Hair Update: Saga Gold Remi Yaki Hair (6 weeks of Wear)

I had no problem with this hair yet. I have had it in for about a week and a half, but I am so busy with my newborn baby sometimes I forget to wrap it at night,, but when I wake up the hair is still tangle free. With other hair that I wrapped every night would tangle and shed bad by this time. I have had nearly every hair imaginable and I love this hair! LADIES: Be sure you are purchasing your hair from an authorized dealer!! Or else you could end up with 10 dollar hair in a Remy Saga package.

its weird that a lot of people have been having really bad shedding with this hair because i had it in for two months and the hair still looked brand new. all i did was wash it once a week and everytime it would bounce right back

@BabyVixen007 How often are you heat styling your hair? Heat styling everyday will damage any extension and will also cause it to open the cuticle how any hair and the result will be fraying and tangling too. Also how often are you washing the hair too! Weekly washing is highly recommended. I hope this helps :)

This hair for me has actually been really great. I've had it for 3 weeks going on 4 weeks, this hair for me has had minimal shedding, absolutely no tangling. BUT i just have a regular 1B, and I hear that the highlighted/colored hair tends to shed and tangle more. I wash my hair usually once a week, and i dont use a lot of product. Seems to me the more product the heavier it gets and the more it tends to look ratty. Overall for the 100 bucks i paid for the 12in (2packs) it was worth it

I am going on 6 weeks tomorrow and I still get compliments on it but the shedding is RIDICULOUS! I was ready to take this out 3 weeks in....oh well! Your looks really pretty though!

i have this hair in now i have a 14 and a 12 inch and i will NEVER get this hair again!!! It is horrible it pouffs up it tangles mine sheds like a beast its horrible. I have had it for about 6 weeks and i am extremely dissapointed i paid alot for this hair and it was not worth the investment next time i will just get bobby boss hair. HI!! i had a 10" and after about 3 weeks mine started poofing out :( but that was a glue in, and with the sew in, i got the same poofing out problem, i didnt put a lot of product however i did have to straighten it at about week 2. i also had the 1B/30

Do you take breaks between intsalls? Did you say you were having breakage? That could be why you are having some breakage. Hair needs ample time( maybe a week or more) to recover from from sew/braids...If you go straight from a sew in to another one.It could be detrimental to your hair retention.

@nhop76 I am currently wearing a 10in and 12in in this brand of hair. It has been in for four weeks and YES it is bunching in the back. It has started to shed as well. The shedding is not major, but the bunching is. Most of the tangles are in the back. I don't wrap my hair every night, instead I tie it back and put on a sleep cap. I probably won't buy this hair again. I was hoping it would last longer than 4 weeks (before it started shedding and creeping up).

YES!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! You could not be more truthful about anything in this video! I do experience tangling with the longer Saga Gold hair. I saw the whole video and I still wondering. What do you put on your weave daily to moisturize it? I see you put motion on your real hair but what about your weave to keep it shiny and healthier w/o weighing it down? How many time a week you put it in? Do you put whatever in twice a day? @crazygood5 Ummm. .. In the video I showed that I used Olive Oil's moisture lotion on my hair and I also put the excess that was left over on the weave. I also showed what essential oil I used on my hair and the weave too. That is all I used. You have to see if you hair starts to look dry and dehydrated that is when you need to reapply your moisture Items. Best wishes

I agree everyone's hair is different. I live on the west coast and it is very dry here basically, i live the desert. My stylist told me to wash my hair every two weeks. I know, I was in shock too but because it is so dry I tried it and my hair is doing very well. It is not as dry and doesn't shed as much. So what other's think is disgusting i.e. not washing your hair every week others may think is okay i.e. washing your hair every two weeks. Keep up the videos and you are doing an awesome job!!!

Your hair looks great but I have the Milky Way SAGA Gold Remy Hair & it has been a nightmare for me! It started to tangle, shed & matte after two weeks. I have tried so many products to prevent it from tangling but noting works. I am a serial hair washer. Can u recommend any products to use on this particular brand of hair?

Quick question. . . Do you have black hair? Are you a professional hair stylist? The reason why I ask is that if you did have black hair you would know that our hair texture become very dry and excessive washing can make the dry and brittle, hence breakage. That is why our hair texture is washed 1-2 times a week at the most. Just FYI

@nhop76 obviously I do, and if I did not clean my scalp for a week it would become filthy... washing your hair often is not "excessive" otherwise showering daily would be "excessive". not washing hair allows it to get dry and brittle because it needs water and deep conditioner, not sweat and grime.

@candiimamii326 Hey girl, I am not trying to cause any issues here. I am just sharing this video to my viewers that requested to know what I do with my hair. My stylist recommends, for my hair type, to wash and condition no more than 2 times a week. Everyone's hair is different and everyone's hair texture and scalp conditions are not all the same. That's all... I totally understand how the hair needs water and conditioner for sure.

great video Tasha...i have to say that it doesn't matter what kind of hair you buy, the longer it is, the more it tangles....the tangling is due to the fact that it rubs against your neck, certain materials your clothes are made of...it will definitely tangle if you wear jewlery around your neck....i'm currently wearing an 18" indian remy full lace wig and it does tangle from time to time in the area you indicated

i used this hair wheni got my sew in January 28th 2010. @ first it was great. after about 3 weeks i washed it and thats when the shedding and tangling started.

I have the same brand of hair sewn in...a 12 & 14 inch...Ive had it in for about 6 weeks and I have had no problem with shedding or tangling. It is very long pass my bra strap and the hair is holding up great. I did notice that it stopped curling as much so after I washed and conditions it was like brand new!! I love this hair!

hey! i had the 10' and 12" and after i wash it, it was nice for like 1 or 2 days and then it just puff up!!!! someone told me to get the saga silver. they said its a better quality hair

i think this is a very informative video Tasha. i also like that you kept repeating that you don't need to use a lot of product on your hair. Often times we brown girls over-do it with product because we think we need it , however, it weighs down the hair and doesn't allow it to breath. I think your hair is so pretty and longer would look so nice on you. I do believe Ateyaa used the indian hair before and her's lasted a very long time. So check w/ her. Love and blessings xoxox
