Yes, I believe the symbol of the Democrats is a Donkey, and the Republicans have an elephant.. :) Don't ask me why.. Anyway, I agree, I think a good choice was made this time! But only time will tell.. as always!! :)

I was in the USAF 4 years when Ike was president and he vetoed both proposed pay raises so the best I got was $145.00 a month.

I like the Stevenson line where Ike was described as "looking down the green fairways of indifference" and Sherman Adams getting gift of a vicuna coat was big time in those days. :)

I thought Ike was the same Eisenhower that liberated England and personally shot Hitler (according to recent US History research).. surely he would have APPROVED of the Armed Forces getting a decent pay? :)
