i dont know how many people feel this special feeling in the song, but its like you are in a sunny beach hanging out with friends surrounded with nice girls, i mean this song brings sooo soo many 80's feeling.
@jman2001jt give us some more information if you have it, if you know who this is and weather mutt lange was involved, let us know, ...dont be cool and secretive
This is done by a band called Sweet Cheater. They are a band out of Boston who had a decent following in the late 80's. Just remember the title say's "WANABE". Hence they were Def Leppard fans and were recording this song in a Def Leppard style.
@04241982 can you prove this is sweet cheater? it really doesnt sound like them, and its alot better sounding than anything they did, if this was theirs they would have released it i think
oh forgot what video this was....my last comment is based on the early demo of PSSOM that you can find on Youtube....point is it sounds alot like this...not sure but....listen to the PSSOM demo and decide for yourself
Ok...I listened to this closely..........this doesn't even sound too much like Mutt........and look when the lyrics are on the video. It says lyrics - "Scott Wesley?"not anybody in Def leppard....plus it was obviously typed on Word......
Mutt did however write all the verses to the demo of PSSOM and sang them, and sounded just like this...not the final words, we all know how those were done...
Simply not true. Mutt had a hand in cowriting definitely. And Joe even states he came up with the idea and then bounced it off Mutt. They went back and forth coming up with the lyrics.
I heard that Mutt and Joe recorded themselves speaking random words, and then they played it backwards to eachother and the first thing Joe heard was 'love is like a bomb' which set the tone for PSSOM. He's also said that PSSOM was based on songs like 20th century boy by T Rex - they're not supposed to make proper sense. Mutt would have helped, but I'd imagine Joe did the majority of the work for the songwriting.
Where's the bass guitar? I could really use more BASS in this mix!

Per Def Leppard's own Malvin Mortimer This is not Def Leppard singing!

That photo at 1:37 is kind of eerie, the way Rick Allen's left arm is out of the photo and he's kind of leaning to one side like he does now.
Foreshadowing??? Nah, but it still looks weird.
randommagnum 2 years ago
@randommagnum Well, he still had his arm then. It's just the camera cut his arm out.

Mutt is so above and beyond as far as talent goes. Probably took him an afternoon to come up with this.
Everything he touches literally turns to gold - and platinum.
raypowersmusic 3 years ago 3
i thought Mutt was def leppard's producer not their lead vocals!
JoeElliot1994 3 years ago
He was. Just did some lead vocals on some side projects. But he was the backing vocalist on the songs he helped the leppards produce.
danewson 3 years ago
This song sounds tight though. It does sound like the leps instruments. But Mutt Lange sounds tight by himself.
danewson 3 years ago
First question, where did you find this? Second, got any more to share?
LepLuvJoexx 3 years ago 2
Remember, Mutt wrote Love Bites too, that wasn't a leppard song until they leppardized it. This is really cheesy, but Mutt knows his stuff.

no not wrong at all
joshofcontempt 2 years ago
THis is most likely an all Mutt Lange demo, that's definetely Mutt on vocals and guitars, and the drums are prolly a machine.
This was a Def Leppard intended song written by Mutt.
Similar to the PSSOM demo which is ALL Mutt.
DLF38 3 years ago 6
Clue needed. Mutt did not write all of pssom nor did he write love bites.
jeez

oh but it is true....the version of PSSOM u hear on Hysteria was the Joe and Mutt saying nonsense words etc etc.
THIS DEMO is ALL Mutt I have the multitracks.
ALL vocals and guitars are him and the drums and bass are machines he programmed.
The words on THIS demo were also all Mutt's except for the words "Pour Some Sugar on Me" which were Joe's idea

Not even a nice try, and to think you believe you could pass this as a Def Leppard demo, but the problem is you left out Def Leppard. Take care.
Peace To All
Dav620 3 years ago
it probably is a def leppard demo, except with mutt lange on lead vocals, he was considered the 6th member of def leppard
joshofcontempt 2 years ago
nice try but this is no Leppard.
