What other songs did Sam sing on Star Search. He sang a total of 18 times. I wish they would post all of his songs and i really wish he would have made a video and recorded this song. One of the best singers in the 20th Century.

It's unfair to compare this performance to Streisands'. She was playing a character in a storyline singing the song, with input from the director. She wasn't just singing it for a recording. There is a big difference

One of my favorite songs, lyrice profound in that we ask ourselves the same thing daily, in reference to any number of people. I have beevr heard this fellow before, and I enjoy his voice. I think if he sang it in a more direct, 'need to know' way, would have been more special. Of course, I am not the one there, nor could be so I am not one to comment, so excuse me. Again, love the song and would like to see him, today, to see how he had matured, as here he must be no older than about 22. Bravo!

My Daughter found this and shared it with me cause she knows that I've loved Sam Harris since his Star Search days. Even now I still consider him one of the best vocalist this Cuntry's produced. I soo remember being a kid in Oklahoma and idolizing Sam Harris! I thought if he can act like that then I can be who I am too, after all he won freaking "Star Search"!! The biggest talent show at that time! His voice always manages to do that thing to you like the legends do!! The goose bumps and all! He has always been easy on the eye too!

Sam Harris is a talent that commands you to listen, experience emotion. You will never see him with singing with a group of 20 backup dancers to hide the fact he has little talent. He is Amazing, sorry that this song has not made it on to one of his albums

The thing about him was I believe he was much better live then in the studios. The reason why is because he puts so much into it live. He literly feels & lives what he sings. For this reason I think he will always be one of those performers that is better to see live then thru a disc or record or radio.
