no message.
I remember in the late '90s, I once got a Nigerian 419 email from someone claiming to be Murphy Brown! LOL
I use to get tons of spam mail and we never knew why. But one day we signed up for something and they said that they never would give out my information to anyone. Well they missing spelled my last name. A short time later, I started getting spam mail with that misspelled last name. I called that company and chewed their butts off and they still insisted that they never gave out my info. But of course, I bet they did not give it out, they most likely sold it.
I used to get calls on my old cell phone from both parties during my town's election, before I even reached the age of 18. Advertising for your campaign FAIL
In Australia we have a "Do Not Call" register that has been setup by our government. If a company calls trying to sell something and you are on the list they will be fined by our government.
Haha, being careful about sharing your E-Mail, Chris? No, but on a serious note, I agree with most of the stuff you say. Be careful when "installing" applications on Facebook. A trick might be to have 2 E-Mail accounts and give all of you important contacts like family 1 of your E-Mail addresses. Give spammy websites your 2nd E-mail. I do like getting real cards from relatives for Chrismas/Birthday. The snail mail isn't completely useless, but some parts would be better gone.
10minutemail can can also add an extra 10mins if you want

Stuff credit card application envelopes with everything they sent you and send them back. I rarely get applications any more.

The Postal Service cried over this video.
GOOGLE VOICE IS AMAZING. I can block unknown or blocked calls (individually). Changed my life.

We also don't pick up the phone if theres a secret number calling.
But 4 years ago we did and it was the police saying my house was on fire.
So will you pick up the phone next?
