You're right about that, at least. "Race" is a very loose idea in itself, although even I reject the whole "latino/hispanic" thing as a label for myself. Some don't though, but some do. Some Mexicans are pretty true to their native american cultural roots, but a good number are part of "ladino" culture. This is the more complex issue.

You're right about that, at least. "Race" is a very loose idea in itself, although even I reject the whole "latino/hispanic" thing as a label for myself. Some don't though, but some do. Some Mexicans are pretty true to their native american cultural roots, but a good number are part of "ladino" culture. This is the more complex issue.
