@ckentertainment10 to trigger midi cues and loops or you can assign different one shots to each pad and record shit...you can do a lot of stuff with it man very versatile. it all comes from how you program it

@Vidmakr6302 the mpd doesn't actually do anything. It's just a load of buttons and knobs that you can use to control software. Kinda like your mouse and keyboard.

The program he's using is called ableton live, check it out.

@TheMichaelliberty Ableton Live 8. he has it running into his computer through usb. then has the main output coming out of his computer into desktop speakers or monitors.

If i were do try to do this live, I would have it plugged into my computer, and from my computers sound output (where you would put headphones) run the cable into a channel on my dj mixer. You would need a Y cable that does RCA (red and white) so you can get stereo sound and to ensure it doesnt f up your pa system.

get a fucken korg! i got padkontrol its better then either it has a x-y pad which isnt avaliable on alot of controllers, and you got like 256 on 16 zones and you can control mad ammount of samples on LIVE, reason etc etc im happy with mine

MPD's have 8 knobs, 8 faders, sustain to the pads and more.

really? when i configure the different midi-commands i simply have to klick on some "knob" in the program and if you turn the real knobs then they should be recognized...i don't have any problems with them...i also use them in virtual dj and stuff like that

then click a parameter you wish to control and then turn the corresponding knob on your controller

it started out like a cheesy gimic then ended brilliantly, like a nice future sound of london type landscape... have you tried the loosening the timing of the beats to the drum grid? it will make the drumming more organic less robotic. robotic is good as long as its funky and lands on the one.
